  1. @JeromeFJThe morning briefing brought back memories of my very first drive as a absolute newbie drive . It was a great to exchange knowledge with the drivers and ensure that they remained focused on the drive. It was a magnificent drive with a mix of technical and long-range dunes, loved the lines which you were taking, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to support the convoy it was a great learning experience It has been a pleasure to drive with you as well. Thank you for your support @Rob S @Mike.@Sunny84@Gregory Powell@Suresh K@takeshi sobue@Dinesh Kumar A@TT_Dubai@Gerrit Bus@Haitham KhattabAll drove beautifully, displaying their driving prowess and excellent control.

  2. The first part of the drive was tricky as we were moving towards the larger dunes. We had to exit @Sunny84 early because of his passenger got motion sickness (hope she is doing well). It was a lovely early morning start; we were practically waiting for the sun to rise. The light shone through the clouds and covered the sky the entire time we were driving. The second part of the drive was an interesting one; it began beautifully with high fast climbs and side slopes, and then, as Warren indicated, we faced every conceivable problem, including popouts, recoveries, and mechanical breakdown. Despite these difficulties, however, @Vanessa8580you remained unfazed, demonstrating your experience and guiding us throughout the drive. Supporting the convoy was yet another wonderful experience, and it provided valuable learning. @Sam K I hope your car is fixed quickly. I know it was not the easiest day for you when you first got caught in the bowl and then your brakes failed, but you handled the issue with positivity and a grin on your face. @topgear and @Warren Flay thank you for your support, rest of the convoy drove beautiful and it was enjoyable getting to know new individuals @Mike.with his white rhino @Brett Eicherthat jeep of yours is a little monster, @Ignacio Quindós@Pieter Potgieter@Imran Kashifpleasure meeting you as well.

  3. It has been a few weeks since my last drive and good to be in the sand again. I actually started my drive on 2WD and without switching off my abs, airbag and all the gizmos 😅. Deflation is king so thankfully I managed to disengaged all the driver’s aid and engage 4WD whilst crossing the first small dune. Thanks @Vanessa8580 for showing us a variety of terrains and challenges as mentioned by @Warren Flay 😆 @Waqas Parvez you indeed had a busy day today and thanks for all your efforts and offers for help when I had my refusals. @Sam K I hope you got your car issues resolved ahead of your travel. @Imran Kashif I enjoyed driving with you, you handled your FJ really well although it was only your first drive in the FJ. Enjoy the car. To the rest of the convoy, thanks for coming out. See you all next time. I will share more photos at the gallery.

  5. @Simon Dawood your Pajero vid conquering Iftar Bowl 👇🏻 @Mario Cornejo looks bumpy while going up, and also down when riding the ridge... i know @GauravSoni did say take a better line, but maybe your shocks are tuned for highway (comfort / soft damper) instead of max firmness 😅

  6. An IM drive that has everything I look for, short convey, competent drivers, fast pace, trackless desert with nice weather. and I could find the room for improvement which is very important to me. At initial part we stayed above 30km/hr average moving speed on the ridges only! and we completed the drive with 26.2km/hr average moving speed. Thank you @GauravSonifor the lead, and @Chinthaka Ruwan @Thomas Varghese @Looper for joining and support. See you soon back in sands!

  8. Hi everyone! Very pleased to join the drive yesterday! It was amazing to enjoy a breezy fresh start with windows down. @JeromeFJ you led the convoy like a seasoned pro. I appreciated the detailed and comprehensive briefing before we started and after each climb, bowl or track you always had encouraging comments and advice for all of us 😀 thank you! Great support from @Rob S always there with the shovel! Special thanks to @Waqas Parvez for great guidance when I slipped into a deep pocket on a climb. The Prado boys are a great team! The dunes during the early morning were like a postcard, clear and defined. Save for a few sand buggies we had the playground all to ourselves. Great driving by all and nice to meet everyone. Super to see so many great shots in the gallery! Drive safe and have a great week!

  15. @Warren Flay it was a pleasure driving behind you today. Thanks @Vanessa8580 for a comprehensive experience! Being my second fewbie drive, I am assuming there are not so many new things to be seen after today’s drive I guess @Waqas Parvez, hat’s off to you, you were a one-man army today! 💪🏻

  16. Thanks @Sunny84! Always a pleasure driving with you Pajero partner. Unfortunate to see you exit early today but I will see you on the sand real soon! Thanks for sharing the White Rhino colours. Waiting to see how and when you dub yours 💪🏻 Thanks @JeromeFJfor a great first fewbie experience. If I can summarize the drive in a few words I would say” High Performance mixed with Finesse”. It was an enjoyable and fluid flow of a drive. Thanks again for taking the time to share the tips and tricks as much as possible!

  18. Very interesting drive. I hope @GauravSoni's car after the bashing it got today will rise up to his master's command for the next drive tomorrow. Short convoys are always fun especially when you know each other and have driven so many times together before. @GauravSoni kept finding very interesting track of endless ridges to ride. Challenging too. In fact it sapped all my energy I could barely get up from bed and have to sign off from Gaurav Soni's drive tomorrow as I feel I will be a burden with so much fatigue. The weather was excellent and not much hot due to the cloud cover. But the challenges was too much and befitting an IM drive. Enjoyed throughout. In short @GauravSoni, the 2nd lead @Zixuan Huang - Charlie, @Chinthaka Ruwan, me & gautam @Looper had a very action packed Eid Al Adha. Thank you Gaurav Soni & everybody. See you all soon in the sands.

  22. Technically it shouldn't as I myself unchecked Monday from the restriction list at 6 PM today. Also, today's drive has been canceled and all attendees have been removed by @M.Seidam and I deleted that calendar permanently today at 11 AM.

  23. That is true . You reminded me of a drive in the winter from lisaili to Qudra I forgot to re switch the 4WD and I didn’t realise it till when we were on the track exiting 😅 .. helped in that the wet compacted sand and not much of criss cross .. etc . . Caution : at time this might be dangerous after certain height climb and driving in soft sand
