Dear Sand Sailors With less than 18 hours to go for this drive through the treacherous dunes of Little Sweihan, find below the convoy order and other details. Looking forward to see you all, let’s bring our A game on.. nothing less than that would work in this terrain. We have a long convoy and a good mix of experience - so let’s implement the Platoon concept we experimented with in our last drive. Believe most of you are aware of the same, for others will share during the pre drive briefing. Channel : 3 Meeting Time : 530am Meeting Point : https://maps.app.goo.gl/ATc8SASUigiP8xo28 1. Congratulations @Hisham Masaad for reaching the Marshal level with Carnity Offroad Club. Hisham joined Carnity in late 2020 with his FJ Cruiser and loads of passion and excitement to conquer sand dunes. With a very humble beginning and a great helpful attitude towards all off-roaders and carnity management, he has quickly positioned himself as an integral part of the carnity family. With time, patience and skills he has taken on new challenges and tasted the maximum adrenaline offered at a higher level and pace of drives. His extreme passion for sand driving, leading and supporting off-road drives made him rise through the ranks to become a vital part of Carnity off-road club. His contribution and intelligent support behind the drives, planning and great teamwork were always been highly appreciated. MARSHAL is one of the most prestigious and sought-after titles that comes after a lot of hard work, patience, tolerance, and dedication. Just like all the levels in Carnity offroad club is "NOT" only based on driving skills but instead based on the combination of your personality + intelligence + team spirit + adventure. This Marshal title is an epitome for all levels in the offroad grading structure. So if anyone wants to grow, they can set any of Carnity Offroad Club Marshal as a PERFECT example for not only following the driving skills and style but also observing their behavior, teamwork, presence of mind, calculative approach, patience and tolerance to teach and support new offroaders.4 points

Dear all we have 12 confirmed members and 6 WL. I have already extended the drive for 12 (instead of original 10 driver). Considering terrain and drive plan won’t be fair for anyone to extend any further the convoy size. So request all to review your plan and please update rsvp in case of change in plans, latest by tomo afternoon. Let’s not wait till last min. For those who won’t be accommodated, I regret the same however promise will schedule another drive in the region with same or hopefully improved theme sometime soon. Thanks for your understanding. Dear Dune Surfers, @Jaro Tuzinsky @Jonny90 @Arman @TT_Dubai @Zulfikhar Naiyar @Brett Eicher @Sunny84 @Ignacio Quindós @salah2u @Imran Kashif @Ranjan Das @Looper Hope you are having a great week and eagerly waiting for the weekend!! welcome to the 4th edition of Skill Drive Series which had been posted in previous weeks The idea of this drive is to practice the skill and enjoy the thrill of side sloping. Side sloping is an important skill while navigating the desert. This technique is very fun and addictive, but it needs to be executed with a clear mind and a good experience with the behavior of the car. That is the main reason why this technique is only used from Fewbie level onwards. It is very critical to understand how gravity works and as we always says: " DO NOT FIGHT GRAVITY ". this applies to this technique most of all. I see that we have no more waitlists for this drive as all of them have been accommodated to other drives or not able to join due to own reasons. ( we will miss you guys). however please confirm by evening if there are any changes in you plans. The start point is : https://goo.gl/maps/vQ9HZ7gAvPUCc5r58 We will be driving towards Lisaili and based on convoy response , will exit near camel tracks or fort or loop around to exit at start point. Welcome back @Arman @Ranjan Das @Looper !! its good to see your names in the list!! I will send the convoy list and radio frequency by Evening once everyone confirms.1 point

Dear explorers i would like to make it clear . It’s an entirely new area that my self never drove in . And from studying the different maps the dune formation and sand consistency could be unpredictable from soft to super soft . In addition double slip faces of star shaped dunes are predominant in some spots which we try our best to avoid being trapped within . Sudden abrupt almost 90 degrees descent might be encountered . Risk is there sure and could be more than the usual . On the other hand there are nice dunes in the vicinity of few fenced and non fenced farms and reserves with multiple trees dispersed here and there . I have studied the area extensively before head and with the proper planing and with couple of experienced drivers I believe risks can be reduced substantially but not eliminated totally . I hope we will find the thrill what we seek in this area and reveal what is doable in the future visits to this part of the desert . can’t wait to explore it together with great vigilance and enthusiasm . cheers Seidam1 point

I believe I now found the holy grail of deactivating the airbags on the RAM 1500. It was as simple as asking the dealership. Although they didn't have a OEM switch, they some how improvised and fitted a nanny kill switch for me, switching off all the bothersome systems when off roading with a simple toggle underneath the steering. Will test it oit on Saturday.1 point
