cyborg
Such an amazing replica of real car model in real car world I have never seen before. Toy cars, RC cars copy design showing the enthusiasm is totally acceptable, but this below F$%$^$ copycat of Range Rover Evoque is totally bizarre. I heard Jaguar Land Rover is preparing to file a lawsuit against this chinese car manufacturer to make and call replica: LandWind X7. What happen to people creativity now? Why can't they invest in designing something new?
nutbolt
This is totally insane. Hope LR win the game and teaches lesson for all others to be creative than copying someone original work at this mass scale.
Barry
The Chinese have no shame.
treks
What a pity that a once great culture has sunk so low. The Chinese were once the world's greatest astronomers, philosophers, and physicians, but these days it seems to be all about the money.
Barry
One thing I will give them credit for though, you can still buy a brand new Mk 2 Escort, 35 years after Ford stopped building it. Expensive though at 7,000 GBP and you still have to find a donor VIN and logbook to put it on the road or rally it but compared to the price of a genuine Escort, it's cheap.
gautam
One of the best cars Ford ever made- I just wonder how well the Chinese copy measures up against the real thing.
Barry
Probably my most favourite car of all time. Good memories of my dad racing them when I was a child, one very special one in particular with a Lotus Twincam engine from a Cortina running twin 50 Webers. A guy in my hometown bought 50 of the Chinese ones and I've only heard good reports so far. Haven't seen one up close yet but I'm going back for a week in October so hopefully get a good look at one. adil
I heard Chinese also make look like defender, is it true? As some japanese import are flawlessly clean and some says that they are made in china with japanese donor records as a japanese market export. These chinese are amazing and scary at the same time. Gaurav
Finally, JLR wins the case against copycat https://www.autonews.com/automakers-suppliers/jlr-wins-case-against-chinas-jiangling-motors-over-copycat-evoque 1 Let's root for each other & watch each other grow. desertdude
The Chinese can be very diplomatically vengeful, expect JLR sales to drop in China. Or for some made up reason JLR being blocked from selling cars in China. Canada recently arrested one of their major Phone Company CEOs at USA's direction and now China is going all out against Canada. Its already arrested a few Canadians in China, Stopped buying their canola etc etc.
