  5. Thanks @M.Seidam & @Gaurav, for your care and Advice. I started the NB drives with the JGC, and i am aware of the risk on the Radiator and i will remove the front Facia for that specific reason, I will follow your advice and join the AN Convoy with @Gauravfor more safe and enjoyable trip. @Mehmet Volga thanks in advance for removing me from your convoy, will join the AN convoy.

  6. Take extreme caution Haitham , if you don’t have a bash plate , as the radiator is too low in JGC and so delicate to trivial bumps . Ask me about it . Alternatively take the direct route straight to the gathering area

  7. @LKP @Verghese George and @karlsberg welcome to carnity off-road club. As you all are an absolute newbie to sand, so we will use the flat track area to visit first Oryx farm and Gazelle farm and then head to the gathering point. For the rest of the joinees we are splitting all attendees into 3 convoys led by Fredy, Kailas and Mehmet. They will be posting their convoy numbering and meeting point by end of the day today.

  8. GO NIGHT GO TECH Wanna drive night , dare to go technical … actually that’s what the friends did to day in such a lovely evening . Unleashing the power of our senses to keep the line and pace and when ever I got trapped in soft pockets my second lead and sweep spared no effort to double or even triple the rope in length and β€œ winch β€œ me out in no time while the rest exercised in shaveling clearing a sand wall here and there not forgetting the key man instructor directing the show in synchrony when the recoveries were in execution. .. guys you all rocked today πŸ‘ŒπŸ’ͺπŸ™ @Simon D @Tareq Al Turq @Senthil Kumar @Waqas Parvez @ASAD. and @Karthik Raptor It was a pleasure driving with all of you gents thanks for joining the drive and you took it amazingly well . wish you all good weekend ahead take care Seidam

  15. Dear Desertnauts, after a flurry of last-minute drops from the drive, it looks like we'll have a perfect sized convoy (7 cars in total) to push the drive to as close to a higher level as possible. We'll leave from the proximity of Lisaili's practice camel tracks, move along the pylon track to reach a point of entry beyond the track's fence, and, after passing through a small, but sometimes treacherous, technical area, we'll enter the first long range dunes. We'll alternate, as we move along, between long range open dunes, sabkhas and lower and more compact dune areas. We may loop back toward Lisaili, in case we move fast enough and have enough time once we reach thew outskirts of Solar Park (at the Three Trees area), or just exit at Solar Park. The convoy's positions will be: @Ashutosh Garg in Second Lead @Sam K at #3 @Daniel Rodas at #4 @Arda Yagcioglu in #5 @Yusuf Esaf at #6, and @James Thorn in Sweep. The Carnity radio channel will be #2 (446031). See you all tomorrow morning, looking for a speedy departure as close to 7:30 AM as possible. Have a great Friday evening.

  16. Thank you @M.Seidamfor the great drive, especially with a great leader, you were our mentor and taught us how to act with critical refusals and V pockets, we all enjoyed the drive yesterday even though I didn't realize that we passed the time by 30 min until you announce that. Especial thanks to our great support team @Simon D , @Waqas Parvez and @Karthik Raptorfor their support and guidance, and happy to meet @ASAD.and @Senthil Kumar again after long time. Have a nice weekend all of you, and appreciate @M.Seidam if possible to arrange a weekly ride like this every Thursday.

  18. We request every member that joins this drive to go through the below information and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquettes and responsibilities. MUST READ AND COMPLY Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities Drive Details Level: Fewbie Plus and above Meeting time: 7:30 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: Near the single lane camel track at Lisaili Dropped pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/yFFzpSNziFLhBd1HA Approximate finish time: 11:00 AM Action Plan: Lisaili is the home of Dubai's race camel farms, as well as the place where they train, on the circuit track, or the straight track. All along most of the Lisaili's plateau one can easily find camel tracks or run into herds or trains of these lanky animals. Inspired by a famous off-road race (The Camel Trophy), we'll exploit this wonderful area of camel farming and training to do our own training and racing across the dunes. As camels do, we'll move along, up, and over the yellow/white dunes of Lisaili, steadily and patiently overcoming all obstacles, until we'll be satisfied that we've had our fair share of "pasture". After practicing last week with a Fewbie drive, this session will be an upgraded, faster version of that one, exploring the deeper reaches of Lisaili. Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit and fire extinguisher. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE This drive is limited to 10 cars only. If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list. RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list. Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions. Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions. Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others. Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month. PLEASE RSVP ON THE CALENDAR

  23. Ford Expedition is way too heavy for some dunes, but overall it's much better than Explorer. However, if you know off-roading Expedition is quiet capable on big dunes, due to the powerful engine. I had a friend who used to drive Expedition for good 2 years and nothing wrong happened except the side airbag popped on the higher level drive (he cud've pulled the fuse).

  24. @Imteeaz thank you for the detailed clarification, and after going through all posts i am pretty convinced to have an old 4x4 for off road experience and keep the daily use car and off road car separately. I will look for options and meanwhile start a newbie using the explorer may be

  25. LC300 is indeed very capable off-road and on-road 4X4. You cannot go wrong with that choice, surely. As Fredy mentioned, big front bumper (which is much better than before LC200) you need to watch closely at a higher level of drive and not bash hard on every dune.

  26. Hi @Abdul Mueed Mohammed welcome to the club ! I would expect the LC300 with twin turbo to be a very capable offroader. @Michel Van Woudenberg drives one and can perhaps chip in. The main issue might be the massive front bumper.
