Retrieving your vehicle history in UAE

Whenever buying a second-hand vehicle, it is essential to do some research on the history of that particular vehicle to see if it was involved in accidents in the past. There are a few options:

1. International - VIN Report 

VIN Check and get Vehicle History Report | Free VIN Search (faxvin.com)

There are several available websites for this. You will be able to see if the vehicle has been involved in accidents. This is definitely useful if the vehicle has been imported from another country like US.

 

2. UAE - Ministry of Interior Accidents Inquiry

Ministry of Interior MOI - Accidents Inquiry

This portal service shows the accident history stored in the Federal UAE database. For each accident it will show you photos and information about the severity.

 

3. UAE-Dubai RTA Vehicle Status Report

RTA - Services

Will provide you a detailed report with the odometer reading, previous inspection history, or accidents. 

 

Using these services will give you a good background on the second-hand vehicle you are about to buy, and if the car has been involved in serious accidents.

My old Santa Fe had a parking lot accident where it was hit by a delivery van while it was parked - literally a fender bender. Checked but did not find any report on the MOI. Perhaps it only reports larger accidents or accidents other than in Dubai.

Thanks @Looper from what I’ve noticed the MOI website works the best to retrieve cars registered in Abu Dhabi. Perhaps the federal database and Dubai database are not (yet) aligned.

MOI is mainly for AD and northern Emirates who follow the federal system. This is a free service.

Dubai system is separate. I believe this is a paid service.

Dubai has different systems for immigration i.e. GDFRA vs ICA. This is the same here as well I suppose.

checked mine and couldn't find any records either. I have had or rather the Mrs. had a minor one as well when she scratched the back door in a parking lot. Could be for major ones only i guess.
