Once you complete these 3 sessions then you will be eligible to lead drives under supervision: Minimum two partial leads for any daytime Fewbie drives under Expert/Marshal/Crew supervision. 13. Hello all, I couldn't introduce myself last month when I joined, due to various factors. My name is Tharun Kumar V! I am originally from Bengaluru, India, but lived in several different countries and I am now based in Dubai, working with UD Trucks as Resident Eng. for MEENA. As a Resident Eng., my job is to help UD Truck's dealers and customer a reliable truck and of course to help them out whenever theyโ€™re in need of technical solution. Last June I moved to Dubai with my wife Ankitha and my daughter Shrestha. Ankitha was an interior designer and currently she is handling our naughty Shrestha who is just 16months old. Things keeps me calm are cars, bikes and trucks. Back in India Iโ€™m a member of Fiat 1100 Bangalore club. I do own a small fleet of cars and bikes starting from Fiat Select โ€“ 1959, Premier Padmini 1100 โ€“ 1992, Mercedes Benz W124 โ€“ 1992, Mahindra Scorpio โ€“ 2006, Toyota Qualis โ€“ 2001, Yezdi Road King โ€“ 1991, Bajaj Chetak โ€“ 1987 and Royal Enfield โ€“ 2010. I am a DIY person and would like to keep myself busy with my passions. Once I moved into Dubai, got my license in 21 days and picked a Mitsubishi Pajero sport from one of the marshals from another club, who is a friend of mine from India. How did I get to know Carnity???? This is an interesting topic for me. After a week of purchase of Mitsubishi Pajero sport, I had to go to meet the previous owner of the car in Sharjah to collect few parts. Surprisingly my car gear inhibitor failed, and I had to drive the car to a garage in Sharjah (this car was maintained in the same workshop by the previous owner). As I was waiting for the new inhibitor in the waiting lounge, I see a person and started to have a conversation about his Pajero and off roading. Apparently his Pajero had a starter motor failure, and he was waiting for a long time to secure the part. After a long discussion about off road and Carnity, I was so eager and I asked him, โ€œif it is ok can I join Sunday morning drive?โ€ and he happily asked me to join. So, my first drive as a passenger in Carnity was done on 7th August 2022. The person who introduced me to Carnity is @Gaurav Soni I was just waiting for my family to get adjusted to Dubai and then signed in to Carnity. Thanks a lot for the opportunity and with my one-month experience, I have started to discover many good things in Carnity. Carnity is not only a community, but it also feels like a family. Carnity not only teaches off-roading and its skill, but it also even improves our personal developments. Hope I have not bored everyone with my stories and introduction. I would like to meet every one in person during the drive. See you soon guys in the desert Thank you Regards Tharun Kumar V

  25. My advice is not to go for the lower lip in the first place if you intend to go close to sand or sandy patch or beach. It will be cracked or broken even on roadside sand if it's a little deep. Been there, done that. I have broken my LC lower lip on the very first entry to sand dunes before I could hit the first dune.

  29. Hi all, this will be my very first off road ride in UAE. Car is 2022 Ford Bronco, documents say it's red but I'd say it's more like terracota I have more that 10 years off road experience in my home country, but it has little common with what I see here - we don't have any sand, only forests/swamps/mud. I've bought radio, flag and everything else required and recommended. Do you know some nice quiet camping spot near starting point? Because I hate waking up in 5am

  31. Please read carefully before you join this drive Dear Freinds As i noted previously during Sweihan Drives series about this coming plan throughout the winter season and here we go . Unfortunately these drives are limited in number of participants and drive level minimum requirements for obvious Safety reasons. Alwaqan Desert is considered one of the most beautiful area south to Alain. the terrain and dunes are so diverse from technical dunes to massive bowls with moon like crators like the "pajero bowl" , pyramidal as well as different shapes named after like fish and octupus dunes ..etc the way to and exit from some of those are mostly not straight forward before climbing re routing and yet circling in differnet patterns in orders to cross over the other side which entails focus and clear mind, refinment in speed and momentum, control and above all nerves of steel as any miscalculation might lead to unwanted misshappen ,God forbid. Please take your car for inspection for any hidden issues that can be fixed ahead of this drive. the area is so remote and to get it to the track might be unsafe to do in some situations in case of break down. please check your spare tire condition and the tools reqiured to remove it and install.try it while you are at your front door and not in the middle of no where please. Also make sure that your recovery points are in good condition and not rusty. Please check your Gear properly especially the kinetic ropes and soft shackles that they are in good condition. the more ropes you have the better ๐Ÿ˜… Disclaimer : I consider this drive a high level drive ( not extreme ) which is highly demanding from the driver ( 80 % ) and the car ( 20 % ) . with all restrictions still the risk of car damage or mishappen is always there and i dont exclude my self. so please if you accept this and you meet the minimum requirement ( limited to 8 participants each having at least 5 IM drives done ) then i will be more than happy to share the fun to the best safely with you guys. Seidam We request every member that joins this drive to go through the below information and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquettes and responsibilities. 32. Hello Friends, For Land Cruiser 2013 model, I need down spoilers (front and back); though I am not sure the exact name of these in UAE; lip bumper, lip/down spoiler etc. I need advice where in Sharjah can I get these installed; and should I get any after-market non-branded ones, or should I go for genuine Toyota down spoilers that comes in 2015 model? Cost estimation will be highly appreciated, if I get. My car as genuine is as shown in first picture below; and the second picture is to show spoiler I am looking for.
