  2. Dear Sand Sailors With less than 48hours to go for this crazy expedition and still 7 WL drivers, let’s do a plan check to make sure we don’t have any last min surprises. Please review your plan and confirm your availability for the drive by EOD today. Thanks for your understanding. @Gerrit Bus @Benjamin @Gok Krish @Tareq Al Turq @Jaro Tuzinsky @Sunil Mathew @Joji varghese @Alexanderrr@DP1011 @Fabien Monleau

  3. Sailors in case I missed to share - we will be crossing through the greenest of desert you have explored. At certain points bushes higher than your vehicles. So just a summary - Steep climbs through Slip face + terraced shaped irregular dunes + green bushes = let’s buckle up.

  4. Hi All, due to some personal reasons I won't be able to join this drive. Instead, @Kailas and @Looper will be leading with the same drive plan and challenges. Have fun. Thanks Kailas and Goutam for saving this drive.

  8. Long story @Patrick 😅. On my first 3 Newbie drives I always have transmission overheated then the convoy stopped for me just to wait my transmission to cools down. One of the driver brought me that bottle and sprayed the transmission oil cooler and I remember he said “as Pajero owner this is a must” since then I call this bottle “Pajero extra transmission cooler” 😎. On the 4th newbie drive, I brought this cooler with confidence but one of the driver told me to try to drive in Triptonic. I did it and never have overheating issue anymore 😅. As @Benjamin said, we use it when we have a pop out but I never use it for that yet. So far I use it after the drive to wash my hand when I finish with the tire and the most important is to wash my face because I want to look fresh before saying “it’s a pleasure to drive with you, see you on the next drive soon 🤝😅.

  22. It’s just amazing and leaves lots of space for special camping trips or long drives needing Jerry cans etc For jlu riders also like the setup @Ranjan Das has with all the locked in drawers and @Juan R idea of locking shovel under rear seat (though not sure if it works with passengers in vehicle) - it’s not only being able to secure but also being able to keep it as is during the week, m too lazy to take out and keep thinks back.

  30. I find soft tool bags a lot useful to store things in the vehicle. They are much more easy to carry plus you can place theM anywhere and they won’t move much and they don’t break. In my current setup I have a trolly tool bag containing random stuff + Amazon Basics backpack tool bag with actual tools + Ace Tool bag with kinetic rope and 3 piece shovel. All of this goes behind the bench seat if my Jeep and there isn’t any space for them to move from there. Silver lining of the puny trunk of a 2 door Jeep JL.

  41. Hi @Gok Krish hope having a nice week. Noticed you were there in the last drive in this terrain - set out couple of years back. Any nice memories, reminisce of the same. Would be good to give a bit of flavor of what to expect for the team here. 😀

  42. Wow this filled up real fast - by 7:07 already we had 6 WL. Thanks all for your great response - it’s very encouraging, a much needed one especially for these exploration drives. @DP1011 and @Fabien Monleau added you guys to manage tab. In case of change in plans let me know. Details for the drive shall follow over next few days, in due course - ensure your cars are in healthy state, tools all set and above all, make sure that in case of any change in plans, update rsvp asap - we still have 6 WL 😊 Have a nice week ahead. Your response has raised my excitement to another level. See you all on Saturday.
