Please ensure your programable radio is on, fully charged and set to Channel 4 (446,081). For first timers, pls ensure you complete all of the mandatory readings and watch the video in the main drive post before arriving at the meeting point of the drive. A full pre drive briefing will be conducted on the sand before we start moving. Please ensure everything in the car is tied down and there are no moving objects, please ensure that you are using cargo straps and not bungy type restraints. Please check all car fluids (Oil, Coolant, Brake Fluid, etc), tow hooks are essential front and back, and ensure no hanging parts below the chassis. Please ensure you come with a full tank of fuel (as much as possible). Ensure you have all the necessary gear for this drive level especially your tire deflator, pressure gauge, compressor, safety flag and radio. (NO FLAG or RADIO = NO DRIVE) Please ensure your radios are programmed to all 9 Carnity channels in case we have to change channel mid drive, instructions how to do this are below. Hi Davie, I'm Lea, living in Dubai and will be joining with my husband this Saturday 😊 I'm driving a Mitsubishi Pajero year 2019 in brown color. I had last year in October a beginner class with Marshall Gaurav for some hours. But since then work was too busy so this is my first off road experience since that 😐 Confirmed for my vehicle on the tow hooks front and back and we will also come equipped with offroad flag and walkie talkie. A bit of timing information for Sunday evening. We have a perfect configuration with Sunset 6:31 pm Moonrise 5:54 pm - Moon Illumination 99.8% I know the weather forecast is not that good, but let's hope for a clear sky for the beginning of the evening ! If so we will be able to watch the moon rising over the horizon and remaining illuminated as the sun disappears and the sky becomes darker. All this happening during our Iftar !

Hi Davie, many thanks for the welcome - looking forward to joining in! I’m Chris, living in Abu Dhabi, I run a company during the week so looking for a little social outdoors adventure at the weekends! In order… Car: Jeep JK, Black, 2007 (manual/stick shift) - with various mods for offroad (lift and shocks, tyres, winch, lights, compressor, flag etc) Experience: I’ve been taking 1:1 lessons in the Sweihan area, covering: dune crossing straight up/down, self-recovery, convoy driving (following), side-sloping and sand reading. All daylight only so far, and very early days of sand reading/driving. I have lots to learn! Vehicle fit: I have two hooks/eyelets front and back, plus winch. I also have kinetic ropes, soft shackles, shovel, sand boards etc in the vehicle. Comms: I have a radio, programmed per Carnity guide, and flag. Briefing: Video watched and I’ll complete the next of kin/emergency info template before Saturday. Again, looking forward to joining in and keep my fingers crossed for the weather…

@Simon D While I was eager to participate in this drive, unfortunately, I won't be able to attend as I am currently unwell with the flu. I hope there will be another opportunity for me to sharpen my ridge riding skills in the future. Team, enjoy the drive!
