Today i wanna share a very rare experience that i think no one have it before. I reached to my fewbie drive today the same location but wrong timing. after reaching i checked again and found out that timing has been changed last night and convoy already left. I was about to leave and saw someone from another Desert Group coming toward me, we had a small chat he offer me to join his group for today. well it’s fine for me. they have 22 cars splitted in 3 group and different level of drive. i introduce myself as a Carnity member. So instead of going back home i joined their Newbie group (i have no idea about their other level). Their plan is to cross the Pink Rocks and down to the Big Red at the exit. it was going smooth until the Pink Rocks then a Pajero got refusal when climbing to Pink Rocks, (Radiator leaked) so the marshal anyhow got fixed it temporary and with 2 vehicle they took it to the exit. so we stopped (7 cars including me). we wait around 1hr and no response, then i came to know all 5 drivers are absolute new, they never been in the desert. i was like 😳. and top of that the Marshal who took the Pajero out is unreachable in communication. no one having his alternate mobile number. I was about to call the @Gaurav Bhai for help because i know one of the Carnity convey is nearby, but i don’t wanna disturb their drive. So i gather them and give a short exit drive brief, I analys the track because i know the radius of Pink Rocks sand are soo soft, i know the area around, i calm them down, (it’s like motivation speech), re arranged the convey and mark the shortest exit on my Map. 1: Blue Xterra, 2: FJ black, 3, Red Xterra, 4: FJ White and 5: FJ Black. the 5th driver have some experience on desert drive so i placed him at SL. then i led them smoothly to the exit. in between we got few refusals and stucks but made it finally. at the end they don’t even have a Air Compressor, they don’t have radio. so me self and one FJ guy help them to inflate. they are cursing them like hell. then the Marshal called up one of the person saying that “sorry my mobile had some issue, plz wait for more 40 mins, i will take you out” he replying him that i don’t wanna share here (🤬🤬🤬.. ) They thanks me a lot at the end, i introduce the Carnity and their drives, i explained them how we drive and way to join Carnity. so maybe all 6 of them will join the Carnity next week (Absolute Newbie). I missed my drive today but gained the rare experience. what i learned until from Carnity it’s really worked today.

After all we did see sheep, goats, camels, and donkeys 😃 see you all soon in the sand again ! I posted some photos of a classic car center I came across in Falaj Al Mualla on the way home. Definitely nice to see these old Land Rover any other Classics from this Emirati collector.

Hello All thank you for the drive today, something really funny happened today someone with an Xterra, was standing far away on top of the dune while helping the guys, he saw me holding the camera and asked me in arabic to turn on his car ...... and I thought why would this guy ask me to turn on the car! .... but i thought he wanted to keep the radiator running so i went and turned on his car , after a while I realised that he was asking me to take a picture of his car not turn on his car, in arabic its just a single letter in the same word that is different.... so appologies LOL.... anyway I uploaded some pictures more pictures here.....

Dear Friends @Davie Chase @James Thorn @Chris Wing @MMansoor @Charbel @Joe Biju Joseph @Anoop Nair @Daniel Yang and @Rajiv Sam What a beautiful morning to start with and it was still dark west and barely the streak of the not yet sun rise could be appreciated. by the time we were done our eastern pointed car noses were just ready to let go. DCT Loop Track As I mentioned before the main aim was never breaking the record more than simulating the the best track and to live the challenges. considering we were a total of ten car convoy and the few refusals , crests/stucks and the technicality of more than half of the terrain i would say that really every one drove well , reacted well and mostly i hope enjoyed it as i did my self. just for the info the track from start till end we managed to cross 38 km with a moving time of one hour and 46 min and a stopped time of 35 min with an average speed of 16 km/h and a moving speed of 21 km/h Post DCT Drive we had almost one hour before the finish time and as planned we took a blast safely and i hope it was the best reward i could do ending our drive in the love lakes enjoying the water and the green while inflating. the stat of this last one was one hour of driving. 6 min stopped time with a moving speed of 25km/h and a pace of 2:38 min/km @Chris Wing it was pleasure meeting first time and you were excellent in the position of the second lead @Rajiv Sam and @James Thorn congrats again for the promotion and considering its your first IM drive guys you rocked today well done. @H3 Joe was not bad at all especially after awhile, you drove good. nice to meet you too. @Charbel you were about to miss the action but eventually you made it , pleasure seeing today my friend. @Daniel Yang and @MMansoor i believe guys you were enjoying in the back churning up the sand, kidding offcourse, you were excellent. @Davie Chase and @Anoop Nair in the center and sweep respectively thank you guys for all the help when ever was needed . its always pleasure driving with you guys . well done. Although the drive was bit delayed due to the fog, we finally made to the Badayer side as planned with good mix of terrain and couple of nice climbs 😀 Good to see some new & familiar faces, look forward to seeing you all in the sand again very soon. So far I am finding the bottle jack is the best option. Still searching for one with double lift cylinder. Mush more compact in size and weight.

Thanks you all for joining the drive. It was good to see new faces. Fayah is one of my favorite terrain that has some beautiful bowl and the terrain lets you keep going without surprise bumps. Soon after starting we were able to push the pace. Then began a series of stucks and refusals. I was always concerned about driving against the direction of sun. In this case I had to plan it that way to reach the Oasis; normally I tend to drive away from sun. Mixing the FB's with FB+/ IM drivers worked well. @Willie & @Haitham Khattab Fantastic job on your 1st Fewbie. @Andrew McCarthy, @Warren Flay, @Naveen Raj, @Amr Aydin, @Joseph Raju& @Richard Franks Thanks for your splendid support My next plan for this area is to find a different exit route from the Oasis to avoid the long dusty track. @Abdul Basit Khan very sad to hear that you've been left inside the desert without any help. In such emergencies, you could've reached me at least, rather than leading yourself out that could have been more catastrophic, truly. Really glad nothing serious happened and you've helped others too. Btw, drive timing changed two days back.

Thanks @Brette for the drive, especially the second half approaching Big Red when you raised the game and challenged the convoy on the soft sand. The three consecutive pop outs at the same spot (with the exit point well in sight!) is unprecedented but as mentioned, was a great experience to see how different pop outs can be tackled. Thanks to you and @Looper and all others for helping with these! I'll try and get the footage from the dashcam to see how this occurred, and if successful will post back the clip here.

I have this one 2.5 tons ordered it from Amazon and I used it several times from first IM drive till now .. no issues at all i find it the best of the two world between compactness 2 ton versions and heavy duty less handy to transport 3 tons monster 😄

It was my first drive with @Brette since 20 Nov 2020. When we were reaching the meeting point, it was clear but soon a layer of fog descend. We started the drive but as the conditions soon become not so conducive for safe driving we took a halt for sometime till the fog lifted, soon we had our first pop out of the day. After we reached near the pink rock we moved towards big red. While initially all was smooth just before the exit we found ourselves with 3 back to back pop outs and a stuck. Luckily the temperatures were still bearable and thanks to @Brette all pop outs were fixed and we exited. Overall a nice experience for all involved in both driving as well as in for recovery. All in all everyone drove quite well and hopefully enjoyed the drive as well. I can say I did. @Krishna R you need to get rid of those HT tires and have some ATs on your car. They are really pulling you back due to lack of traction, and hence the refusals. Suggest you go for 1-2 more newbie drives to get acquainted with the new shoes on your ride. @TT_Dubai you were excellent as the second lead, thanks a lot. Finally a big thanks to @Brette for a great drive today and hopefully many more to come in the future with you.

Got a work around for pumping up at the gas station. I have bought air chucks off the Amazon and when I put them on I am able to use the petrol pump air stations to air up the car.

Dear All, Pre-drive details below: 1- Please be on time and bring all your passion for off-roading and pull as much as you can of yourself out of bed.. trust me you will need all of it. 2- Be at the meeting point by 6:30am (or before) and be ready to move max by 6:45max (deflated, flag erected, 4H on, radio on and set, airbags/traction/abs all set....) 3- Please ensure your programable radio is on, fully charged and set to Channel 2 (446,031) 4- Briefing will be done on on the sand before we start moving 5- Please be prepared for a demanding drive which you will require your undivided attention. @Kailas we should be nicknaming you 'The Michael Bay of Carnity' (every drive you plan seems to be an action thriller stacked with bad actors and a lame ending ha ha). So, this weeks matinee drama was "Carnity on Faya" a long and twisting story about white sand and sweeping dunes punctuated by plenty of intermissions for stucks, refusals and pop outs. Great fun for all and all set in a beautiful backdrop with fine warm weather. It started well, got fast in the middle and then crashed to an ending best described as... interesting. Nice to meet new people who I haven't driven with and you all acquitted yourselves brilliantly. Special mention to @Andrew McCarthyfor the laughs and the entertainment and to @Willie for driving the second best car in the event. BRRM BRRM!

Apologies I had to drop myself out, my car is still at service and not gonna be ready by tomorrow unfortunately. Enjoy the ride.

I settled with this: - JZX 2T Low-Profile jack - 2in thick wooden jack board (probably will eliminate the need for an extension) - Incase an extension is required, I plan to use that wooden cube, placed between the jack and the car body. (It was suggested by the jack retailer, what would you say about this?)
