  1. Extreme Desert Drive Extreme Desert Drive is an extension of an Intermediate drive but at a lot faster pace with a continuous drive-time on big rolling and difficult dunes. The difficulty level of climbs, ridge riding, criss-crossing will be more or less the same as the Intermediate level, but doing that over and over again at high speed requires special attention to be courageous but with extreme caution. If you and your vehicle are perfectly in-sync with the Intermediate level without repetitive stuck, refusals, or losing track, then only you should consider joining this fast-paced extreme drive. This drive offers the maximum adrenaline among all the types of drives and also demands a very experienced and sensible driver with a fully protected 4x4 vehicle. In such extreme fast pace drive, it is highly recommended to drive alone without any passengers to avoid any distractions. Who can join: Selected - Intermediate and above With a minimum of 5 Intermediate drive experience. The final selection will be based on Crew and Marshals feedback. Disclaimer: The chance of damaging your vehicle is quite high in such fast-paced extreme drives, so please join at your own discretion. _________________ This drive is organized in full compliance with the COVID19 guidelines. We expect every member that joins this drive to go through below information and and strictly follow these guidelines in order not to jeopardize someone's health, and to ensure we can keep organizing these drives safely. 2. Looking forward to it @Rahimdad 😘 Olive bread, cookies and some tea for our next drive 😀 Very interesting facts you bring up 😀 Here’s my personal take on this... @Emmanuel, @Srikumar and @Lorenzo Candelpergher all have the “Speedy Gonzales” gene in them 🤣 I’ve been on IM drives with all three guys, and they have all managed to impress the heck out of me; giving me sweaty palms from speed and maneuvers 😀 If I had to pick the “honey I soiled my pants” drive between all 3, I would have to go with the Italian 😀. @Lorenzo Candelpergher’s entire convoy couldn’t breathe because the drive was so fast and so intense 😬 So here you go; my personal experience with all three marshals. Now we need to figure out a way to decide who of these three gentlemen is the undisputed “Carnity Velociraptor” 💪🏻

  6. Dear Desertnauts. At Carnity we are always looking to enrich our drives' offer, scouting and choosing new locations. This drive is the newest installment in this collection of "discoveries" (Sand to Mountain in RAK, Lisaili, Margham, Lahbab, Murqaab, Bab al Shams, Ganthoot, etc.). The drive has been chosen primarily for its scenic value: we will be as close to Dubai as it can be while off-roading, with sights of Downtown and the Burj Khalifa (weather permitting). The terrain will be first a mix of sand and....tarmac, then we will zig-zag through low, bushy and gnarly trees, in an easterly direction, toward the E44, near which we'll drive up and down some taller, broad dunes, with some steeper descents on the slip-face, before turning back toward the original starting point. While the level of difficulty is quite moderate, this is a very appealing and relaxing drive, with nice photo opportunities. We are surely looking forward to a very enjoyable morning, where the surprises should only come from the drives' unusual "urban" scenery. See you all out there soon.

  7. @Ahab Shamaa I miss all the love you shower on me as well. Rest assured I'll have a hospitality tent available to us on our next drive. BTW congrats on being among the selected few for this drive. @Srikumar will push you and your vehicles to the limit, so get ready for a ride which will be etched in your minds forever. P.S. @Emmanuel is still our Veloceraptor and can't wait for him to post an Extreme drive.

  8. I think its clear that this drive is not for everyone @Ahab Shamaa. You show your interest and only the chosen few will be allowed on this drive. As a driver your concentration is a must. Just as important is the fact that your ride can take the constant pushing to its limits continuously. Sign up if you dare.

  9. Drive report Another lovely Friday morning and the weather is still amazing .... It was very nice to see everyone perfectly on time and very excited to start the drive. @Jose Martin was my second lead and he did an amazing job, he kept enough distance and did some corrections and minor rerouting when I asked him. Very good job ! @Antonio Jimenez Williams did good with the Prado but is sometimes still a little shy on the gas, keep practicing and you will definitely get there .... The Prado is a powerful car and I want to hear it roar now and then. Behind Antonio were the Pajero boys, @Navkriti, @danferrub and @Nikola Bozovic. They did well with some refusals here and there but I was very impressed with them although it was only their second drive in the club. The LWB Pajero is not the easiest car, especially a 3.5 but all three managed their cars very well. Always remember, momentum is your friend .... I didn't really hear @soumyasaklani and @Sanjay Malik so I assumed they didn't have any trouble at all and every time I saw them, they had a big smile on their faces. Good job guys ... @Osama Al Hamwi, I am so sorry about your front bumper, I hope you can get it fixed under insurance and maybe try to trim the bumper and get a proper bash plate. You drive very well and I hope to see you soon again. The Wranglers in the back @I.M.Shousha إسلام أبوشوشة, @Yi-Wei and @Nacho also did well. Just don't forget not to fight gravity ... I really like @Daniel Rodas's Dodge Ram, it is a beautiful and very powerful car and he did amazingly well, he only got crested once .... Thank you so much for your support @Foxtrot Oscar, it was really nice to have you on my drive ! I hope to see you all again very soon and great job everyone !

  10. Once you have send entering the manifold it will have gotten to the internal components such as valves and cylinders. Sand is extremely hard and will damage bearings very soon. My suggestion would be to change the engine oil immediately and get the engine flushed (most oil change shops have this kind of machine). This would remove hopefully most of the sand.

  11. @Asif Hussain first of all thank you for having all of us with utmost patience in this drive being only marshal I can imagine the stress we put on you which you managed professionally ! second I am still in the state of hallucination after this life time experience of 8+ hours in the desert infact I was even talking while asleep “Copy that”🙃. I am expecting a thesis by @Asif Hussain for this trip 😁...... thanks to rest of group who helped us through this challenging terrain , especially @Rob Harper 😇 .

  13. Hi @DANIEL NOGUEIRA based on feedback from the Marshal and Crew of your previous drives, we understand you have had several car related issues in the recent past. Hence, I suggest you to first test your car a couple of times in Intermediate drives and if it has been a smooth run then you can sign up for selection to an Extreme drive. I will have to ask you to please sign out. Thanks.

It works similar to google Earth 3D function, but i only see the functionality being interesting in the mountains, as anything below 200m is not that impressive and the results in 2D are often more accurate.

Just bring on the pampers; I’m gonna need lots of them 😂 I’ve seen all three of you drive, and I know what you’re capable of unleashing! It sounds like Carnity was more socially active before Corona. Hopefully, this will be the case again, and we’ll be able to have large convoys like in Liwa 🙏🏻

  32. @Frederic I drove the Pajero, LWB - 3.5L in trip tronic main interchanging between 3,2and 1 and i must say it did the trick. Summarized below what i experienced as i feel this could really fellow new gen pajero mates. 1. No overheated transmission which i experienced in 4 out of 5 trips done earlier. 2. It took circa half an hour to get used to the up and down shift. 3. Once used to, it was good, clear and predictable power delivery. It was difficult in auto mode during earlier drives as in there due to unwanted auto shifting often there are occassions you really didnt get the momentum you need. 4. I believe revving up the engine a bit more which happens in the trip tronic mode is far better than overloading the transmission and suggest every one to try this mode out before making any changes to the vehicle. Thank you

  37. Yes i do think so. Anyways keep joining few drives and see if you notice any strange behavior of the car cutting the power or applying the ABS braking. If not, then i agree the TRC button is the best and least-intrusive option.
