@M.Seidam what a wonderful way to end this weekend - since the start the drive was promising, with all members being eager to 'hit' the dunes. Following through your tracks was not an easy task, with soft sand and lots of technical terrain. The ride up the dunes was fun though; i could feel your anxiety to ensure that we all follow 'exactly' your tracks. THANK YOU Doc. for keeping us excited during the entire drive. @Daniel Yang i hope that you are feeling better now mate - i just read on couple of other whatsapp groups that other drivers have been experiencing motion sickness as well.... @Looper you always bring this sense of responsibility to all of us - 'don't drive like it is your last drive'. This resonates deeply with me (and i believe for all) whenever we venture out in the desert. @Davie Chase i am sure that you were smiling while i was struggling to keep up with the pace. thank you for being patient with me mate. @Imran Kashif even with your passengers, you drove amazingly well mate. it was fun to follow you. @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler we will be definitely lost without you, while Doc was rushing in front. your judgement in terms of keeping a proper distance between yourself and Doc was great. @Tom B last but not least - always fun to share our experience dealing with garages mate. i have been working on your advice to keep the RPM below the cut-off limit when climbing the dunes; i still need to practice in coming weeks. I am also looking into 'maybe' an ECU tune - lets see. I look forward to seeing the same gang on Sunday. Until then, enjoy your week. Cheers

Thank you @JeromeFJ for another wonderful drive. This was the toughest in my new car so far, as I am new to the level and had previously been third in the last couple of drives. This time, once I learned to leave a bit more space between myself and the car in front, I had more options over controlling my momentum. My thanks again to my team mates for the tugs. As for my pop out, I had a further THREE on another drive yesterday! Looks like 18" rims on AT tyres are not going to cut it for my current skill level, so I'm going smaller and looking at bead grip too. Thank you to the team for a pit-stop level fix! Just want to give a shoutout to @Gerrit Bus- you calmly and you skilfully avoided anyone getting hurt in a split second situation caused by the other convoy cutting off your dune climb. My heart was in my throat. It reminds me that I really was lucky to start with this club because our leaders prioritise skill and safety while having fun, rather than silly stunts and showboating. Thanks again all.

May the sun in your life never set May it always rise high and above With a convoy as great as we had yesterday, we probably could keep driving all night till early morning. We set off from the Faqa sabkha after a short briefing and headed off into the typical Faqa terrain. The lonely trees, shrubs, and other vegetation is hugged by glorious dunes, tall or small. For some of you this was probably your first FB level drive, and even better the first one that's partially in the dark. As you noticed, once it gets dark, the senses work totally differently, and you have to be much more aware of every obstacle on your path. With the brilliant help of @munkybiznessand @Simon Dawoodwe were invincible and carved our way through sometimes very tight patches. All of you drove really well ! @Tom V your second lead was fantastic, shame about the shredded tyre on the way out, but alas i guess this was the desert trying to keep us @Sayed Bilal @Yaseen87@premindra rajaram@Feras_Sh@Harshal looking for more adventures with you all ! You guys drove great ! We covered some good distance, but honestly i cared much more for the break times in-between where we could enjoy the fantastic scenery and have a chat with each other. Coming out of Covid and finally being able to socialize again is so precious. To all my Hindu, Sikh, or Jain friends, i wish you all a Happy Diwali 2022 ! See you all soon in the sands again !

Thank you dear friends for making the day so fantastic from the start till the end appreciate you punctuality despite the long distance you drove to the meeting point which speaks out loud about your passion and camaraderie🙏 heading toward the rising sun enjoying the initial loops and twisty was of a good smooth warming up after which we took the pylon track to enter the desert again crossing and looping along the gravity in a crescendo pace as the dunes where getting larger and taller reminded me of little Sweihan but multiplied by 3 😅. The dunes where long range in a time and a lazy S shaped ridges which gave us a thrill riding them along their top. For a while the radio was silent letting the focus and enjoyment a hallmark sign of the drive till @Daniel Yangannounced that he started not to feel well. After a gentle break he preferred to exit from almost midway drive and luckily the track took him straight away to from where we started and was confirmed later by a phone call . Where every one too a turn enjoying its super soft sidy in safe manner existing the bowl heading to the track as planned and on the way we did continuous ridge riding and criss crossing till the content of our hearts Along the trip we encountered few crests and refusals which gave us an opportunity to stretch our bodies😅 @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler Your second lead was superb gave me the freedom to navigate especially in some tight areas. I would not go for beadgrip, this is not necessary in my opinion. What you need is a good all terrain tyre with decent high profile, and 17" rims. You'll see most people in the club with this combo and it works great. 265/65/17 Yokohama Geolandar tyres will be around 450-500 AED each from what i recollect. Good Luck !

Thank you all for joining the drive yesterday. We had a great time exploring this area of Nahel. After the technical warm-up, the first portion of nice rolling dunes was just beautiful. Smooth slopes, gradually building up to a big dune. still some soft sand patches, bumps and pockets were spread around, as a reminder to keep the focus in any conditions. A pop-out of @Jessica Lambert was fixed in record time with an excellent team work. On the way down to the sabkha, @Beide Worku noticed weird noises from the front axle, and wisely asked to exit early. Using sabkha and tracks I took him back to the starting point, and we were ready for the second set, crossing to the E16 Sweihan Rd. Again we started with a nice set of rolling dunes, higher than the first ones, and in a deeper desert environment. We were lucky enough to watch a falcon enjoying his breakfast prey, and of course the more common camels. Again the dunes were building up on our way to the West, until we reached the majestic slopes of Nagrah dune. Circling around the massive dunes, we found some play areas, to get a good feel of height and big slopes, despite the cross tracks and the other turbulent convoys. Time passing we made our way to the exit, through a challenging set of climbs in the soft sand where you all impressively followed your lines, until we reached the exit track. Well done everyone in this terrain apparently not so difficult, but requiring a continuous attention, and for controlling you momentum in the bigger climbs. Big thank you to @Zixuan Huang - Charlie and @Charbel for the support and the few tugs, @Chris Wing, always very reliable 2nd lead, @Imran Kashif, always helping also when a car is stuck. @Salim Akhtar, very well driven, @Jessica Lambert, you are getting used to your new car, in a few drives, you will make the most of it. @Gerrit Bus, always nice to have you, I hope your passengers will remember the good part of it. @Beide Worku, sad you had to exit early, but I see you participated on a drive the day after, so I guess the damage to your car was resolved. The best drive till date for me!!! Why? The speed we were moving and the scenic views.....never been to Faqa before but it was amazing! I still have get used to night driving such different experience. A special thanks to @Fredericfor making this ride happen and your half desert stories, truly amazing. And to our SUPER HEROES @munkybiznessand @Simon Dawood for helping everyone out. You guys made such huge difference! I admire your patience and dedication, kudos!

Dear Freinds Sweihan Drives III is a continuation from the previous serires I and II where the difficulty and complexity of the drive is the hallmark where focus, concentration and nerves from steel are pre request if you choose this drive. Along the iterinery we will come into across the Tallest dune in Sweihan ;NAGRAH as well as the famous Old Lady Dune further south east Inshallah. these two areas are qiute famouse to all offroaders and sometimes can be crowded. lets hope we will be lucky next week as the season started hitting , and find a way to enjoy it safely. Warnings 💀 Please note the following for your and others safety as its the most imprortant : It is highly recommend not to bring passengers with you whom are known to develope motion sickness or are afraid of heights ( its realy very high ). I strongly advise you not to choose this drive if its your first intermediate one. Thank you @Islam Soliman and team for your support and patience in what was a somewhat frustrating drive for me- three popouts (after another only the day before)! On the good advice of my teammates I have requested quotes for smaller rims and am also looking at bead grip for good measure. Thank you all for the incredibly efficient fixes. My friend remarked on the comraderie and team spirit and I was proud to tell him that this is the culture of this club. Thanks @Beide Worku for the tip on that jack, it is at the top of my Christmas letter to Santa. Good to see you back on track after Saturday!

Thank you @Looper You are correct it’s the 4d JL Sport , sounds like a better bumper is in our future, it’s currently retained on one side with zip ties the other side will be next.. until we have a better solution. The connection points where the plastic bumper connects to the metal bracket on each end seems to be a particular weakness that easily breaks. thanks again Cc. @Benjamin
