What an amazing weekend we had in Liwa !! First of all I want to thank my wonderful husband @Frederic to stay home with the kiddos and giving me the opportunity to lead my first Liwa crossing. On the way to Liwa I had some difficulties with my alternator and I really feared that I wouldn't be able to lead but with the help of @Srikumar, @Gaurav Soni and 2 wonderful mecanics in Liwa town who were able to temporarily fix it, I made it to the meeting point ! My whole fewbie convoy did really great and we were able to make it to waypoint 18 on time and without too much struggles. Also the second day went quite smoothly with only a few refusals, one winch recovery and a pop out fix. I want to thank everyone who joined and also congratulate you for successfully completing the Liwa crossing ! See you next time

Oh Liwa!! Congratulations team FB+ for the Liwa Crossing accomplishment. We had a relatively short convoy as there were few dropouts and @Mus_hus78had to exit very early due to 4WD issues. Couldn't ask for more. Every thing was perfect, the convoy, terrain, camping. There were lots of climbs, huge bowls and drops that were almost 150+m @Gertjan was the prefect second lead. I felt very comfortable driving in front of you. Always kept good distance and your awareness was fantastic. And thanks to all the pictures and videos. @Jona and @Brett Eicher were the only FB+ in the convoy. But you guys allowed me to push to an IM level and handling it so well. @imranaasghar81 looking forward for the 360 clips. @Senthil Kumar & @Alexanderrr had no issues handling churned track. @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler & @Lawrence_Chehimithanks for your support. Thanks to others for supporting the supports. Looking forward for next Liwa drive. Drive Stats We covered almost 180kms in total. We drove very close to Saudi Border taking more of dunes and less Sabhka.

Absolute amazing drive @Vanessa8580 every dune I crossed got me closer to believing I was on Tatooine 😁 and you did a great job leading us into Liwa and out no matter what the scenario @Brette did an amazing job in second lead no matter the difficulty of the landscape @Srikumar and @Varun Mehndiratta who didn’t back down when it came to helping a hand We had a great support team that lended a hand around every corner we took. Especially the camp fire at the end of the day which reminded me of the times in beavers/the small time I had in Scouts.

Thank you thank you thank you everybody for being part of this great trip, special thanks for @Kailas for signing up for this challenging area , I consider it was a succesfull trip as everybody returned safe with cars in one piece. Also a good part was that there were no cellular connections so everybody got a little brake from their phones 😄 and enjoyed the nature closer. Thank you @Lawrence_Chehimi and the rest of the team for extra support, thank you @Gertjan for taking extra time to take pictures for all of us. Thanks all for RSVPing for the drive. We have a really strong convoy with some awesome machines and warm bunch of ppl. I don’t know why but usually I always end up having convoy full of Jeeps and FJs with some even bigger trucks on my drives, it’s good to see a beautiful elegant Lexus this time, thanks @Ali Abas for signing up 😀. Rabbit is considered to be luckiest of all 12 animals as per Chinese culture - so I am hoping we will be lucky enough to have a nice pleasant weather. I am planning to join with a naked Jeep, so no rain plz 🙏🙏 Also it symbolizes smart and elegant personality - so we are in for some elegant ridge riding and a drive where we all will be smart enough not to fight gravity 😀 Plan for the drive is simple - we will start with the first ray of sunlight. And try to explore ourselves on as many long range dunes as we can - riding over some nice sharp Faqa signature ridges and criss-crossing through some awesome dunes to end close to where we will be around 11am (hopefully). I am not planning to have a set route, who knows if weather and convoy pace permits, we may end up close to Solar Park or maybe even Little Sweihan area in Qudra with its awesome tightly packed huge Sweihan style bowls. And if not maybe in Faqa somewhere - there’s no limit of what we can explore at Faqa in any case 😀. It’s really tough to control a rabbit once it’s out of hole. Focus is on having fun and having a jam. Looking forward to see you all this weekend. The small convoy enabled us to drive at a steady / fast pace, with minimal refusals (where we had to shovel couple of times); but it was fun at the end of the day. @Gerrit Bus you drove amazing well mate for your first IM drive; keep up the good work and try to manage the lifetime of the Jeep as much as you can. Driving behind you gave me the opportunity to watch you jump from the dunes; pls be careful mate. Thanks for sharing the vids mate - have you tried to stick the cam on the side of the car so that you can capture your jumps? Maybe for next time! @Daniel Rodas long time that we did not drive together; as the SL, you took us on the correct path when Doc was having refusals. @M.Seidam Super Technical? Yes it was a 'Super Technical Drive', which required full focus from all drivers. the dunes were not tall or scary, but the tracks were tricky. I look forward to our next drives together. Liwa is breat taking, especially when the car goed over the dune edge and the wide expanse opens before. @Kailas managed to always find a great bowl to play around in. The dust, smiles, waves says it all. I managed to capture some of the moments, but for sure not all. What is your experience? my first try:) without lens guards yet. @Looper gave me a feedback to use a shorter stick. Thank you for it, definitely i use it next time.

@Imteeazgreat news buddy. Most important is the lens cover. Chances of scratches are relatively high due to curve nature of the lens. Suction cup is very important as it needs to hold the stick and camera weight. Watsapp me 0509058162 I can send you the link for suction cup and lens cover. Expensive but worth to keep your camera and stick falling off and getting damaged.

@Looper @Waqas Parvez @Vaibhav @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler thank you guys for all your insights. well - my kids and wifey surprised me with an X3 (Insta360) and not the car on my birthday. now i need to start looking for the accessories to get it ready for my next drive. i have noticed that the suction mounts (ones with 3 suction mounts) are most probably best suited for the off-roading; i am still deciding whether to have it mounted on the side (as all of you guys do) or on the sunroof (yes - i have a sunroof). which product do you recommend for the mounts? @Looper i will go through your above list in Insta360 website and try to buy these. anything i need to know gents before i starting digging through my wallet? thanks
