@Shaaz Shayou were amazing. i enjoyed a lot, no words on high dunes. especially with this convoy. I had a beautiful weekend in Sweihan and all drived well where we had no major obstacles were encountered in this terrain and at last everybody was driving safe, this what i personally like in @Carnity. @Asif Hussainnice meeting you. @Ranjan Das, @Pacific & @Looper your presence was additional drug to the convoy, was much appreciated. @Vaibhav@Waqas Parvez@MMansoor as usual with you all, i had most of my drives, i don't know how we every time we end up in same convoy. @MMansoor Hope to see you soon in the desert and get your car charged back. @Anoop NairAlways a pleasure Driving with you. @Gilbert Khalilit was good to know you after many drives, but we never exchange words. @Naveen Raj flawless performance from you.

This drive was much need of the hour. Tons of thanks to @Shaaz Sha. Big dunes with big boys...perfect fun and adrenaline gushing adventure. Nice to meet you @Asif Hussain. With @Looper its always a pleasure...pleasure. Overall it was great bunch of desert wanderers. Love the drive n spirit of each and every one. Most importantly we shared the laughter during break. @Shaaz Sha This was my 1st Drive in Sweihan with you. I was already excited and I did not even sleep night before to join the drive. As always you have exceeded the expectations in the drive and it was a fast and smooth drive. We had good amount of climbs and clean tracks. I cant wait for another drive, since I could not complete it because of my overheating issue. @Asif Hussain Thanks for your amazing second lead and helping me to fix the over heating issue until we exited. @Pacific and @Looper thanks for your support as CF and SW. Stage 1 After your Support Team promotion request is accepted, you will receive a Desert Recovery Champion training to be fully equipped to handle the most levels of support requirements: Basic self-recovery techniques Tow rope recovery – basics Recover vehicle without tow points How to fix tire pop out / change How to deal with extreme recoveries Advance survival techniques How to deal with vehicle overheating First-Aid response Firefighting response Stage 2 (optional) Pre-requisite 1) Minimum 10 "Carnity" Intermediate drives are required within the last 6 months. 2) For progressing further to Advisor level, you need to receive a minimum of 4 different Marshals / Crew approval by supporting 4 or more Newbie drives, so that you can attain adequate exposure for bigger roles that come with more responsible and commanding tasks in the future. To learn and demonstrate your recovery and self-recovery skills. Help individuals to self-recover or use tow rope or winch recoveries. To demonstrate your convoy commanding skills in difficult situations. And people interaction skills to manage the convoy with clear communication. Once you receive 4 different Marshals / Crew approval, then you will be eligible for your Advisor promotion. Eligibility criteria: Maximum two rounds of 4 Newbie drives each will be assigned to you with different Marshals for demonstrating your skills, knowledge, commitment, and team player attitude. You must attain a full consensus of all 4 Marshal / Crew in either the first or the second round as a qualifier. Full 4 drives consensus need to be achieved in either round for you to proceed, else your promotion request will be rejected permanently. You may of course continue in the Carnity Off-road Club at your previous rank.

This is the place where I had my first Swihan drive experience on 9th October 2020 in fact my 2nd Newbie drive and the day when @Asif Hussain was promoted as Marshal. Today is another day to remember and a great showing by all. The first half was spent climbing tall dunes and being thrilled at sight of those mighty dunes. We visited a couple of huge bowls where were tried to climb. In the first one I was not very successful will do it next time, but was able to conquer the second one. There are always going to be many many tall dunes to conquer and never ever a good idea to try everything in the same drive and do mistakes. In an intermediate drive there is nothing much to do as a support, since everyone is quite accomplished drivers, especially in the sweep, all I was doing was follow a churned up track and take some pics. The pics I put in the gallery will never do justice to what we experienced today. Thanks a lot @Shaaz Sha for this magnificent drive;, @Asif Hussain blessing with your presence and partial 2nd lead and showing how to climb those dunes for the rest of us; @Pacific in the center froward enjoying yourself. It was unfortunate to see that mighty Patrol of @MMansoor get hot, hope it gets fixed soon - and keep us updated on the causes. @Gilbert Khalil you for sure had a great day in your first Intermediate drive. The drive's title hints at the goal of reaching a large feeding station just north of E14 (the road linking Faqa to Ghantoot), where often one can admire huge herds of Oryx roaming the dunes. Based on the convoy's abilities, we may exit at Ghantoot or head back to Qudra's area via sabkhas and some more long range dunes. Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. A huge thanks @Chaitanya D for this lovely experience of leading a drive through the most awesome of long range dunes in Dubai. From choosing the starting point to planning the route, convoy ordering and eventually turning this partial lead to almost a full drive lead - you simply made it an wholesome immersive learning experience for me. 🤘🖖 Whole convoy (except map mixed up case with @Abdul Basit Khan) was right on time at Lisali Camel track and crossing through the dust track we entered the notorious Lisali's tech dunes at 6:30am, With lead handed over to me, the plan was clear, we breezed through the initial tech dunes and within minutes we were exploring the unexplored beautiful long range dunes of Lisali. After my last few drive in Qudra area, it was a relaxing sight to find some really beautiful dune with no cross tracks and early morning sun rising through east provided the trigger to SPEED UP . Convoy responded well to the challenge as crossing and side slopping through these beautiful dunes we reached DCT Waypoint 2 within an hour with only some minor refusals and need for a one soft tug executed perfectly by @Alfred Alinazar. We had a quick briefing and demo about basics of criss-crossing and were again speeding towards the next set of dunes experimenting with some nice steep side slopes and some sharp ridges to cross. Maneuvering through the bushy area we drifted to Murquab and were welcomed by a tricky technical patch. After a few refusals, stucks in the middle of convoy and a couple of amazing self recoveries executed by @Jessica Lambert we were back again onto the long range dunes.. Crossing through the DCT Waypoint 3 - it was pure Show Off time for the convoy , as we tried some back to back ridge crossing as well as rode through the ln of some sweet ridges. As we reached the passage through the Murquab farms, it was time for Master to take over and for next 30 min, convoy swept through some awesome dunes and had chance to explore awesome play areas. Exactly as planned, we were back again on dust track at 10 and ended the drive with a smile - a morning well spent Overall we travelled 48Km (a bit short of @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler estimate) at an average moving speed of 18Km/hr with a stoppage time of around 45min. which is a good indicator of how well the convoy handled the terrain. Wrangler boys @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler @RiaanJH @Peter Hager had perfect drive. @Mahmoud Taha and @Ashutosh Garg - hope you enjoyed the experience, refusals and stucks are what train us in self recovery process, i am sure our self recovery champion of the day @Jessica Lambert will support me on this. @Alfred Alinazar @Andrew McCarthy was nice catching up with you guys. That was a lovely drive - one of my favourites so far. I hadn’t realised there were such dunes in Dubai. Many thanks to @Chaitanya D for organising. Great stuff from @varunmehndirattaas the alternate lead - really good lines, excellent communication, and the right pace to keep it enjoyable while keeping the convoy together. I look forward to driving with you again. Particular admiration also for @Jessica Lambert for miraculous powers of seemingly effortless recovery, self-deprecation and carrying a spare radio. Hello, boys. I think we all had a good time in Sweihan today. It was a beautiful day today, and we were all gathered at the meeting point, eager to get our fill of adrenaline. We began at 6 a.m., half an hour late, waiting for daylight, and proceeded gently towards the huge dunes of Sweihan. The terrain was wonderful, with plenty of room for an Intermediate convoy to explore and flourish. The convoy was able to handle all of the hurdles, and there were no major snags or refusals. We didn't use any recovery gear today, and we didn't even get out of the car except for short breaks. We had a last-minute surprise before the start today with @Asif Hussain joining the team.Thank you so much, @Asif Hussain bhai. It was a pleasure to have you on board. We kept cruising, conquering every dune on our way, with lots of sideys, lengthy climbs, and incredibly soft sand patches to put our skills to the test, and each one of you did a fantastic job today. At roughly 8.15 a.m., @MMansoor car overheated, and we decided to take a break to assess the situation beneath a tree shade beside a large bowl. Every one of us got a fair shot at attempting that huge bowl. We decided to proceed further after filling the coolant in @MMansoor car, but the vehicle overheated again. we decided to exit him at the nearest exit .It was 9 a.m. by the time we arrived at the pylon track, and @Asif Hussain also chose to exit with @MMansoor. The rest of the convoy agreed to continue for another half an hour , and after tackling a few more enormous dunes and sideys, our sweihan expedition came to an end at another pylon track . Thank you @Asif Hussain for participating in our effort and for all of your assistance, support, and guidance. It's great to hear you had a good time with us on your backyard drive 😄. Thanks @Shaaz Sha actually two days back i passed this car with the airbag signal on. I removed the fuse last week and sent for passing forgetting to put back on. so that is not a worry as of now. already asked workshop people to remove the side curtain airbags as its not needed for me personally. So for next drive will bring the same vehicle. To see what break next.

@ShereenMK, what I know is that unless you go for a comprehensive test RTA doesn't check if the air bags are present in the vehicle or not, and it's up to you to decide as its your safety. Most of the cars in used market mainly (parallel imports) doesn't have all the air bags..and still the cars are registered here in UAE. I had a similar issue with one of my car and I did the re - registration with out two front air bags. To reset your BCM there are people on Sharjah who does that for an amount with in 500 Aed.

Thank you, @Shaaz Sha, for an amazing drive. I didn't get much sleep last night because we had to get up at 3:30 a.m. to start our drive. There was no warm-up and the first dune was almost 100 meters long. The drive was non-stop of high dunes twice the size of Iftar or super bowl. I've driven in Liwa before but it was nothing compared to the high-speed drive we did today ,the terrain was beautiful with no cross tracks While we waited for @MMansoor car to cool down, we had a great time with all of the drives and laughed a lot, while @Ranjan Das @Looper @Pacific, and @Gilbert Khalilcontinued to try to climb the mighty dune. @Asif Hussain Thank you for your second lead, it was a pleasure meeting you for the first time. @Vaibhav we had been looking forward to this drive, and it much exceeded our expectations, you drove beautifully @Rajiv Sam@Naveen Raj@Anoop Nair @Gilbert Khalil@MMansoor@Ranjan Dasit was pleasure driving with you all it was simply a flawless drive @Looper@Pacific Thank you guys as usual for the support. Waw what a drive , definitely Sweihan taste different in the night more thrilling and adrenaline pumping adventure. Thank you dear Sri @Srikumar for this amazing experience, for a second I thought you were serious about night blindness 🤣 adding more Adrenalin into the veins of the fellow drivers 😂 . Couple minutes after take off a pop out sound like heard in the front part of the convoy. Curtain airbags diploid in @ShereenMKpathfinder , Despite the fuse was pulled . Luckily no one got hurt and we exited him from safety point of view. continuing rolling , in and out bowling, roll coastering , criss crossing of our lights along our vehicles with at times long sidys. It was a treat from the back to enjoy this festival . not for long and @Thomas Varghese didn’t feel good so we took a break and we checked on our friend that he is good however we all agreed to exit him. Hope you doing much better now my friend. @Mus_hus78 thanks for being the second lead , you slide like an ice cream down in reverse 👍 @AlexM and @Karthik Raptor both second time we drive together in a row and in the night too 😅 excellent performance guys keep it up 👍 @KAMALIO nice seeing after a while hope your sons enjoyed it . Bet they took the tips to avoid motion sickness seriously 😄as no complains heard 👍. as you see dear clear communication is all what this sport is all about to keep it fluid and safe. @Prakash Anoop it was pleasure to be in the passenger seat in the red wrangler ,after we dropped Thomas to exit as I took the wheel of his car , going back to collect my lonely waiting Xterra in the center of huge bowl 😅.
