Srikumar
@Nitin Mohan @Vinojps @Arshad Roojee @Shyam Karat @Nathan Evans @Luca Bregni @Vijaysekhar @Prabuddha Madusanka @bassel el rafei @Atif @belal hadi As we are less than 24 hours from the start of the drive, here is a brief of what we plan to do tomorrow: PREPARATION FOR THE DRIVE AND WHAT TO EXPECT 1) Please ensure that you reach the meeting point on time, i.e., 6:00 AM sharp. A little early would be better. If you are late, you would be left behind. 2) The senior members on the drive are me and @Vanessa8580 3) We will be using Carnity Channel 4 tomorrow. (446.08125 Mhz). The instructions to program the radio are provided in the below post. Please ensure that you have a fully charged and programmed radio before the drive. We are not carrying spare radios for this drive. 4) All traction controls, ABS and Air bags need to be switched off. If it requires pulling the fuse, please do the needful. Incase of any queries you can always ask the senior members before the drive or better still, post your queries on this drive post and we would assist. 5) Please ensure you have a flag, pressure gauge, deflator and a radio as a minimum. If you have a compressor, it would be excellent as currently the air compressor at the last Exit (ADNOC) is not functioning. You would then have to borrow a compressor from someone or alternatively drive down to ENOC gas station which is about 15 kms away on deflated tyres. 6) For highway tyres you can deflate to 15 psi. Those who have AT tyres, you can deflate to 13 psi. 7) Feel free to ask questions at any time. 😎 Convoy Numbering will be posted after 7 pm today evening. We shall be starting the drive from the South Qudra side from where we would be entering the long range dunes. We will be driving for about 3.5 hours practicing driving in sand, proper steering control, crossing some dunes, and getting you and your vehicle more familiarized with the desert. By 10:00 am we will be heading out towards the Qudra parking. 3

Luca Bregni
Hi @Srikumar , I am about to buy a compressor and I would like to ask for your advice. Do you think that the one in the attached photos is enough powerful? I have a jeep wrangler JK.

Give it enough time to rest so it will not overheat. 1 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further."

The life of a compressor depends on how long you run it hot.

It should be available in Dragon Mall. Smaller compressors take much longer to inflate and will heat up quicker.
Luca Bregni
Alright , got it. I think I'll go for a more powerful one. I'll check in dragon mart. Thank you @Srikumar @Frederic @Atif see you tomorrow
