  5. Thank you for joining the drive today. Despite the fog, everyone was at the meeting point more or less on time. Except @Abdul Basit Khan (see above), sorry for that, always disappointing when something happens just before the drive, but as you said, better have this issue on the road than in the desert. Hope to see you soon in another drive. The drive was smooth and fluid, thanks to the excellent level of the drivers. We had our fill of high climbs, large bowls, elevated ridges in the first portion. The second portion offered large dunes, with a lot of space, perfect to push a bit and let these engines roar. These parts required not only a powerful car, but also a precise driving and and accurate selection of line. All of you managed very well. After a small break under the shade, (yes, nice trees in the desert), the last portion was more relaxed, still very enjoyable through virgin dunes and soft sand, a bit technical, finishing on the sabkha, and reaching the exit track. No shovel, no rope, barely a few refusals, well done all of you ! @Krishna R thank you for the 2nd lead, always watching and rerouting when needed. @Zed, nice to see you after a long time, than you for the support from the middle. @Gurcharan Mehta, nice opportunity to test that new car in desert condition, @Pascal, excellent driving as usual, @KAMALIO, thanks for joining after that Tropic drive, @Amr Aydin, very reliable sweep as usual, thank you. Always good to have both of you in the drive (Sophie, waiting for the pics ;)). Enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you soon. Pls post your pics and/or feedback.

  8. My first intermediate drive. Thank you @Varun Mehndirattafor making this drive tremendous and remarkable. Challenges…. Full of challenges. First challenge was reaching the meeting point by overcoming the heavy fog. Then meet up the fast pace and the beautiful terrain of the sweihan. Drove with a beautiful, short and skilled convoy. Thank you @Ashutosh Garg, @Anoop Nair, @Imran Kashif, @Tom Bfor your support. It was my pleasure drive with you all.

  19. Thanks @Varun Mehndirattafor another fantastic drive. I wanna share with you all @Carnity my experience of today overheating, the reason behind the overheating of my car is the reserve coolant tank suction pipe was drop inside reserve coolant tank that's why the radiator starts the coolant reverse instead of suction (because the suction pipe was detached from reserve tank) and so I reattached the pipe and for the safe side I replace my car's radiator cap also. Now my car is ready for another adventure 😀 ALHAMDULILLAH Thanks @Varun Mehndiratta for the guidance and thanks @Ashutosh Garg @Joseph Raju @Anoop Nair and great sweep support from @Tom B.

  26. I have heard some crazy stories about Jeepers. As Gaurav mentioned, they do look nice for onroad or mall crawling. I have seen cars from Offroad Zone being better customised for offroad. I have visited both shops and was more convinced by Offroad Zone. Rubicon seems to be the best option if you are not planning to spend more money on the upgrades.

  28. Hi @Gautam Banka welcome to Carnity and I see you are next on the waitlist. Please share your car and previous off-road experience (if any). @Martin M as you are also on the waitlist but yours is showing WL2, so you will get second priority as this will be your second drive for this week. Whereas Gautam's waitlist shows as WL1, which means he is waiting for the first drive for this week. Based on WL1 Gautam will get the priority, whenever we have a first dropout.

  32. Great, thank you for it! Its very useful for me. I will drive this Friday and Saturday with my friends. My car has 700km:) including skid plate, kill switch..

  33. I would strongly advise you to 1. Run in/Break in the new car ( at least 500km+) more info on the forums https://www.fjcruiserforums.com/threads/engine-break-in-for-the-fjc-v6.100127/. Many advises there from experienced members driving a FJ 2. Acquaint yourself with the gearing (after point 1) , how to engage 4H and 4L and ride it. Each car responds differently , and even with experienced driver like you or anyone - a new car needs some time to get used to. So take it easy 3. Once you are done with 1 and 2, take it for a spin on sands - preferably during day light as visibility is better. I hope you get my advise sportively and not to discourage you to join. You are always a great driver and a friend to ride with .
