akbar
gear downshift n lo gear has some problem. Lo gear usually has a kick when you start, if its a similar jerk that you get on signal stop then get the Gear oil change it could be gear oil is dying and not operating with smooth shifts. vandit
I use to have the same problem on my FOrd Escape 2009 an dlater found out that there was a gear oil leak and the oil use to be too low which inturn causes the car to Jerk at stops or mostly incline... it freaked me out after that cos if the Gear box gets damaged its gonna be too expensive ... rajjeve
I am also having the same problem. The gear shifting happens with jerk when the car accelrates initially after starting or slowing it down after high speed. The O/D light flashes continiously. Looks like transmissions issue is a very common problem with Ford SUV's.Internet is full of such issues from Ford owners. Have given the car for service and check up today. Keeping my fingers crossed.
