To be very honest, you were quite lucky today that the coolant hose ruptured was small and easily accessible to be patch with mseal, duct tape and cable ties. We always try to do whatever we can but we arent mechanic so our capabilities are very limited for such emergencies repair. This incident should remind everyone to be 200% sure on keeping regular maintenance and checks for their desert vehicles. Hope your explorer doesnt become exploder again. Thanks @Mukundan Nair and @Gaurav Soni for excellent teamwork and patience for such emergency repair job and rescue drive.

Today's desert drive was one of the best so far, however my vehicle broke down towards the end. Recovering my vehicle would not have been possible without the excellent commitment and dedicated support of the Carnity team @Gaurav @Mukundan Nair @Gaurav Soni; who after leading the remaining convoy to the exit, spent three hours to make it possible to bring my vehicle to the area where recovery service was accessible .It is thanks to them that I was able to prevent abandoning my car in the desert. I have reached my home safely and my car is in the workshop and many thanks to the team for this.

@Luca Palanca Falsini thanks for the diverse upbeat drive, nothing like Faya on a Friday sunrise to get your blood going for the weekend! Everybody did awesome and we maintained solid momentum throughout. @TT_Dubai haha thank you for the compliment, me and the jimny certainly try our hardest to keep up with the V8 big dogs! @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil definitely send me some footage if you can!

@Luca Palanca Falsini thank you for leading us this morning on that beautiful drive. An eclectic mix of dunes that allowed us all to enjoy, learn and test our capabilities. @Dodi Syahdar and @Mehmet Volga thank you for the support. I didn't check the videos from the GoPro yet but I'll probably get a lot of footage of @Nathan Evans @TT_Dubai had that same feeling after my first FB drive (it was also with @Luca Palanca Falsini by the way 😅 Nice weekend everyone and see you soon !

Drive Report Well done @Ahmed MATAR @Joshua Thibodeaux @Taufique Surve ! The Sweihan dunes are impressive terrain for members who are relatively new to the off-road world, but you guys rocked on and we had some good fun this morning. A big thanks to @Jeepie and @Wrangeld for the support in the back, as they were on their second drive in the last 24 hours, which is in this heat not evident. @Chaitanya D his Xterra felt like taking a day off today unfortunately, and it's a shame you guys did not have a taste yet of his fantastic lead but no doubt all of us will be back in AD soon to taste those dunes again and do some exploration. Stick around guys as we Dubai peeps are totally in love with the Abu Dhabi terrain. See you soon !

It was a very uneventful day. 1st the differential hit some rock and broke in the middle of no where. I had gone for a short drive inside the desert to check out the car before your fast and furious drive. We were playing in iftar bowl and doing the climbs. I think the differential hit a rock while coming down in one attempt and the front wheels locked up. Me and my friends tried to figure out a way to get the car out of iftar bowl somehow but as you know we are not mechanics and we don't have all the tools. Finally my mechanic agreed to come from Ajman with all the tools as I was reluctant to leave the car inside the desert for a day or two. He arrived by 11.30 pm and in half an hour he disconnected the drive shaft towards the front differential from the transfer case and one of the axels to immobilize the broken differential. Once it was all done then it was superb display of tugging the car out with a Y 61 by a friend as my car was struggling to find its power on 2H in the dark. Back on the tarmac by 2am and all re inflated we returned back home by saying good bye to each other. I really appreciate the friends who stood with me from the beginning to the end. Well the misfortune didn't end there. The mechanic in his sleepy mode forgot to tighten the left front wheel after removing the axle and off it came while driving back home. Luckily the entire wheel didn't fall off and we didn't topple as speed was less. After borrowing a wheel nut from each wheel and putting the runaway wheel back we continued and reached home by 5am. It was a very uneventful day. Waiting for a front differential to arrive on Saturday to be fixed so that I can continue my adventure's with @Carnity. The silver lining of all this was my friends who stood with me during all this ordeal and left me only after getting the car on to tarmac. Be wary about the rocks lying at the bottom of iftar bowl. Thanks @Frederic for the timely advice to remove the axle which initiated the whole process and finally got us out from an impossible place. Note: My new lights are awesome and light up the desert.

Hi everyone, first of all thank you for participating today in our drive! The path between BigRed to Faya is always a wonderful experience and today was blessed by all of you, a great convoy full of enthusiasm and not scared at all in front of the challenges we met. We covered roughly 50Km full of fun with big dunes, wonderful landscapes, sabkhas and technical areas. We start on time that’s quite important because we had the opportunity to visit the top of BigRed not once but twice! with exceptional daylight (hope to see some photos ). @Chinthaka Ruwan you did a very good job as a SL. Nice to see your smiley face anytime I meet you to exchange impressions about the drive. Hope to see you again soon on a different path! @Nathan Evans you surprised me again, after a little warm-up you show that you are able to handle your Jimny exceptionally well! Keep driving with us! @Alain Canivet-Abikhalilhope you enjoyed the drive. Your skill has improved a lot by the last time we met. @Russ thank you for joining us, even if your car is not an easy beast to handle, you did a great job with it! @Dodi Syahdar I think today was your first trip as CF, I was little worried when I saw how many people you were carrying but you did a great job @TT_Dubai was nice to meet you today and see that you liked the drive. Thank you @Islam Soliman for this wonderful drive and entrusting me with the sweep position, absolutely loved every moment (including the extended hour where we got to learn dealing with super soft sand as the temperature reached 45+). Well done @Ranjan Das our 2nd lead today and @Tamas Hoffmann for your brilliant support as CF through out the drive, impressed with the way you always re-routed the convoy whenever it was required. Dear @Frederic the wow part of this experience is there is no terrain unconquerable when you have like minded friends who stand with you come what may. That's the moral of this experience. I was not stressed or worried when my car broke down. I knew I could count on my friends for the needful. We didn't do anything stupid and we all came out unharmed. I have to thank all you marshals and the absolute newbie briefing @Carnity for this.

Such an amazing drive all in all. I got lost twice while climbing one of the bigger dunes. Was surprised to see that I could drive just fine but couldn't figure out where to go! Experienced some really soft sand which was good experience. I'll keep my mouth shut next time so that I don't jinx the drive Hah! Wow, what a jump from a newbie drive. Lots of tracks and sabkhas where you can get the speed up, bowls to have fun, hill climbs to test your torque and momentum, ridge riding and criss crossing at high altitude to test your ⚽. Did I mention I have vertigo? 😄 Very nice drive and we covered a lot of ground from Big Red to Faya. Thanks for the route and leading @Luca Palanca Falsini and to the seniors @Dodi Syahdarand @Mehmet Volga Car of the day was definitely the Jimny, respect for revving the nuts off the 1.5 litre at every hill climb!

Thanks @Kailas for the wonderful drive today through a highly diverse Terrain full of high slopes, bumpy vegetation, long range dunes, super soft sand, technical areas concocted together through series of beautiful wide spread sabkhas. We couldn't breach the 100km mark, however reached the planned destination covering around 75Km at a decent moving speed of around 26Kmph (with multiple tech areas that we covered, not a bad speed for a long convoy). We had our share of pop out(s) (two at once), a complicated stuck and other minor refusals n ofcourse my friendship with Crest. Thanks to an experienced convoy we could really hit the pedal hard and managed the terrain pretty well. Personally, i was trying with PSI levels reduced by couple of points and with a bit lower revs then my usual, worked at most places apart from that small crest (thanks for highlighting that perhaps it's more than level of momentum it's the the fact that i am letting it go fraction of secs early, it's a continuous learning process and will continue to work).. All and all a lovely drive and surely worthy of that super early morning (or actually late night) alarm.. Thanks all hope to catch up with you all soon.

It was a wonderful experience today. I got several reversal and stuck. Learned a lot of recovery techniques. The challenge for me was to keep my distance with a car in the front of me, especially when the convoi stopped. Many times I realised that I stopped at a wrong place and wrong position. Other issue was when @Sunil Mathewslowed down, I sometimes lost momentum and wasn't able to pick up. Thanks for the lead, @Gaurav. See you on the next drive

Beautiful drive, glad that we pretty much had the desert for ourselves along with few camels. It was my first time as a sweeper (didn't have to do much as everyone drove smoothly). Excellent route and leadership @Vanessa8580. Happy we got in and out on time.

@Vanessa8580thanks for one of the smoothest drives (you already have a reputation for it 😀).... thanks for allowing me to support you on the drive it was fantastic, got so much to learn. I think the whole convoy should be proud of themselves, everyone did very well, a few refusals here and there were managed with ease. @Ammar Naji and @Zixuan Huang both did very well to support the rest of the convoy. have a great weekend guys, hope to catch up with you all soon.
