Simple, switch to hard when off-road and switch back to soft when driving on the road. I have heard some people say it's just a gimmick and wont make a lot of difference. I have adjustable shocks and they do make a difference.

I don't know @shadow79 who is teaching you these basics or you are coming up with these crazy stories....! @DiamondDallas harder the shocks better they are for off-road but very uncomfortable for road use. So offroad shocks is a combination of little more harder than OEM one but not too rally style so that it will kill your back on tarmac. I had Aragosta rally bred suspension in my Patrol, I could literally jump dunes and do all sort of stunts but on tarmac for over 1 hour drive, my back use to start aching. Best shocks for off-road will be hard and with long travel suspension so that bumps and rebounds are not going to take big tolll on chasis and your back.

Read the fine print. Their are so many hidden clauses. Their are some courses in which they mentioned until you get license. But this comes with condition until 1st road test. Thereafter you need to pay for the RTA test plus 8 mandatory classes which will cost you additional 750 each time someone fail the test.

Totally agree, but sadly 90% offroad suspension are non-adjustable unless you dash good amount of money. And in those 10% expensive adjustable ones plenty are just gimmick and only few makes a difference. Aragosta I had, they have had had 18 settings on each shock, but at softest setting on road too my back use to cry. In my Pajero I have stock suspension stiffness controller with electronic button and it does make a big difference.

I have worked with IM Galadari Group for more than 4 years. I got my license thru them. If you think student is weak and may be he need more classes, Just go with One time All inclusive package. Im not sure about the rates but Galadari had an offer(Ramadan Offer - Check whether it is still available) of Around 11000 dirhams all inclusive until you get the license(Check for T&C before payment).You will find similar packages with others too. Ensure to verify all the doubts and read all fine prints before you make any decision. All training school are same. It totally depends on the students capability. When i checked cost online i found Galadari was the cheapest among all(You may reconfirm/recheck). Disclaimer: Im an ex employee of Galadari and have no relations or tie ups with them of any sort. Opinion above are based on my personal evaluation and research.

I need to send one of my guys to get his driving licence so I’m trying to choose a school. Company will be paying but I still want to get value for money. When I read the google reviews of the schools I think it would be easier just to let him drive around without a licence and pay the fines when he gets caught. (JK LOL) Obviously a lot of people fail because they just can’t drive and want to blame everyone but themselves so they leave bad reviews. And people like to complain by nature and leave bad reviews when they’re unhappy, people rarely leave good reviews when they’re happy. So im looking for some real world reviews of driving schools. Where did you do your licence? How many times did you do it? Do you feel anyone failed you unfairly?

if you have stiff suspension in desert conditions its usually a pain to drive through SOUPS AKA cross tracks and tracks which someone has already passed through as your cars response will be bumpy and will loose traction and momentum which is important part in this sports but with enough experience you can always find a way in the softer setting the kit should consist of more parts which should support the over lengthening of the shocks in turn giving you a much smoother ride like in the old caprice you could see the body of the car stay put at one place but those tires getting in and out of the body while you crazily cruise through those humps

My wife made a small accident. The issue was she and the other car didint notice. It was a small touch. After that she found out car was damaged. We went to police and explain what happened. They gave us a paper and they told us to come after 2 days. I went after 2 days and collect the police report. Which cost 120aed. I didint got any fine.

in ajman and sharjah if faulty party runs then you have to pay accident drawing fee 500 usually what we do is get if fixed and get on with life its cheaper and your case being a rental its better to just show it to rental shop they will rip your meat from your bones and then give you another car for the remainder of the days you have lease left...never think that you can quietly fix their car and return it and they will not know about it as most of the times they keep your passport so in the end you will be stuck and bleed more money into it...

In your hit and run case you need to go to the nearest police station where this incident happen with your car and share the full story with as much as proof you or your wife has. If they get convinced then you will get red paper for 400 dhs fine and then rent a car procedure starts with whatever agreement you have with them. If they dont get convince they will ask you to come back after few days until they can check the authenticity of your story with some camera in the vicinity etc.

Ok somebody whacked into the rental sunny real good and women being women, the Mrs drove off not seeing it till the next day. Car is pretty dinged up rear tail light broken, busted bumper corner, slight ding on boot and even the quarter panel has ding in it. Either the sunny is made of paper or some truck bashed into the rear. This happened in bussiness bay dirt parking. Well ( thankfully ) its been almost two decades since I've had to get a police report. So whats the deal nowadays. Still do it the good old fashioned way of calling 999 or now as I was reading recently you have to report all minor incidents through the dubai police app or , they come have a look and give you report you get charged a 100dhs? And does anything change since its technically a hit and run. And since it being a rental regardless of whose fault it was or not we have to dish out 750 for a claim so question is do I have to pay something to get the report done or since its going to be done through an app ( I'm guessing ) it doesn't cost anything, not holding my breath on that one though.

if his visa was from ajman here its bit cheaper then all inclusive 7.5k other schools have other rates...but prior experience is must to glide through the tests..

In the old days, people used to buy albums based on what they hear on terrestrial radio. Now in the days of internet radio, the whole world of music is opened up. I am happy I can click on a random internet radio station and hear a new band. If they are good I’ll buy the album. If they are shit, why should I support them? i have no problem paying for good music but I’m not going to pay to listen to shitty metalcore bands screaming indistinguishable lyrics with guitars tuned so low that you can’t differentiate between notes. Hi While changing Engine Timing belt mechanic found my coolant has turned into sort of greenish brown color, Any guesses the reason for it ? should i be worried ? Note I have changed my radiator recently and topped it with Mitsubishi original coolant

Surprise to see very limited response from our regular offroaders: Pull angle was more than 45 degree of tolerance. Ideally it should be always straight or anything close to the straight with max deviation up to 45 degrees, that too with lot of caution, patience, observation and feedback from different angles. They could have used driver side tow hook of FJC and Pajero to counter the angles to some extent. They could have use the viking rope for elastic soft tug than one big jerk. No radio communication or coordination with guy supervising the tug or filming. No use of 3 beep system, FJC could have used long beep to stop the Pajero (if trained). Both car windows should be rolled down for catching at least those last second scream. FJC tires were not pointing in the direction of tug, causing instant resistance to flip. Over enthusiast Pajero driver, who probably have not enough experience in technical recoveries kept on pulling. Clear the sand wall from driver side tire front side. Clearly it was bogged down to topple like this instantly. People don't use enough shovel as they think pulling will sort everything out. Prep before the pull to clear sand from all resistance is very important and in such critical angles its life saving. Ideally winch is better (if available) in such tricky situation to get slow motion feedback and stop in time. Give such critical tug in several tranches to access the situation first with a feedback from anyone supervising. Once car is moving with slightly gentle tugs without lifting any side, then proceed with little stronger tugs. Recover from backside with half or quarter the rope if front is totally hit in sand.

For me new Defender looks just awesome, well done! But I am disappointed by its small wheels, clearance, etc. Even if engine and, hopefully, transmission is capable, I have some doubts on the overall performance. But it looks superb! Probably it will be sold very well to those people who do not really go off-road but just pretend that they go there. There are a lot of them! So, from business point of view, it is a right decision.

And because of this attitude artists don't make any actual money from sales and pennies from streaming. Nope. I never understood the whole paying to stream music thing. Just download your music and listen to it and save your data. If you’re into streaming, you can download apps like tunein for free. Why pay when you can get it free? I listen to a lot of obscure internet radio stations and it’s a good way to find new music. If I hear something I like I’ll download it. If I really like it I’ll buy the cd to support the artist.

Mountain Dew is yellowish green. Where are you buying your dew? 🤔 Its not a big issue, don’t worry so much about it. Buy a couple of bottles of coolant flush, it’s 15 dhs a bottle max and run it in the system for a day. Then flush it all out with water. Always flush from the bottom to the top, that way all the crap with float out the top. If you flush top to bottom, the water will find the easiest way out and only half the engine will get flushed so it’s 2 steps forward 2 steps back. In pajero you need to use a glycol based coolant, at least 50% glycol. Anything else and you will end up with the same brown coolant. But a proper flush is imperative.

If previously bleeding is not done by removing thermostat then saleem might be right, as engine jacket hold lot of coolant and the new and old coolant must have got mixed. If you have bleed it before, then double check if its brownish or whitish? Has any sticky feel? Pungent smell?

Still better to toss a thermostat and it's seal then feel sorry and waste the money on flush and coolant

Its from inside the Radiator Recently changed thermostat and Radiator , its only 3 months old

remove the thermostate then flush the system and then put a new thermostate and fill it again with toyota pink coolant bleed the system and have fun...

If coolant has turned greenish brownish inside the expansion bottle, then its fine. Clean the coolant bottle and refill. I am facing same in my ancient Pajero. If coolant inside the radiator turned brownish, then it's a concern. Please confirm.

IMO this is horrendous. I feel the reason why RR designs standout on the road is cos of its straight lines running parallel to the road. The moment those lines turn into a curve its just like any other car on the road. Thats the reason i detested the Evoque design. I still very much prefer the boxy style of defender. Its simply beautiful.

Digging it, pretty snazzy from the inside and out. Would have loved to have seen a V8 in it but 400hp in a 90 will and should make it fly.

My first thoughts: * Retro-style, boxy design, which i personally like, especially on the SWB model. * Trim levels that go from basic all the way to the top, which is a bit overkill for whoever decides to buy a Defender. * The 2.0l turbocharged with 300hp is a good start, but the 3 liter straight six turbocharged 400hp engine will be a beast. * Alu-body vs ladderframe: we've seen most 4x4's making that cross-over to save on weight and gain more performance. * Air suspension: Fantastic, and standard on the LWB (110). Reliability issues with this climate ?
