  1. I want to say a huge thank you to the whole team for their help today! @Islam Soliman, @Mohamed Seidam, @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ, @Ashok chaturvedi, @Ahab Shamaa, @Foxtrot Oscar and everyone who kept the ropes! Today was a great reminder that off-roading even in Al Qudra is associated with risks if you don't follow the technique and overestimate the capabilities of the car. @Ale Vallecchi thank you so much for your leadership and coordinating the whole operation, only because of this the car got off so easily As luck would have it, the only visible damage is a broken mirror. The police arrived in 15 minutes after I called them, and were clearly surprised by the lack of serious damages (only pictures helped me to prove that the incident really happened how I described it) Since I have several filmed moments of similar cases in the past, including my 360, I will make a video with the analysis of this case. It is, as always, not follwong the technique (MUST be no exceptions), fighting with the gravity and ignoring the vehicle's momentum Hope to see everyone soon in my new side mirror

  2. Trip Report Was a lovely day. It was very nice to see my teacher @Rahimdad after long time at the meeting point. Another no stuck day. My rope is getting older in the trunk My good friend @Mehmet Volga completed his leaders lead seasons 2 weeks ago and this was time for him to lead an actual convoy. He took the convoy from the beginning and took everyone to the end point Faya, without any stuck. This was fastest ever. When we finished with the Faya it was 8.45 Being fastest also gave us an advantage that our path was clear, we haven't seen other convoys. Mehmet was amazing but convoy was also as good as our lead. Time was too early to exit and i decide to take the lead and push the convoy`s limit so maybe i can get someone stuck Nope, even i took the fewbie convoy to some hard criss crosses no one got stuck. We only had few refusals. In half hour we found ourselves back to the Fossil Rock. Than we think about either go back to our meeting point or play around Fossil Rock. We decided to play around Fossil Rock and make some climbing contest. I pushed my car to highest in can climb at back of the Fossil Rock and challenged our drivers to catch me It was good exercise for everyone to see how they can improve their long climbs. Of course the Raptor dominated the climbing contest with reaching highest high. Thank you everyone for joining. You guys rocks! I will be going to Turkey for vacation. See you guys at 16 April.

  3. @Rahimdad is so gracious and good with words. As he recapped above, I could see the images of the day perfectly in my mind. You are a true steward of the sport, sir!πŸ™‚

  4. TRIP REPORT I'm humbled by all so many lovely comments even before I can post my trip report. Lovely morning ot was full of enthusiasm. As I rolled in with over 10 minutes to go, everybody had arrived ahead of me and were inflating and getting their flags up. So we had our convoy numbering revisited, got the radios checked and briefing delivered. We watched @sertac convoy move and dissappear quickly in front of our eyes. Today our challenge was not only the dunes but the many convoys we came across throughout our trip. As promised we started slow and easy to get everyone into the drive. This is also a sign for the Marshals to pick signs of strengths and weaknesses of the convoy. I was blessed to have a strong convoy as we could not have done all that we did if my convoy did not support me or share my vision. Turn up the difficulty level we did as much as we enjoyed the sideys in our play areas. Again our challenges included evading other convoys. We enjoyed a round each doing sideys on all 3 areas before they were invaded by other convoys and we left for our next challenge leaving the areas to other convoys. Crossing over the power lines to the other side our challenge was to climb the Fossil Rock. It's been 3 weeks I have been enjoying smooth sand on top, and 3 weeks been taking my convoys down in 4 Low and 1sr gear. But before we could head down, I was surprised to see @Ashy on top with the rear tire popped out from the inside. @Islam Soliman helped me out. We tried to pop the tire back in unsuccessfully, with no choice we has to remove the tire to notice the rim had bent from 2 places. We replaced it with the spare and were on our merry way. As we decided to up the challenge even further as we headed towards Faya via Camel Rocks. The challenges today were quadrupled just with so many convoys parked on the tracks where I had to detour for our convoy to follow me with dignity. Sure we had our share of refusals, but correct me @Ahmed Wagdy if I'm wrong, never saw a rope come out during the drive. The sense of pride as refusals turned in to a sense of a challenge to learn something new and put the teachings to practice. After we had overcome all challenges we were further pushed by more convoys on top of Faya. Undeterred one by one we had our cars screaming to the back of Faya. This is never easy even from the back side and moreover with a Newbie convoy with so many other convoys being unruly as they traversed up and down around the area. At this point I would like to add that I'm proud my convoy was intelligent and determined. Why do I say that? Easily because they knew when to stop, and when to find a safe window to come up. As we gathered another challenge was to cross a convoy stopped with people roaming outside their vehicles. Very much opposite of our convoy which abides by the Covid19 restrictions. All said the amazing sight was seeing a convoy of 12 Newbies on top of Faya. Only the second time I can say that. Take a bow as everybody applauds us. We headed down and took our chances to climb Faya by choice unlike Fosdil Rock which was a must. As the sun got hotter and more unbearable we headed our to inflate. This was not the end, but just a start to a wonderful weekend as we enjoyed learning and polishing our skills off-road with like minded people. It was @Jasim Khumi second time as my second lead. I was proud to hear from him how he is learning keeping a dynamic distance from me to cope with the instructions given by me over the radio. @Lakshmi Narasimhan with his beautiful Pajero which roared into the sands and just kept up with the convoy without breaking a single sweat. It was wonderful watching him handle his Pajero so well. Being back heavy we get to see some fishtailing, although handled well, still needs some polishing to avoid fishtailing as much as possible. The one name which echoed over the drive was @Roger K. With an LR3 which makes me skip a beat and as humble as he is, his real character would come out of the shadows as he pushed his LR3 and his vehicle obeyed his every command. Wonderful personality to be with and very high regards for @Roger K and his trusted LR3. @prajupramod seems to be a fan as it was not his first time out with me. Watching him grow and polish his skills week after week is so satisfying. As experienced individuals we can share our knowledge as per our experiences, but to see people following our instructions a path is very heartening. @Rawad Bahsas yet another fan who just puts a huge smile on my face. He pushes his beast to the limits and its always a pleasure to hear it grunt with all its might. Its wonderful to watch him develop and learn. Today he even excited me by collecting air miles as 2 of his wheels were off the ground. It is a wonder how you can get a 3 tonne vehicle to fly, but those interested can get in touch with @Rawad Bahsas to learn from the best. @Islam Soliman was my trusted center forward and such an assurance to have on my second drive in a row. Watching him drive a Yukon is such a pleasure and I can't wait for the day when I would be able to repay his favors to me. @Humayun Ghias sincere interest in the sport is evident as at this level he has already invested in a rope set. I was pretty impressed how he managed his vehicle and its very heartening to see. @WaYan from Mauritius, maybe its the accent which gets me. But who says a girl just needs to look pretty. She turned out to be just as tough as the yellow Jeep Wrangler she drives. I later realized her challenge was higher due to her heavy tires. But that is only came to my notice right towards the end. Her brave effort throughout the drive of not showing any weaknesses throughout. Bravo girl, you go, girl power. @I.M.Shousha Ψ₯Ψ³Ω„Ψ§Ω… أبوشوشة my second Islam for they day. Having done a Master Class with him I already have trust in him and his ability. I must acknowledge his confidence and good usage of all his learnings. I would recommend you to apply for your fewbie promotion. Time for you to grow further in the sport and pick up some new tricks. @luis mantecon although quiet, but that might be his lack to express himself in English. His eyes spoke more clearly to me as all he could express in words was he loved the drive. Well done buddy, I hear you, keeping rocking up and we love your positive energy you bring to the drives. @Ahmed Wagdy might be the last as he was my sweep, but just as important to the convoy as any one of us. I was pleasantly surprised to see a newbie step up and deliver what was required from him in sweep. His powerful FJ also had some air miles with all 4 tires in air. I wish I had my camera on to capture the moment, it looked very controlled and with any damages and that's what matters most. We all came with a smile in the morning and driving out after inflation with a wider smile. This drive was a testament as @Carnity not only growing big in numbers but in quality as we are blessed to have such amazing people sharing our ideas and growing within a structure which is fair to all.

  6. I was very lucky in having such a great convoy for my first leading. Very amazed with the performance of each single driver. Leading a convoy with zero stuck was a unique advantage for my start Experienced different skills in a single drive; - flying Jimnys and screaming big brothers (Raptor, F150) in the same convoy; congrats @Nathan Evans @Yahya Munir @Jack Thomas @Dodi Syahdar - first time i saw a Montero reaching up to Faya from the front; amazing @Jon M - no challenge but just a day to play for wranglers surfing on high dunes; big cheers @Pacific @Ranjan Das - taking full load of minor refusals with excellent instructions; thank you for your support buddy @Arda Yagcioglu ... and of course, @sertac supervising the route and full safety of the convoy, making everything smooth for my first leading. Thousands thanks my dear friend... Thank you all! See you on the next drive!

  7. Very happy @Ilya Golubinsky that the car didn’t suffer any issues other than the broken side mirror but even happier that you and your in-laws are all safe and I am more than impressed that they didn’t mind continuing the drive till we exited.. great spirit. I will second what Angela @Foxtrot Oscar shared over the radio about how good of an off-roader you are.. I always enjoyed driving with you and you are definitely an excellent driver.. no doubt.. however no one is safe from that split-second mistake hence the need for extreme and sharp focus for the full drive.. actually I committed that mistake twice today, the first one when I flew over that ridge to get on the other side and the second time while trying to recover @Mohamed Seidam X and miscalculated the power I need to give to get it out resulting in having both our cars with a stretched recovery rope in the middle.. thankfully I had the D-Shackle which saved the rope from being sacrificed... so as you correctly said, we all go into the desert with a clear understanding of the associated risks and we keep building our skills to continue avoid these unfortunate events from happening. as @Ale Vallecchi said it goes to the first thing we are all told and keep reminded of every time, no matter how good the driver is or mighty and powerful the car is, gravity always wins! finally, today was another heartwarming testimony for @Carnity ethics and values exemplified in how the recovery was orchestrated by@Ale Vallecchi and executed by everyone teaming together not sparing any effort or tool leading to safe and zero-damage recovery of the car.. wonderful team work... thanks all.

  11. Thanks @Kailas, @Jeepie for organizing this wonderful drive. Landscape scenery was astounding even though it was only sand and sand everywhere. I thought the drive would be leisurely in the beginning but it was very fulfilling in terms of scaling the dunes, ridge riding, criss crossing and side slopes. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. There was no moment when the drive was dull except for some minor mishaps like pop outs which included mine too. Thanks to all your good efforts the pop outs were fixed soon. Thank you @Kailas, @Jeepie, @Anish S & @Veedooshee for the efforts in helping me out to fix the pop out. Will definitely RSVP for your future drives @Kailas as I had all the fun I wished for in the desert. See you all soon again in the sands

  14. It was a great drive with lots of variety, mixture of terrain and pace. It was quite windy at some sections and the track was not that visible. It was an added challenge. I also had my first pop out experience during this drive. Special thanks to them for sorting out the pop out quickly @Kailas @Jeepie @Anish S @Veedooshee @Malachy McGrogan

  21. Amazing drive and perfectly executed as per your plan Luca ! @Miamimoe your positive can-do attitude goes a long way, looking forward to see you growing with us ! @Nihal17 and @Serafino with the Wranglers took the terrain with ease and drove great today ! @Federico De Chirico and @sheri with the Pajeros did great today. So as @Federico Galbieri who’s Grand Cherokee was letting him down a little bit but nevertheless drove perfect today. @soumyasaklani the Prado is an amazing off-road Machine and you drove it very well ! @Shehab Alawadhi you really rose to the occasion today and was a perfect center forward: always ready to help and with encouraging words for the team. Well done πŸ‘!! @amir amiri it was a blessing to drive behind that beautiful green Ram which you took effortlessly through today’s terrain ! @sheri please be aware we do not allow swapping drivers during the drive. This practice can lead to serious accidents and cannot be tolerated. Please have a look at below post: see you guys soon back in the sands !

  22. @Foxtrot Oscar thank you for your lovely message and for the amazing 2nd lead. It was very reassuring for me to know that you had my back. Perfect distance for an extreme drive. Very smart and prompt decisions. Excellent communication. Everyone could feel that you are a very experienced drive leader. And yes it was so nice to drive with you after a looong time. I missed that! After Asif’s drive cancellation, I had the pleasure to see my dear friend @Kalahari back into our drive, in what was maybe the more difficult convoy position in those soft sands, in sweep right after @Francois Germishuys F150. We were blessed to have very strong and sensible drivers who always copped perfectly with the pace (32 km/h average speed for all the drive, with max speed at 82 km/h) . Thank you @Craig Finlayson, @Ilya Golubinsky, @Francois Germishuys! It was very fun!

Thanks @Janarthan @Tbone for leading us through this lovely terrain - two diff leading styles in one ride made it even better .@Abu Muhammad @Hisham MasaadMasaad thanks for your support through the trip.. It was first dive through this area and it was super.fun over those ridges... Forgot to add that electric Jack and wrench was really cool, something I would surely go for, especially as we approach summer.time... @Hisham Masaad do share link if you find it. @Frederic any thoughts on the same? I think it's this one https://www.amazon.ae/dp/B07YZ7HHP6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_C05HR807SBEP9PNNM0JE @Hisham Masaad can confirm

  34. Triple rope recovery by @Wrangeld.. From Al Faqaa drive today. Clear cut instructions and perfect execution by Richard! Very well done πŸ‘. The whole patch was super soft and I had to deflate further to cross that. Thanks to @imranaasghar81 for reminding me to check my tire pressure. While this recovery was happening, you can see another recovery in the background by another convoy. They had to recover the same car twice back to back from the same spot 🀣
