I have never thought that I will be able to drive on sand, but loved to drive at least one day. But today it has come true to a level I do drive minimum 2 days in a week. Thanks to every one in the @Carnity family (All the marshals, leads, advisors, support team, co drivers, co pilots and friends) for carrying me along this point. Inspirations from every corner of the dune helped me to take this hobby/sport very serious. I see my self improved a lot as an individual in the following key areas 1. Respecting the time 2. Care for the fellow person 3. Communicating with my team 4. Attention to details I would like to thank all the leads@Ale Vallecchi, @Anish S, @Chaitanya D, @Emmanuel, @Foxtrot Oscar, @Frederic, @Gaurav, @Islam Soliman, @Janarthan, @Kailas, @Lorenzo Candelpergher, @Luca Palanca Falsini, @Mehmet Volga, @Rahimdad, @Srikumar, @Tbone, @Vanessa8580, @Wrangeld who had lead my drives till date and those whom I would join in my future drives who are instrumental in making me learn this art. My first ever baby step on sand with @Frederic and the latest pic with friends taken on Saturday, what a wonderful journey, its all registered deep down in my memory. Thank you all for being part of this wonderful journey and being my well wisher.

@Lakshmi Narasimhan I still remember this cautious fellow arriving with the brand new Pajero, eager to learn, and full of questions. Looking forward a couple of months and your dedication has really paid off. The sand bug has really bitten you and I have seen a massive progress in your skills and the way you handle your ride. I was using a pedal commander for my Pathfinder for considerable amount of time. It does give you the kick in response of the throttle, and I could almost fully control the gears by manipulating the throttle pedal that I didn't have to use the shifter knob. And you can easily switch the throttle responses from aggressive weekend offroad to comfort SZR cruising. TBH I like it, I only stopped using it as I might still have throttle control body issue and I don't want the petal commander to create more possible issues with the throttle.

Hi @Gok Krish, I had a similar problem twice with my Jeep some weeks ago; the engine cutoff power all of a sudden and unexplainably. Once while attempting a hill climb and the second while dashing through a sabka. The RPM just wouldn't go above 3.5k. it was surely hot and this happened towards the end of the drives. Though in my case there was no white smoke and i could drive the Jeep at lower rpm. By the time i was heading home after inflating, she was all fine again, accelerating properly even beyond 3.5k Took it to the workshop, Diagnostics didn't throw up any error though they did find some problem with the oil pump. Since its a major repair, the workshop only serviced the pump assembly and asked me to see if the problem reoccurred before deciding next course of action - thankfully for me, it hasn't. Hope yours was a freak incident as @Gaurav mentioned and nothing serious.

@Gok Krishi'm not an expert but did you check your coolant and engine oil? Is there any sign of water mixing with oil or did the coolant level decrease? As these are the main sings of a blown head gasket. Also Was it really a white smoke, not greyish or blueish smoke? I have a feeling it is an engine misfiring issue, might be due to faulty ignition coil or a faulty injector...

Clearly, Trading Ents were not there - but all of us on the drive on Saturday saw the problem, and the white plumes of smoke out of the car when you restarted. With the greatest of respect to our esteemed engineerings colleagues, there was clearly something wrong with the car and you needed to bring it into the shop. What are the potential issues? Engine cuts off when it overheats to protect the engine/gearbox/transfer case? Unlikely as Jeeps are know to overheat. An over expended compenent that puts the engine out of kilter? Unlikely ae the engine runs at high temperatures and under stress more often than not. Crank shaft position (not the sensor) - would have led to vibrations. Fuel pump would not cause the vibrations we saw. Also unlikely to result in the smoke that was white - looked like cylinder head gasket had gone at the time. Did they put it on the computer and run diagnotics - the chip should be telling them what went wrong.

@Gok Krishnow that is a frustrating report back from the garage. what I can also share is a few of us also noticed a short period of white smoke coming out of the exhaust. It wasn’t expelling smoke for long however certainly didn’t look a natural exhaust colour. I’ll allow the mechanics of the forum to comment more with this added reference. good luck getting this sorted ASAP so you don’t have to miss many/any drives

Time to clear the air. I was super impressed to see that every one here got the correct point and said this roll cage isn't safe without the thick padding. Any roll cage is NOT AT ALL safe without the thick padding, as it will split open the skull. Unless driver is wearing a helmet all the time. I was shocked to see this "Show Car" from one of the top off-road garages with two spare tires strapped in cargo bed for apocalypses days BUT with number plate. God knows whether it was work in progress or finished job, as I have seen this parked in another top shop recently. Well done @Lawrence_Chehimi to point out first. @Niki and @Hisham Masaad good observation to point roll cage on dashboard, but it could be possible that it has support from underneath which we don't see it from outside. If its not supported then it's meaningless and will crush dashboard and windscreen and cause extensive damage than offering any level of protection. @Rawad and @JamesThorn excellent observation for A, B and C pillar support. I too worked for 12 years with Oil and Gas upstream company and know how strict HSE boys are for these safety issues. @Chaitanya D As per RTA, anyone can get permission to install roll cage but with properly padded version and not just plain metal bars like above. Very similar to safari companies roll-cage but for personal or commercial use and still be street legal. @topgear you are right for safari and similar use passenger and driver head is protected. These types are usually used in racing applications as part of stage 1 safety modifications to be used with helmet at all times but without number plate. @Arman true such tubular rock crawling roll cages aren't street legal here in UAE and even in most other countries and these boys load these toys on trailer for playtime.
