Admit it once in a while all of us come across this phrase after buying their cars, "I didnt know, my car can do that!" There are many features which pop up even after memorizing the whole freaking manual. And there are some features which with a few tweaks give a OMG effect.

So share with us all your discoveries/tricks/tips and hidden treasures of your mean machines!

Here are few to begin with:

ECLASS :

Press and *hold* the gear selector lever in the D- direction.

The transmission will automatically select the gear range suited for optimal acceleration and deceleration. This will involve shifting down one or more gears.

The moment you hit full throttle, car automatically downshift and change the fuel, throttle and engine management program change to sports one.

While we're talking about "tinkers and tricks", is there any way or setting to let that recycled air button to stay regularly, it goes off after every 15-min im clueless.

I think its a feature designed to let fresh air now and then and not let the user suffocate on recycled air.. I read somewhere it is a safety feature, to avoid the possible buildup of stray exhaust gas in the cabin and no its not programmable.
