  1. @M.Seidam what a fantastic INT drive! I throughly enjoyed each and every bend and corner. With a special mention to the ridge riding (especially thanks for the extras at the end) great leading as usual Doc and it’s always great to be in second lead following your lines every step of the way.

@Gary F did well for first int drive despite the longer wheelbase of the gladiator

@Mark B I’m sorry you had to miss out on this one mate hopefully next week

@Jaro Tuzinsky fantastic sweeping in the back. Was really cool seeing both FJ’s climb the rougher made terrain thanks to the jeeps in our pack (looking at the gladiator on this one 😂

@Krishna R always great to see you mate on these drives. The mighty Xterra prevails!

@Sunil Mathew and @Amir Amiri great driving guys as always!

  2. Fantastic drive (smooth operator) @Davie Chase I really like this area. It’s close to home and surprisingly has some of the best range of different offroad techniques and options with the heat increasing the number of soft patches. Your leading skills are top notch mate hope to see you soon.

@Islam Soliman thank you for all the advice and great support as usual. Always keeping a cool head and giving me a hand when I need it during decision making. Thank you @Davie Chase and @Islam Soliman for taking this drive to allow me to learn and improve on some new skills I really appreciate it (I’m definitely after that popout champion title)

@Haneef Thayyil you did well today mate. After each refusal I saw you improved and became more confident each time well done.

@Cristian you have very good control over your jeep keep up with the good work mate really enjoyed watching your driving style :)

    @Gary F great second lead

So my Carnity friends...I have finally got a 2023 Bronco Wildtrak. Thanks @Gaurav@Looper@Rizwanm2 @Gautam Bank @Hisham Masaad @Frederic @Alexanderrr @Stumpy Flowers @Bravoecho @Krishna R @Pavel Pashkovskiy @Benjamin and all others those who had shared their wisdom and tips on the card ...ranging from Pajero, Prado, Patrol,  Safari. Rubicon and Bronco. Had something to learn from all your experiences / suggestions. Also explored some of the other chats on the car forums. Lots of insights there!

Last time i owned a 4WD in Dubai was 22 year back was when i had a 1997 Mitsubishi Pajero (Classic Green).  Used to do some desert drives then but after that it has been only family sedans / other  cross overs since 2001 ...once i relocated to Singapore. But it is great to be back here in Dubai after 2 decades. The off road landscape and vehicles  have changed a lot. And...some really great  offroad communities are here now.

Last couple of months  have been very exciting as i was looking for my off road car with all the advices, research and test drives . The new car prices (and availability) and used car prices (and the evaluations / conditions) have also been humbling revelations. Was also lucky to get some management contracts at Ford that facilitated the final Bronco purchase and delivery. But had nearly finalized and bought 4 other vehicles!

Have  been the desert in the heat a couple of time now...and driven a (reluctant and worried!) friend's Nissan Patrol V8. Great experience. And..no nothing happened to his V8 Y62 ..though he was biting his nails (more worried about his car than me!!).

Ultimately ..as per my learnings here in the Carnity Forum...it is the driver, temperament, skills (and willingness to continuously learn more from all) and the community (for support and encouragements ) and not entirely about vehicles and modifications.

Looking forward to seeing some of you soon!

My Wrangler is white and one day I put the black stars on the front doors. At the first renewal, RTA said my Jeep was no longer white, so test failed.

However, the process to change the colour was extremely simple for me. From the Dubai Police app, you access the service, load the pictures of the car, and in a few minutes voila, colour changed. And RTA approved. I didn't have to go anywhere.

Seems to be much easier when your only adding one colour for sure! But nice design choice!

Thank you @Benjamin for the clear and fantastic info.

once the RTA tasjeel personel asked about the black star ( sticker ) on both sides of my Xterra and i told him that its mentioned in the Mulkia color black and white and there is no spesification for stickers as when i bought the car it was registered as such and Transfer registration was done as such from the first place and he accepted. and yes if the stripes fade away or in my case i had to re place it due to a car body work last year.

@M.Seidam thanks! Yeah I had some worries too with the black on my car, I heard nightmare stories of jeeps failing without stickers because of the black rooftops that come OEM from the factory as the black isn’t stated on the Mulkia. Hopefully stickers will stay in good condition for a good amount of time

Very well written @Benjamin.. one word of advise is to secure CID approval prior to starting any color change as in many cases they will request the car to be brought for inspection and if the color is changed already from what is recorded in Mulkia it can complicate things.. bare in mind that the main purpose of the CID preapproval is to ensure the owner is not changing the color to hide something (hit and run or other major offense) so if they are suspicious for any reason and color is already changes it can be a big problem

Totally agree @Islam Soliman I tried securing CID approval before putting stickers first visited an RTA HQ located beside the airport, who then pointed me to a nearby police station HQ for CID approval, they ended up being closed, this leading to the police station in Warsan 2 though it might be a good idea to get a signature from the officer there but they told me the approval will come through with the Dubai police app, even when I voiced the concerns of causing any confusion with my current condition and colour status of my car at the time. Been chasing it up for around a month. Talk about time consuming 😂
