  1. Hello  @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil @Adhir Saxena @Charbel @Sunil Mathew @Fabien Monleau @Vanessa8580 @Chinthaka Ruwan @TT_Dubai @darren thompson @Paul Zeitoun @Russ

    Thank you for joining the drive and making it fun. It was a great privilege to have Marshal support of @Vanessa8580. Thank you @Russ for your assistance in recovery and for being an amazing sweep,  @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil for being my dedicated second lead and as always you did a great job.

    This morning, we were the only convoy around the area except of the convoy of camel that we crossed. Due to the strong wind in the last week, the terrain was more challenging this time with lots of soft sand and pockets all around. At the beginning, We got 2 stuck from myself and Vanessa which were recovered within minutes from which we always get to learn. We also encountered some refusals which required re-attempts to gain more momentum and different angle of climb. We got extensive practice on criss crossing and ridge riding along the way.

    Well done everybody, all of you drove really well and coped with different challenges. I was surprised with the trucks at the back especially managing through the technical areas with tight dunes without any issue. We drove for nearly 3 hours and we stopped for almost 30 minutes for recovery and break

    Looking forward to see you in another drive soon.

  5. Hello @Lakshmi Narasimhan @Chris Wing  @Zed @Werno @Matt.T @marks

    I hope you recovered from the Fewbie Plus drive we did on Friday Morning. I really appreciated that everybody arrived and deflated earlier than meeting time, I already could see the enthusiasm. Normally from Lisaili, we drive few KMs on the pylon track prior entering the dunes in order to avoid the camel track. The fact that it was a Fewbie Plus drive and we had a short convoy, I decided to enter the desert much quicker from a different entry point avoiding the pylon track totally. However, the area was quite technical and in addition due to the strong wind, there soft sand all around making it more challenging when actually I got stuck twice😉. Thanks to the help of all you in shovelling and support from @marks and @Lakshmi Narasimhan, my stuck were recovered successfully.

    Throughout the drive, the terrain took me by surprise and it was quite unpredictable because the surfaces got changed with lots of tight pockets because of the strong wind experienced the night before. Given the challenges we encountered very early in the morning, I was really impressed by all of you how you coped with the hurdles thrown to you. After which, we found the long range dunes of Lisali where we made most of it by practising criss-crossing and ridge-riding. Prior heading towards Hathmah - Qudra, we took a small break to re-energise our self for the second half of the drive. The second half of the drive was at a faster pace than usual because the area was pretty quiet for a Friday morning but still I had to be focus and cautious of new pockets being formed.

    I was glad to see the proactiveness and willingness of Matt T to learn and practise rope recovery when Lakshmi got crested. After a quick inspection of the stuck and a brief, Matt executed the recovery perfectly with a proper coordination with Lakshmi. Well done @Matt.T.

    Last but not least, I would like to thank all of you for joining and making the drive enjoyable. Big Thanks to @marks for the support and assistance in managing the drive and also@Lakshmi Narasimhan for being flawless second lead as usual.

    Looking forward to see you in future drive, enjoy the coming long week-end and holiday. Eid Mubarak in advance.

    @Lakshmi Narasimhan @Paolo Pellegrini @Zixuan Huang - Charlie @Fabien Monleau @darren thompson @Hisham Masaad @Arshad Roojee @Chinthaka Ruwan @Chris Wing @JeromeFJ @Ranjan Das

    Hello Everybody,

    I hope you got some rest after waking up early and joining the drive. Thank you @darren thompson, @Lakshmi Narasimhan, @Ranjan Das, @Hisham Masaad, @JeromeFJ for your comments and nice pictures. I am glad to know that you guys enjoyed the drive.

    This morning i was very surprised to find the whole area quiet, there was no traffic at all. This specific area is normally so busy during the weekend and very churned up. Luckily, there was some wind that healed the desert and we found nice virgin dunes and play areas as well. As usual, i like to start the drive easy so that we can wake up properly and begin warming up for the rest of the drive; at the same time it was pretty bushy terrain around Tawi Nazwa.

    Everyone drove really well, with barely few minor refusals and a stuck. The stuck was recovered swiftly with little bit of shoveling, there was no need for rope recovery. We got the chance to enjoy play areas with no tracks and we made some attempts because there was no one except us around. Second half of the drive, we headed towards Big Red, where we made most of the bowls and climbs which is always my favourite part.

    However, it was so sad and heartbreaking to see so much trash around pink rock🙁

    Thank you so much @Hisham Masaad for the excellent support, @Ranjan Das for being an amazing sweep with your new ride 😍  and @Lakshmi Narasimhan as always flawless second lead.

    Looking forward to see you all soon in the sand for some other drive. Take care and stay safe.
