Great newbie drive.

Last 30 mts was just simply awesome.

thanks a lot for the drive, tips and guides before and through the drive -especially on refusals. Enjoyed it .

thanks rahimbhai, Sri, Asif, Emmanuel, and others who participated and made this drive enjoyable.

thanks again for all the food and drinks- tasty!

final good deed of the day was helping out the car stuck in sand at the exit point.

all in all it was a good days enjoyment.

best wishes

Great day, but a little spoiler as I got delayed due to car starting troubles. My sincere thanks to @skumar83 / @Asif Hussain and @EmVarlet for taking the floor and presenting the most important information for anybody joining for the first time. By the time I reach everybody was edging to get into the sands and was looking forward to the drive. After a quick deflation and convoy numbering we were off. A big thanks to @BIG T for being my second lead, he understood the terrain very well and managed teh second lead position with great application of whatever has been thought to him so far. Thanks to @Per A for being an absolute fantastic passenger to @Asif Hussain and was open to discuss about his new ride to be. @srini62 just amazed me with his new form in the desert, I was surprised to see him keep up all the way. Thanks to @g.huz and @yogic for being enthusiastic and willing to learn. Special thanks to @hossein for bringing his family out for some off-road fun.

It was a quick 40 minutes ride to Pink Rocks and everybody injoyed climbing the Pink Rocks in one go. Here the level was increased slightly and everybody managed well right until our little corner for snacks and chats. Everybody bought so many food types it was difficult to decide which one to have first. After we packed up Asif bhai hadd to leave, but the rest we still edging to get 30 - 40 minutes more in the desert, except for Taimur and his brother who were ready for another 5 hours drive. So we played around the Big Red. Just at the time we were supposed to exit we saw 3 girls who were struggling with a van, so we all got together and helped them out and on their way back with a generous smile. Loved the day, the drive, the people, the food and everything in between. until next time Adios Amigos.

Due to the shortage of time last week, there was some unfinished business on the dunes south of the MBR Solar Panels. So lets attempt to reach there this time starting from Al Faqa. The area provides long range dunes that offer a perfect playground to ramp up the pace a bit and stretch the legs of both car and driver.  We will explore the area, and alternate between side sloping, ridge crossing, and enjoy whatever this area has to offer.
This drive is for Fewbie and above level only.
      When: 24 January 2020, Friday
Meeting time: 06:45 AM, the convoy will move sharply at 07:00 AM
      Where: Al Faqa
      GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/dt57TRJ3ak4SrCkX8
Level of drive: Fewbie and above
Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance.
Plan: Drive and enjoy until about 12 PM, with some small breaks in between to have breakfast and snacks.
What to bring along: Some snacks, plenty of water - whatever you like with little extra to share, smiles, stories, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
      Approximate finish time: 12 PM

Since Ramadan we have stuck with the formula of having night drives to enjoy the absence of the sun while temperatures also become bearable by early morning before the sun rise. Time to break the fast and have a drive by day time. I'm pleased to announce the upcoming drive on 18th Aug, Friday late afternoon to let our team test our rides in the late afternoon hours. After seeing the level of all our members rise consistently this drive is not going to be as challenging compared to any of our previous drives and we will be welcoming any new comers to add to their new experience. The beauty of this area, the wide open dunes, and with the occasional sighting of wildlife like gazelles and oryx are all reasons to set your pulses racing. The plan would be to meet up at 4:30 pm as per the below link and than head out to have some awesome fun through terrain that will leave you wanting more, and we will end it with a good spot to sit around and have a BBQ session with chats about the drive, general talk and share some jokes.
      When : 18 August 2017 at 4:30 pm
Where : First Emarat Petrol station on Dubai - Al Ain Road after Outlet Mall.
      GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/KD4Lath3cB42
Level of drive: Newbie/Fewbie any level, just be prepared to have a relaxed drive and enjoy the BBQ
      Plan: Drive followed by BBQ
What to bring along: Stuff for BBQ like grill, charcoal, lighter fluid and BBQ meat or chicken, water, liquids, smiles, stories, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Approximate finish time : 10 pm
Note : Drive level can be changed if required to suit the level of the convoy.
