@Ahmed Abdelsalam since we’re in the same convoy, I have spare deflator & gauge, we can exit the same time so you can use my compressor too. Look for a White Patrol if you change your mind 😊6 points

Showing up to a Pajero party in the morning - @salah2u& @Mohammed Mansoor's menacing Y62s to @Sara EL FANIDI's limber SWB JK, @Joji vargheseand his skill-full murdered-out Fortuner, @Rsjiv Samuel's clean lines FJC, and of course @James Thorn's beefy beast - thank you for evening out the marques 🤣 I joke because with a total driving time of 3.5hrs, of which only 30 mins were spent with some minor refusals, today was a smooth sailing convoy and one of the quietest radio comms. For the latter - thank you! It was lovely to settle into a peaceful trance at the back rather than listening (& chipping) into bad jokes usually powered by the lack of coffee. You would have all heard me pip up as I've been spoilt hard in the other drives. I can get used to this more Thank you @Frederic & @Warren Flay for giving us the best path out, and @Yousef Alimadadi in his lovely two-tone Pajero - providing ample guidance and keeping our core tight and agile. As my first sweep role, I would like to report that I had nothing to do than follow Samuel & James who were so deftly helping our convoy slink forward. I would also like to report that I did not get up to any munky bizness ( no photos so it didn't happen ) See you all out on the sands again soon5 points

Great drive today! Sorry again for being late. I haven't been driving in these big bowls for a while and the terrain caught me off guard a couple of times but overall I definitely enjoyed pushing the FJ to its limits on these big bowls. The area got quite busy but we still managed to find some good spots to have fun. @sertac that was an amazing location and perfect lead. First time driving with you and really liked the pace and the lines you made us go through 👍 @Ruan van den Heever @Amir Amiri You made it look easy! @Zixuan Huang - Charlie @Nihal17 @Mus_hus78 Always a pleasure driving with you @Pacific great support as usual and always appreciate a flying Jeep 😁4 points

Thanks @Fredericthat was a lot of fun! Technical nadgery dunes in dirty old Dubai. Slow in places and speedy in others, concentration was required at all times. Thanks to @Yousef Alimadadiand @munkybizness for competent CF and Sweep duty, It was a massive caravan today and at times it seemed to stretch to the very horizon but everyone was doing well with minor self extractions and go-arounds happening with minimum disruption. Well done everyone and looking forward to driving with you all again soon.4 points

Thank you for the drive this morning @Lorenzo Candelpergher! A beautiful itinerary with huge possibilities, and almost no tracks at all. The only convoys in sight were camels ! It is a gem! Definitely worth returning and exploring further. The landscape was superb and we could enjoy even if the pace of the drive was requiring a continuous concentration . thank you all for the support and company, @Shaaz Sha, I hope you can recover you car without too much troubles.3 points

Thank you @Lorenzo Candelpergher for the drive this morning, whilst it was unfortunate that events conspired against us so all 3 parts of the drive couldn’t be completed, I hope this means we will be able to return to the area again soon! This was totally different to the Sweihan drive I did recently, which just goes to show how vast the area is.. Thanks to those who supported and @Shaz Shah I hope you manage to sort your car out soon (after you have located it!) See you all soon 🌵3 points

@Aisha Sglad u made it back safe and fast.. The way i see it we all had a short master class on dealing with pop outs… part n parcel of taming the dunes... @Chaitanya Dthanks for leading and coaching as through some of the essentials: safety, pop out fix process and most importantly dealing with ambiguity… also we had the best drive of the terrain and conditions had to offer.. @Josh T. U r simply amazing mate…. The support and energy u bring in to the drive… highly appreciate and enjoyed the team work and synergy with everyone… See u all in the next drive…2 points

I’m sorry guys for taking much of your time during the drive because of a reckless mistake. 🥺 I’d like to thank each and every one of you for being very helpful and supportive. I hope you got to enjoy the remainder of the drive (whatever was left of it). Took my car to the tire shop and had them pop out all the tires and all’s good. There was no puncture. Probably sand got between the wheels and the tire. Hope to see you all again soon on the sand.2 points

Dear Desertnauts In preparation of tomorrow's Nature Drive, you'll soon find the meeting point published in the drive's post. It has been chosen to start from the area closest to the coast, just south of E611. We'll deflate on the track leading off to the right of Al Shohadaa Rd toward the Ritz-Carlton Desert Resort (signs for this destination are visible since the E611). Once you reach the meeting point, please park on the right and left side of the road, to allow traffic to still move through. We'll tune into Carnity Channel #1 (446.006). The meeting (and hopefully starting time) has been set at 6:30AM, (not 6:00) to account for the longer distance of the meeting area from Dubai, where most members are coming from. As far as the drive is concerned, the plan is to enter the area from the pylon track running south, and to start familiarizing with the terrain using a few sand tracks left by locals, amidst all kind of vegetation, growing either on the slopes of soft and tall red sand dunes (with some tricky crossing points) or on the firm ground amongst the dunes. All sorts of flora will be visible, from creeping vines to grasses, shrubs and tall trees. Camels may roam the area as well as wild donkeys. We'll proceed south, toward an area of sabkhas, separated from each other by beautiful longitudinal dunes. We'll attempt some ridge-riding of these dunes' soft humps. At this point, based on the convoy's response, the drive may be taking two different directions: either further South-East, in the direction of the Ajar Mountains' foothills (with exit at Al Ghail's Industrial Zone), or in a West/North-West direction to reach for more longitudinal dunes and the final sabkha next to the village of Biyatah, on the E55. This second option will be more challenging, due to the more difficult shape of the dunes, and a more complicated approach to their crossing (closer ridges, presence of small but deep bowls, and soft sand). I do not expect to have enough time, as the drive as it is will already cover quite some distance, but if we manage to make good time, I am entertaining the possibility of extending the drive further, for FEWBIE AND ABOVE ONLY (who abound on this drive), into the area leading further west, toward the road joining Al Zubair to Al Bataeh. At the moment the convoy order looks like this: @luis mantecon in Second Lead @Max Beloenko at #3 @Manish Kashyap in place #4 @Thomas Varghese at the Center in place #5 @topgear at #6 @Chris Wing #7 @JeromeFJ at #8, and @Niki closing the FJ contingent, and sweeping the group. Enjoy your Friday, and Carnity's Winter Welcome Drive this afternoon (if you are participating, do not go to bed too late 😜).2 points

If you have a deflator (or car key) and pressure gauge, that should be fine for this drive.2 points
