  1. You will be missed @Hisham Masaad , every drive was a pleasure with you. I really appreciated all the advice and patience you gave @Benjamin In the words of Bob Dylan May your hands always be busy May your feet always be swift May you have a strong foundation When the winds of changes shift May your heart always be joyful May your song always be sung

  3. Extremely sad to see such a capable, lovable, and warmhearted friend leaving us. You have given your best and learned so fast and became our Yalla push marshal that was always serving the best coffee and smiles. Somehow I am sure we will still meet somewhere in the sand, and no doubt if I ever see that black FJ I’ll be chasing it to give you a warm hug. Wishing you all the best my friend. Be safe and keep enjoying the beautiful deserts.

Dear Desert Wanderers @Gertjan @essam ibrahim @Bjoern @Rafey Hashmi @Patrick van der Loo @Dan S @DanielN @Ishak and @Cha as there is an event at Qudra over the weekend we will start at the same meeting point but will not attempt to go to Solar Park and exit slightly before to avoid any issues with the planned festivities in the area. We will be using Ch4 446.081 and the convoy order will be as per below. Look forward to seeing you all bright and breezy for tomorrows adventures.

  20. Epic Weekend Getaway! Hello @Frederic, organisers, and Awesome Fellow Adventurers, A quick message to say a massive THANK YOU for last weekend's desert night out. It was simply epic! From the thrilling morning desert drive back to the road @Looper to the unforgettable night under the desert stars, you made it all happen. And that movie, "The Dark Side of the Moon." was the cherry on top! @Frederic Frederic and team, you rock! Your planning skills are off the charts, and everything ran like clockwork. To fellow adventurers and guests you're all legends. Whether we were tackling sand dunes, huddled around the campfire(lights), or getting lost in the movie, music and party your company made the trip. @Gok Krish, Pleasure meeting you. your surround system are amazing. Need to learn more about it in coming meet up. The beauty of nature, the rush of adventure, and the bonds we made—on the weekend had it all. Special Thank you the campers and @Looper, @Frederic Let's keep the memories alive, awaiting for next announcement , and make each one as unforgettable as this. Until our next great escapade! NB: now I know what to bring next time 😉. Except biriyani. Cheers and Happy Diwali!!

  34. @Frederic thank you very much for organizing this event and it was wonderful..my son had the first night out camping in the desert and he likes it too much....all good but I would like to highlight one thing...not being a spoil sport here...but appreciate the guys who join have a basic understanding of keeping the music down atleast after the midnight.. my son and wife had difficulty sleeping..it went on like till 1:45... I could hear @Looper asking them to keep it down but I guess every one is in the top of their excitement level....it was fun and I appreciate the event...it's so good to have this kinds of event often...but silent after 12 please.....

  35. when we get enough Rammshtein fans we could do a German Neue Deutsche Härte night.. I've counted three on this drive) not safe for women and kids) .. just kidding. Was a good format, the ambience in the desert is awesome. In the afterpatry we had some good insights into Doors with @Gok Krish and his surround speakers, thanks for this.

  36. Hello! @Islam Soliman we're both excited to join the drive and will be there! - My car: Pajero LWB 3.8 brown, 4WD with stock front and rear tow points, ironman 2" lift and safety flag. - @Rahul6157 : Patrol (Y62) 4.0 Silver, 4WD with stock front and rear tow points and safety flag. - First time off-roading in the desert, although been in the co-driver's seat more than a couple of times so have a fair bit of an idea of what to expect, looking forward to your guidance first-hand! From the list, we're missing the tire inflator though. Excited to join you guys!

  37. Great to have you @was003 .. looking forward for driving with you and learning from your vast experience

  38. thanks for expanding the group. Pajero SWB, white, stock towing points available. Prepared for mild over-landing (slight lift, spacers, nothing extreme). Over 2M kms on my clock and several seasons of racing - it's like a career shift, I guess. Overlanding and beach driving experience from past life - nothing you guys would consider a pro thing, so after watching your guides I am humbly stating here for the record: a full blown noob ready to learn new things. I'm only missing a... shovel, but I guess it's something I will be able to get tomorrow during the day...

  41. Good afternoon @was003 Yes indeed, we request every new joiner to start with a Newbie drive as a minimum, and from there, after discussion with the Lead or Marshal, you can apply to have your previous experience transferred, and if accepted, join Fewbie drives. This is to ensure our minimum rules for safely driving in convoy are well understood, and as you can guess "previous experience" can mean anything from family picnic to expert driving... Thank you for your understanding, and I hope to see you soon in a next drive.

  42. @Gaurav Is there media coverage of the event. Do I get to wear my broadway suit? 😆

  43. Hi @was003, In order to transfer any offroad experience that you have, please kindly follow the below steps explained on the link below: I believe only after you have done at least 1 newbie drive and you have applied for rank promotion you will be allowed to enter higher ranks drives.

  44. Please use the attached GPX file or this GaiaGPS link to import the GPS waypoints. This is a set of 10 way points that one could try to complete over a period of 6 hours. This done as part of the preparation for Carnity DCT 2023. This list covers some of the interesting places to visit in Qudra, Murquab, Faqa, Sloar Park and back. Hope you enjoy the drive. 45. Thank you all for joining ! The weather was pleasant and the company and food even more so ! Please do let me know which things can be improved. This was the first time we organized something like this and I’d love to repeat it this coming winter a couple more times. From my personal opinion we should perhaps try to find a more central location inbetween Abu Dhabi and Dubai / Sharjah as we have people joining in from several Emirates and it would be good if we could find a location that’s suitable for all. Perhaps also next time we can meetup a bit earlier before dark so it’s easier to set up camp 🏕️ while still having some day light. Stay tuned for more to come ! @LooperThank you so much for safely taking out the campers this morning.
