    Dear Desertnauts

    let's gear up for tomorrow's drive. We'll leave from an unusual meeting point, in front of the National Guard's barracks, just off E14, on Ghantoot's side. From there, after roaming in search of oryx just north of our entry point, we'll drive parallel to the highway, in the direction of Faqa. With this, we'll cross interesting low dune formations, separated by mud-rock formations, we'll coast along the military shooting ground (rounding its south-western corner), to reach Little Sweihan, where we'll zig-zag our way to the tip of this dune field, then we'll cross a couple of sabkhas, alternating with more technical terrain, to reach the Faqa plateau, before arriving at the planned exit point.

    The drive will alternate places where we can speed up considerably, to others where we'll need to thread more carefully, either due to high dunes of soft sand, or because of the tightness of the terrain.

    At the moment the convoy order looks like this:

    @Gertjan in Second Lead

    @Trekadoat #3

    @Gurcharan Mehta #4

    @Charbel at the Center

    @Batuhan Kulac at #6

    @Tareck #7

    @Imteeaz #8, and

    @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler in Sweep.

    The Carnity Radio Channel of choice will #4 (446081). Kindly reach the meeting point with a bit of time to spare, to leave as close to 7:00AM as possible. Finally, please come with a full tank.

    Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

    Hi Ale do i still have chance to join?

    Dear Desertnauts

    while the weather seems to have gotten in the way of a scorching trial this weekend, we'll still do our best to enjoy the cooler spell among the dunes. We don't expect this drive's theme to change into The Big Chill. So we'll warm up by crossing from Solar Park to Little Sweihan, we'll bring up the temperature of the drive a notch, by navigating the soft, tall and tight dunes of this triangular shaped formation just north of the eponymous AD area, and will keep the drive hot by speeding through the Faqa plateau, before reaching our exit.

    The convoy, truly quite an experienced one, will line up as follows:

    @Zixuan Huang - Charlie in Second Lead

    @ASAD. at #3

    @Waqas Parvez #4

    @Davie Chase at #5

    @Simon Dawood #6

    @Thomas Varghese at Center Forward

    @Vaibhav will be #8

    @Zed #9

    @Daniel Yang at #10, and

    @Chinthaka Ruwan in the Sweep position.

    The radio channel will be chosen before starting the drive. In the meantime, enjoy the evening, and stay cool.

    Thanks @Zed

    @Daniel Yang, no I didn't, the other guy with the Y60 won the Patrol. True the skids plates in the market that installs below your bumper are useless, they don't give any extra clearance, you will end up hitting the rear on every technical dune.

    Oh sorry for hear that, i thought they are giving 3 new patrol as prize. What's your next ride for desert?

    man i wish i had waited 3 months 😂... installed mine in November to avoid the duct-taped / "hash-tag" Y62 bumper issue . Tag other Y62 owners @Daniel Yang , @Humayun Ghias

    I had a rubbish aluminum rear skid plate fabricated by xxxx but i am driving my Y61 more often than Y62. I believe some stock newbie Y62 must needs those advanced setup.

    @Lawrence_ChehimiHave you won the new patrol?
