You could use either the ADNOC Wagan or ADNOC Al Qua. Both are open 24 hours. ADNOC Qua is a bit closer to the meeting point but you need to cross the meeting point and then return. Please ensure that your filled to the absolute brim. There is no CAFU service inside the Pajero Bowl

Dear Desertnauts let's prepare for Saturday's orbit in our Solar Park "system" of dunes, sabkhas and mixed terrain. We will leave from the outskirts of Solar Park's Innovation Center (the iconic glass spire visible from a most parts of Qudra and Lisaili), launching the convoy in a southern direction, across the so-called "Middle Earth", spinning off at Little Sweihan, slinging eastward toward Lisaili. Once there, upon reaching the furthest point from the "sun", we'll revert our course, heading first north to the boundary between Murqab and Lisaili, and finally, racing through Lisaili itself, we'll travel southward, all the way back to the Solar Park tarmac road. The drive will maintain a relatively fast pace, all things considered, but since the goal is to complete the relatively long counter revolution, and not to beat any speed record, we may reduce the speed, to insure a safer and smoother progress along our orbit. Let's aim to cross the Liwa Crescent from one side to another. To experience the magic of Rub’ al Khali (Empty Quarter) the largest uninterrupted desert on Earth! The Liwa Crossing through Empty Quarter offers a chance to witness nature in its purest form and in itself is a transcendent experience. However, traveling through the largest desert in the world is not something that should be taken lightly. It will be a 150 - 200 km off-road drive covered within 1.5 days through amazing breathtaking views and the enormous size of dunes on earth. What you will find here: Tallest sand dunes (200 - 300 meters) Steepest incline and drops Longest side sloping Broad ridge riding Faster heartbeat Sweaty hands Mandatory rules for Liwa Crossing (exceptional) drive. Considering its seriousness to keep you and your vehicle safe, these strict rules will be applied to all. If you are newly promoted to Intermediate (less than 2 drives at new level), then please choose Fewbie or Fewbie Plus. If you were away on a long break (more than 2 months), then please choose Fewbie or Fewbie Plus. It is highly recommended to drive alone, as it's a very serious and demanding drive to stay focused at all times. Maximum of one passenger allowed - No exceptions and trip lead will send you back. Make sure that passenger has no fear of heights, motion sickness and have been to full-day off-road drives before. As once we enter the desert, the only way out is from the other side, without any early exits for 100-150 kms. Everything in your car should be strapped and secured - All vehicles will be checked by the trip lead. Drive Preparation: Your car should be in 100% pristine working condition, so double or triple check everything. Full-size spare tire with a lug wrench to match your wheel nut size and its depth. For aftermarket rims - Your lug wrench also needs to match the wheel nut depth. As it's a long full-day drive, so catch up with enough sleep in advance. 5-10 liter of water per person. Snacks for breakfast, lunch, dinner and next day breakfast. Keep your car as light as possible by packing what is truly essential. Fully charged radio with spare battery and all other required off-road gears. Gas tank and required number of jerry cans should be full upon arrival. As A matter of fact in PB ( almost a perfect circular high walled and huge crater , in there No Cafu , No cell signal to call for help , No internet obviously . The only way out is to climb it either by foot or car 🤣

I will go to FB plus, but if its full, you gotta take me back 😜 In the last 2-3 months , the only IM drives I was available are the last week with a restriction of a minimum 3 or 4 IM drives and this one . Life is unfair 😄 However, I still did couple of fewbie plus drives with 70% of IM drivers, I think I should be ok, but I am ok with F+ too, as long they will take me 😉

Hi @LKPi installed the kill switch myself and took less than 1 hour. I used below video as guidance: Takes a tiny bit of soldering, but it's easy to do. I installed the switch below the steering wheel and used this model which i had lying around at work and had 1 Normal Open contact. Any type of switch will do as long as it possesses 1 Normal Open contact.

Nobody knows, that's the fun, lol. Its working fine, maybe clear google cache as per many users google maps isnt loading correctly. Blue line tarmac route on google maps. Red line is the tentative Liwa crossing plan.

Well team, I've gone and done it. I have bought and fitted a Chronos 4x4 Traction control defeat switch. Why? mainly because it allows you to mimic a locker front diff by using TC to control front wheel spin when the trans is in 4Llc and diff lock engaged. Another benefit is that instead of popping the bonnet and removing the fuse for the TC/ABS/ASC I can now flick a switch and acheive the same effect. I know that I will enjoy this upgrade since twice now I have been out in the world (not on an off road jaunt) and had cause to drive off the tarseal in order to take a short cut and both times the Gadgero has more or less refused to move believing that all the wheels are spinning and just bogging down and groaning in distress. Now I can hit the switch and getterdun!!! I am off to paradise (Sweihan) on Friday morning so I will report back on the success or otherwise of my folly. Wish me luck.

Hello @Vanessa8580, I was promoted to fewbie plus a couple month back (even though I did not do fewbie plus drives yet since). so I understood that as fewbie plus with less than 2 fewbie plus drives you could register to the fewbie level. I am also booked to a fewbie drive this coming week end (14th). So this will be 4 fewbie drive in the last 3 month + fewbie plus level. I was hoping that would be sufficient ? (in addition I have 11 intermediate drives with another club (Abu Dhabi 4x4), in case that could help I was really looking forward to this drive, since 1 year when I could not make it last year. Just like any other sport or hobby, off road driving too has it's own etiquette's. Often times these are not spoken out loud or mentioned in public to not to embarrass anyone. If you like to continue off road driving, you should know these basic offroad driving etiquette's and follow them. Pay 100% undivided attention to the instructions: Whether it's in briefing or on radio communication while recovering, give your 100% attention and if you cannot due to some incoming call or passenger distraction, ask them to repeat. Most of the instructions are given so that you can drive safely. If you still live in the mobile world or loud music or radio volume turned down, you will miss out on critical safety instruction that can end up breaking your 4x4 or bones, seriously. Follow the instruction PRECISELY: From as simple as deflate to 12-14 PSI, drive in HI gear, engage to LO as soon as you get stuck. These instructions have been given to YOU for YOUR safety and enhancing your offroad driving experience. If you deflate to 22 PSI instead of 12, you will have endless refusals, stucks and A/T Transmission & Engine will soon overheat. If you don't engage on LO as soon as you get stuck, you will lose the most critical surface area in which LO gear could have saved the day, rather than toiling in HI gear for first few minutes and making the stuck even more worst for your car. Acknowledge the message: Always acknowledge the radio messages as the reliability of radio communication is highly questionable. Step out and help: When you are stuck and someone is helping you, it's a BASIC MANNER to step out of your car and help the Marshal or senior member who is helping you. You can help them clearing the sand, fixing the rope or inspect the stuck or plan of recovery. Sitting inside a stuck vehicle and waiting is the worst and most offending thing to do. If someone is helping you to check tire pressure, then step out and observe, how to delate to precise PSI. Disclaimer: In some 1% tricky angles or situation, if you have a doubt or difficulty to come out, ask the Marshal or senior member: If its safe for you to step out? Please don't assume and sit inside. Observe and learn: Every stuck and recovery has a lot to teach. Observe and learn from your stucks and discuss with Marshals how to not to get stuck again in a similar way. If you don't observe and learn you will end up doing the same mistakes over and over again. Learn Vs Serve: All the knowledge and experience are there to help you learn offroading and not just to serve you. So that as soon as you learn, you start practising it and become more capable offroader and be able to help others in the future.
