Morning Fewbie Plus Desert Drive - Murquab - Technical Terrain Transit - Part 3/3 - Dubai - 18 Jun 2022

Recommended Posts

Dear Dune Surfers,

This drive is Part 3 of 3 Skill Drive Series in which we would be focusing on the skill of Navigating the Technical dunes!

Part 1 - Ridge Rider Republic – Al Qudra – 21 May 2022 - Completed!

Part 2 - Criss Cross Country  – Faqa - 28th May 2022 - Completed!

Part 3 -  Technical Terrain Transit - Its happening NOW !!!

The drives are for Fewbie Plus and above only as we believe at this level you are well aware of your car, your driving style in sync with your car for these drives to learn, challenge and improve albeit safely. Please watch out for the subsequent parts in coming weeks and join in as per your availability.

For the final Part of the Skill Drive Series ( Chapter 1) we will be Transiting through the "Technical Terrain" between Muraqaba and Qudra.  This drive is going to be slow paced drive as we would be navigating tight dune formations and finding the best path to get in and out. we would occasionally free up our engines going all out on some long range dunes for a breather!

We will be taking the shortest route from Murquab towards Qudra, which means we will be driving around Solar park area technical patches in safest way possible.

Drive Time is expected to be 3 hours

We will aim to get out of the dunes by 8.45 am however be prepared for some adventure!

Technical drives are more demanding in terms of attention / steering and throttle control. This is the game of 2000!

Make sure you come with a full tank, Car in good conditions, recovery gear for this level (Radio, Flag, Deflator, Compressor, Kinetic rope and Soft shackles). Recovery points should be checked and in good conditions.

It is preferable for the cars to have a front bash plate (6mm or more) to keep the radiator protected, if not it is at your own risk to join.

These type of dunes that you bring one wheel on it and the rear still didn’t leave the previous one ( spider march ) . Love them a lot 🤣

@Gaurav Sonithat's one of the most technical areas, with some of the tightest dunes I have seen. Especially the beginning. Get ready for a lot of bouncing around 😅😎

That’s the plan ! Face the worst fears head on and be victorious! Of course we will have challenges on the way but mentally we will come out stronger!
