Hi @Erik Ean above bolt-on hook is completely fine for joining off-road drives. Please make sure your vehicle has this or any other tow point in front and back too, as its mandatory for all cars.

Secondly can you share which year your Subaru Outback is? And if it has minimum of 8 Inches of ground clearance?

Even better if you can share the car front and rear bumper pics as well, please for me access it.

I really look forward to take Subaru in sand as we have never seen one here in Dubai sand.

Subaru Outback.

The car has 8.7 inches of ground clearance.

It's has the connection holes in front and also in the back bumpers. My only concern was to confirm with more experience drivers if these are appropriate to recover in the desert. To recover the car you need to strap  in the screw (the one on the photo above). Often I drive this car over the sand when I go camp with friends, places like milky way spot, Al wathbah, I got stucked once, and I was able to recover myself using the traction tracks, however I have never tried dune bashing. Now I'm curious to see if the car is capable of some light drive on the desert. I'll post the photos tomorrow morning.

These bolt on hooks are perfectly rated and capable for recovering "your" vehicle. We have used these many times on many cars.

Bolt-on hooks strength become questionable when you wish to recover heavier vehicle which is beyond your car rating.

8.7 Inches is good enough for this drive and plus for newbie drives. Looking forward to test Subaru in dunes.

@Gaurav thanks!!! Just want to know if I need to do PCR 48 hours prior or I can do it before that and have my vaccination status (in green) on al hosn app which will allow me Entry.. I am not so clear about the rules these days.
