Jeh
People who change their tires or wheels may risk getting a speeding ticket because their speedo reading may be wrong. I recently changed my stock tires on my RR ('99) from 255/65/R16 to 265/70/R16 and was quiet surprised to the see a difference in my speedometer reading and my Garmin GPS reading! Research tests have shown that there is an increase in your speed by up to 8 per cent without you being aware when you change to a different profile tire. The tests compared the cars' actual speed to the speedo reading plus how the speed was effected by altering tire pressures and changing to a different profile tire. So guys please use tools available online to determine the actual speed of your vehicle after altering your standard tires. As the number of mobile sped cameras have increased in UAE we should not rely on speedometer reading alone.
