  1. @Naveen Raj @Davie Chase @MMansoor@Jorge Stepniak Felippe@H3 Joe@Archibald Jurdi@Anoop Nair@Looper@Arda Yagcioglu @Kailas@GauravSoni Thank you all for joining yesterday and for your support on this drive ! We all headed out into the sands eager to see what the desert has in store for us. The dunes behind the Remah camel race track are a gem and we had our fill in that area. Everyone drove very well and with a super capable second lead in @Jorge Stepniak Felippe I was free of worries and could keep the pace going. A pop-out took a bit longer as the tyre sustained some damage and we had to install the spare tyre. Later on in the drive @Arda Yagcioglu his Xterra started to have some issues, starting with a Check Engine light, and later on a Valve lifter noise. We decided to take no risks and instead of going up north towards Fayah, we took the exit track down south towards Al Khaznah town. The car sounded fine at the exit but it will need a checkup I’m afraid. I hope you enjoyed a good morning out and hope we can do this again soon !

Drive Details Level: Fewbie and above (all levels) Meeting time: 3:00 PM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: Dropped pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/KpNVJmVnV8NpnqQx5 Action Plan: On these quiet Ramadan weekends, waiting for Iftar can be long and tiring. We'll occupy the hours preceding the breaking of the fast with a speedy drive through the diverse terrains of Faqa. Starting and returning to its sabkha, just north of the town, we'll drive into the technical area closest to Solar Park's "chimney", reach the open area just ahead of Little Sweihan, then take the way back, through Faqa's tall, long range dunes running parallel to E44 (the border with AD), to close the loop. Quite a pristine area, little driven (especially the first part), with opportunities to test the complete set of off-roading skills. Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Approximate finish time: 6:30 PM P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

  26. For the regular body wash we go to the ADNOC station nearby Remraam. Its a new station so not too very busy. 45Dhs and the guys do a good job. For the underbody stuff i head to Umm Suquim Grand Service Center, which is more expensive, but these guys do an immaculate job. I usually slip them a tip if they did a good job (which is usually the case). And quite often i wash my cars in my own drive-way with the hose. I find it relaxing and i do my fluid checkups at the same time.

  29. Always good to spend time in the desert and enjoy the good company and Carnity spirit. Had a great time this morning, although for a moment was wondering if I was in a Carnity Convoy or a Jeeprs one! Thanks @Islam Soliman for fantastic drive as always, regardless of the level! Well done to @Amr Aydin in second lead and @imranaasghar81 sweeping the convoy! We had some great learnings at the beginning how important tyre pressures are, and it isn’t a “one pressure” for all tyres and vehicles. You will learn over time what is right for your car. Good mix of technical and open dunes to continue practicing our skills. Well done to the guys at the front who were on their first or second drive. As Islam explained, over time you will get to know your cars and the balance between steering, gas and momentum. As always, few pictures of the “Majestic jeeps” in the gallery and below a link to article on Compressors for @shailendra singh vilkhu

  34. @Mark D I have been going to hi way auto wash in Jebel Ali for the last couple of years. 52 aed for full body wash ( lifting the car and underneath as well) I tip the washing guy 10 aed and he cleans the engine bay with some chemical. Makes it look brand new. I am a regular client so after my desert drive, I first go to the detailing station, open the hood and get it blown by compressed air, nooks and corners in the engine bay, clean the air filter with compressed air and then to the washing station. Not crowded. 30 mins in and out. Really good for 50 bucks. I also make sure they remove all my off roading equipment, clean the interior thoroughly and keep everything back. The quality of the wash is much better than the wash in the fuel station. Hi Way Auto Service https://maps.app.goo.gl/VoD2bZGuvCz2US5y8 The Google pin is correct but the directions is wrong. You need to take the exit from szr not from discovery gardens/furjan. Call them for directions
