  1. Thanks @Jerome for a fantastic drive full of learning opportunities. The area speaks by itself, one of my favorites. It’s a pity that it’s so far away from my place and requires an extra effort to get there on time (woke up at 4am 😅). It was my first IM drive and I enjoyed from start to end, including the tricky technical area in the middle. Thanks to @Jaro Tuzinsky for the second lead and @Zed @Fabien Monleauand @Chris Wing for the support. @Bjoern hope you have fixed your fuel gauge by now. @Krishna R and @Imran Kashif was nice to see you again. Enjoy life guys! If plan A doesn’t work, go for B👏🏻👏🏻 Impressive dunes… Rest of the pictures in the gallery.

  2. Dear friends Waqar Sarwar @Waqar Sarwar Sunil Mathew @Sunil Mathew Glenn W @Glenn W Benjamin @Benjamin MohamedSherif @MohamedSherif Michael Chattle @Michael Chattle PETELCZYC PAJERO - luke @PETELCZYC PAJERO - luke Dinesh Kumar A @Dinesh Kumar A Ignacio Quindós @Ignacio Quindós Zulfikhar Naiyar @Zulfikhar Naiyar Hello and welcome again to another quest of the night drives my favourite in the the summer. Our plan is to meet at second December cafeteria https://goo.gl/maps/4fdgoxnzcVTKjAGz7 after which we will 🔁 from behind pink rock along with Nazwa and the the 🐊 rock and completing the first “ black loop “ back to pink rock ascending it as usual . Taking the pace faster now heading more south and south west to conquer the larger dunes in roll coster fashion with in back and forth for the second loop and so on … off course variations to this in either direction may occur depending on the local terrain , convoy response and stoppage time . The third black loop 🔁 at climax which is more challenging is around big red it self .. this one let it come naturally unplanned 😅. almost 26 hours left from the event . Please check on your car once more and your gear as well. Check all your fluids lubes and your recovery points that are in good condition . one more thing please if you intend to bring passengers make sure that they are accustomed to such drives as the roll coster and the lights may induce easily motion sickness . Tomorrow afternoon will announce the convoy order . enjoy

  7. @Stumpy Paj MHO - As we offroad regularly, getting a new steering rack doesn't make sense and I presume you wont get warranty even for new steering rack. The best option is to get them rebuilt at a professional lathe and repeat that every 40 drives. I get mine done in sharjah industrial area but you might find some good ones in Dubai as well. The sharjah guys charged around 600 aed. Dubai might be around 200 extra. You can rebuild the old one 4- 5 times with the cost of buying a new one, which might still rattle after 40 drives. I don't know the exact shop so you might have to ask around. You can check with @Gaurav SoniBhai's garage as they are experts in Pajeros. Also, you would not be able to replace it in the car park, and we need to do alignment as well. Better to get it done at a garage.

  9. @munkybizness@Rajesh NG@Ahmed Wagdy@DanielN@Richard Franks@Hisham Masaad@Frans M @Tom V@Marketa Dobesova@Pacific@Andrei S@Looper Another great morning out with a fantastic convoy of passionate offroaders ! I am glad to be able to get people to join in these drives ! They relax me more than any desert drive does and allows us to traverse different sets of terrains and keep it doable in this hot weather. We started from Al Daid Fort, which was our ancient supply route which we wanted to emulate and traced a route to Dibba Al Hisn with various types of terrain. As i wanted to start the drive at 25psi this was initially very doable but once we reached the soft sandy areas where we could not use available farm tracks, it proved to be a bit too high, so we brought it down to 20psi or 15psi and continued the drive. This drive took us through various tiny villages as well, where not a lot of life was seen. I can only think the villagers were on the couch watching Netflix as that's about the only sane thing to do around noontime in this weather It was a great feeling to finally reach the beach and get a shot with my Carnity family ! You guys and gals made it so much fun ! Great support from @munkybizness @Looperand @Pacific to guide us safely through the streets and deserts. Thanks guys really appreciated ! A short relive video can be found below: https://www.relive.cc/view/v8qkpkVV3Kv See you all soon in the sands / streets / deserts again !

  10. I like your calm & composed handling of the senior LC 76 👍🏻, treating it as a precious gem being navigated through a fun journey to reach the rewarding exit 🏆 . I'm still at the euphoria phase after getting my LC 100 back, especially with the Unichip and open cone air filter removed, so at times I push too much on the throttle worrying I don't have enough speed when in fact i have enough 😂 Great driving together, until next time, fellow LandCruiser 🫡

  11. Second time in a row, driving in Sweihan… With @Ale Vallecchifor an afternoon far away from work and for this morning with @JeromeFJ… Always amazing to drive through these high and virgin dunes, feeling confident, following great Leaders as @Ale Vallecchiand @JeromeFJ… As written by @JeromeFJ, we drove this morning through a mixed terrain, long and high dunes then short, high and technical dunes with soft sand… Always obliged to manually shift gears from 4H to 4L, I thank @Chris Wingfor his patience, behind me, while shifting my gears… After 6 months carrying my jerrycan full of petrol for nothing, I was pleased to fuel @Bjoernand to feel useful, during the break at the pond. At the end, seeing @Zedflying and not feeling taking off at my turn, I took a little bit on my left and I got stacked on the crest. Thanks again to @Chris Wingfor his quick tug 😉 Even if departure was very early from Dubai to join Sweihan, I took a real pleasure to drive with all of you… I wish you a nice week-end

  12. Dear Desert Drivers, Thank you for joining the drive this morning. It was a true desert experience, in this mixed terrain. Nice flow in the big dunes to start, as a warm up, and then, passing the sabkha, this impressive set of high dunes. Climbing the face and going down was relatively easy for the group of experienced IM drivers, even if the soft sand required full concentration to keep the cars straight in the descend, but the real challenge was still to come, when we entered the dunes themselves. Climbing per sections, with a sand becoming more soft after each car, little space to maneuver. This is when skills were required, and not only power. Going down on the other side, we met @Imran Kashif, waiting for us close to Sweihan pond. After a small break by the pond, we had another set of these challenging tall dunes, before to continue in a more relaxed mode, cruising the white sands of the Fayah area. @Jaro Tuzinskythank you for the second lead, you were holding the convoy when required , until I found a proper route. @Krishna R, excellent driving and control all along the drive; I did not hear you on the radio, which is a good sign ! @Ignacio Quindós, excellent drive also for your first IM, well done @Bjoern you and your car had better days, but you went through the obstacles with calm and determination, without loosing your sense of humor @Imran Kashif, you missed the big dunes, but thank you for joining halfway @Zed, @Fabien Monleau, @Chris Wing always good to have experienced drivers in challenging situations. You have shown one more time that you can be autonomous at the back of the convoy, supporting others when needed, Thanks a lot! Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and see you next time !
