Barry
Does anyone have any experience of grass/mud/snow and how do you find it compared to driving on sand? I had a 3.0 TD SWB land cruiser and it was awesome on grass, mud and snow. I used it for towing a car transporter trailer because of the awesome turning circle and amazing torque. Also tried LR Discovery and Mitsubishi L200 and nothing could touch the land cruiser.
nutbolt
Barry what Gaurav is mentioning is the UAE version of same SWB Land Cruiser you had. It comes in 4.5 liter same as LC100 engine but in SWB - 2 doors called as LC70 / 76. I had that for few months and it is a beast but without any creature comfort at all. In stock state you can climb on the tallest sand dune, but when on road those leaf springs is not nice and comfy and interior sucks big time. I heard from my common friend that newer one coming with some basic features and good interior looks, but havent seen one myself yet.
William Manning
@brandan I think you have not clearly read my answer. As I have mentioned that I am suggesting this car, because I have personally experienced this vehicle.

You are still imagining. And unfortunately rav will never be on that list. To even qualify to be on the list you need to be a proper 4x4, with a low ratio transfer case. 1
Barry
I think every 4x4 in UAE has been mentioned so far apart from the Niva 😂 So which is the best 4x4 for the desert?
