Hi everyone and thank you guys for a superb drive. It was my 3rd drive with @Ale Vallecchi and after a long gap I loved to be a part of this convoy. Thank you @Ale Vallecchifor yet another wonderful and energetic drive, where you taught us about all possible tricks and tips which this terrain could offer and special thanks for trusting me as your sweep😀.Thank you @Mehmet Volgafor a perfectly executed CF and for all the advices and helps in assisting in recoveries. @Lakshmi Narasimhandid really good as the second lead ,👍 keep it up buddy. @Ranjan Pattanaikdid manage his explorer very well , @Gregory @ARAGONand @Pmarazitidid really good at the front ( it was not an easy task in such soft sand) @Warren Flayit was nice to see you in ur SWB pajero and did the self recovery very well. Keep it up bro. @JeromeFJ @WaYanand @Chris Winghad lots of fun with their beasts manuvered really good. @Roger Kdid really good with your LR and did amazing self recovery 👏👏 and finally @TT_Dubaidid amazing job with his wrangler and unfortunately had a pop out , but dealt with it fine. Thank you guys once again and hope to join you guys soon.

A very enjoyable drive today with a lot of back to basic refreshers. Some newbie side sloping combined with some technical dunes to keep us all alert. Thanks again to @Ale Vallecchifor the structured itinerary and helping me when I popped my first pop out cherry 😀 and for the support from @Mehmet Volgaand @Shaaz Sha in getting me back into the action in less than 15 minutes! Thank you! Lots of instruction over the radio. At one point I took a call while watching the others and waiting for my turn to climb a tricky soft dune. The walkie talkie was on in the background. The caller asked whether I was outside a mosque with the Imam in full flow...nah it was just Ale giving his instructions to the convoy 😂 Nice to start the weekend with the drive and have a great weekend all!

@Ale Vallecchi, @Mehmet Volgavery good drive. Managed through few tricky areas very well and guiding every one. It was pleasure to follow the tracks of @Ale Vallecchi, loved it a lot and thanks for lots of tips all around the drive. Definitely it was a drive for few taking us out of the comfort zone and to experience ridge riding and crossing the bowls, special thanks for taking through ridge riding one by one and the briefing and letting us to watch others doing the ridging to understand what mistakes we do. I believe every one in the drive had something new to learn with few refusals, recoveries, pop out and enjoyed. I throughly enjoyed this drive in the convoy and looking for many more drives!!!

Thank you everybody for showing up for the drive and arriving early at the meet up point. Today, we had a short convoy and we ensured we made most of it. To start before even getting into the dunes, we assisted the Mitsubishi Outlander who was stuck on the dirt track. At the beginning, we started slowly to see the response of the convoy and gradually the pace was increased and the convoy was coping successfully. Since, the response of the convoy was good, we also tried some technical areas. I am glad to see @William Fernandes showing interest in learning and the improvement was obvious during the drive itself. @Thomas Varghese got the opportunity to learn to do recoveries and also to use your rope. I am very grateful to Marjan @Jeepie for firstly giving me the opportunity to lead and it was a great experience for me. And secondly for your valuable guidance, support and feedback provided to me through out. Please find some statistics below about the drive.

great drive, great learning experience , one step closer to getting in sync with my car, and a sense of accomplishment for my second offroad drive, although i can see "miles to go before i sleep", nevertheless 🙃 Thanks @Ale Vallecchi for giving us a taste of ridge riding, under a fully controlled environment and your able guidance. I think we newbies gave you a real test of your patience today!! 😃

thanks @Luca Palanca Falsini and @Niki Patel for a tremendous drive this morning, we thoroughly enjoyed it, very grateful for the help and advice on my first pop out. I have just returned from the tire shop less 1kg of sand from the inside of my tire and ready to go, it lost 7 psi on the way home with no noticeable wobble, but was amazed how much came out. Time for a pop out kit bag with water spray, single inflate hose and blower. See you all soon.

DRIVE REPORT Attendees @Desert Wrangler @aaron kamall @Ahmed Mostafa @Trent @Anish Varghese @Nafly Azhar @Ahmed Mostafa and @Nafly Azhar , both with the Pajeros, did very well on their first drive. These cars are great offroad vehicles, but a bit more difficult to learn the art of offroading compared with a Jeep Wrangler for example. Talking about Jeep Wranglers, @aaron kamall, @Desert Wrangler, @Anish Varghese brought theirs, and drove very well throughout the drive. And talking about tricky, @Trent brought a dune ship in the form of the mighty F150 but perfect throttle control and impressive skills, and a very capable co-pilot did the trick! Big thanks to @sertac for the help today. One of the members brought a Walkie Talkie that we tried to program, i think it was this one: Looks like you have to hold the MENU button and then turn on the unit to put it in Frequency mode. Moving forward you all will be joining the Newbie drives and not an Absolute Newbie drive. Drives are announced every Sunday at 11 am, and they go live on Sunday at 7:10 pm. Due to the high demand, these drives get full in about 10 minutes, so please be online at 7 pm to book your spot. If you miss a spot, put your name on the waitlist asap. Generally, by Thursday with dropouts everyone does get a spot if they have waitlisted. For the next drives, please bring along a deflator, pressure gauge, flag and radio as a minimum. Learn to deflate your tires and checking them precisely Learn to fix a flag on your car Learn to program and fully charge your radio Also like I mentioned during the debriefing, join the Carnity Whatsapp Drive Notification to get the latest updates on the drives, so that you can RSVP on time for the next weekend's drive. It was a morning well spent! I was initially a bit skeptical about a small convoy....but as remarked by one of the members that the small size of the convoy is not far off the master class in that a personal tutorial imparted during the drive makes all the difference. @Jeepie, @Anish S and @Thomas Varghese thank you for a great drive! @Anish S did a great job leading under @Jeepie watch who coordinated the drive and @Thomas Varghese i would like to say I felt very safe with you as the Sweep at the back! Thank you and have an awesome weekend! I could not have put it better @Thomas Varghese! You seem to be in your element when it comes to photography!

Carnity management will be closing down additional comments on this drive after this post. We appreciate and acknowledge that the drivers now fully understand that individual behavior demonstrated could have been better, and fell outside the published COVID19 precautions. These rules, which have been agreed by all drivers, make it clear that there is an individual responsibility to comply and it appears that in this case, a number of drivers acknowledge they may well have lack to fully comply. There are no provisions in the published Carnity COVID19 precautions for the drive lead to assume responsibility for the behavior of individual drivers. Currently, no one has been banned, including Rahimdad. We do feel, however, that based on the above, drivers are now on notice that further infractions of the COVID19 precautions rules will result in an "individual ban" from future drives.
