Well deserved @Emmanuel. You have questioned us on every step and made our off road club the best in town. Besides all your contributions in our community, please keep asking questions.

@desertdude thanks for sharing your story, kitten under the hood is not very pleasant. I heard a few stories of snakes in the engine bay, wondering if anyone here went through that experience.

Reminds me of Rav4 near Big Red.
I agree with @Gaurav bhai. Recovery should not start at 120 KPH. Should make a path and start slowly and gradually increase the strength of the pull. Thank God nobody got injured in this.

That's true @DiamondDallas, that's why I got the car fully washed again. Thanks for adding to this thread.

I got all my car audio system done behind Yasmeen Building in Sharjah opposite the Sharjah Cricket stadium. There are many audio shops there. I am sure one of them will be able to diagnose and point you in the right direction.

We should all move with tines. Things change over time, we just have to accept them and move on. Not all changes are bad.

Hi @razeen hasan welcome to Carnity, your one stop shop for all your car needs. Here you can discuss and question anything to do with cars while making new friends. I noticed that you have already joined our off road club, very warm welcome and thank you for introducing yourself.
We do not run a class room setup but help you grow within a structured environment where you can learn and apply everything about off roading. We have a newbie trip this Friday, but since you are still waiting for your vehicle keep looking for a Newbie drive once you have you Patrol in hand. Wouldn't recommend bring it brand new to the desert. Complete your first 1000 kms as instructed and get the first service done.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Hi @Danny. Well spotted. I will go with option 2. I sold one of my car to one of the dealers at 150k mileage for 38k. A month later I saw it for sale with 79k mileage at 55k.

My first car in the UAE was a Honda Civic DX 1991 model, fully manual. Had it for 4 years with occasional clutch having to be replaced.

@Srikumar had a few issues with CVT with his Nissan Sentra. Seems like a Nissan CVT thing.

Thank you @Ren13, @Srikumar, @Frederic, @Javier M, @Mujtaba & @Gaurav for your observations. Everybody is right and deserves a round of applause. The main idea still remains to learn from others mistakes so that we do not repeat the same. Some recoveries require a little more time to think and discuss several ideas on how to proceed with the recovery. The decision should be unanimous and agreed by all after listening carefully to the details. Help and be a part as required by the senior members. Wishing everyone safe off roading.
