Hi @andy_macdxb. I would suggest to get out of the pocket, and advice the second lead to redirect, if a better choice is available. If getting out of the pocket takes some time and maneuvres, or a better route is not immediately available, we'll advice the convoy to stop, then we'll complete the manoeuvre and/or find a better route. But with plenty of driving time and better knowledge of one's car, getting out (or attempting to) becomes second nature 😅

@Ale Vallecchi unless the pocket is too small for a big car 😅😅, once i ended up hanging in a pocket 😂😂. It was a camping trip, and we had to remove half the side of the pocket before pulling. Lesson from that: always have a visual of your path.

  4. Thank you @Ale Vallecchi, @Vanessa8580 and @Rajeevan Vickneswaran for a very enjoyable drive yesterday. As usual, with @Ale Vallecchi's lead, the drive is very educational, and @Vanessa8580 adds the twist of fun to it.

Though the drive was easy, it was a combination of nice scenery and some enjoyable dunes.

Noticed though we don't have a slot in the gallery, hot some nice photo.

@Vanessa8580 got a nice photo of you on top of a dune, is it ok to post? or I share directly with you?

  5. Ok my turn now to comment after 24 hours since i cleaned up and uploaded some photos in the gallery.

This was one of the drives i truly enjoyed the most, tricky but full of experience and the team spirit was amazing. Kudos to @Rahimdad @Ashy and @Brette for being there at each and every stuck (except mine and Mario's, but we managed 😉), and to each one of you who carried his shovel and helped, and yes we laughed a lot, but isn't this the beauty of it? Turning an annoying situation into learning & fun?

A few improvement notes though from the rear of the convoy:

    - biggest adversary was lack of momentum, many hesitated when reaching the crests and ended up stuck

    - trying to unstuck yourself without assessing the situation from the outside is a No No, especially when one of the leads tell you to stop, but you keep spinning

    - finally....(me me me) go and check you tires after a pop out especially a sliding pop out 🙂🙂🙂...approx 500g of sand came out of my tire 😂😂😂😂

    Drive Report

With the weather still so pleasant, i have been aiming to do a full drive for quite a while now in the Sharjah-RAK area. And with such a nice convoy in my pursuit, we can call it a blessed day.

We met up at 07AM on a dirt track nearby the Al Batayeh Petrol Station, and everyone was eager to conquer whatever was presented to them. Unfortunately after about one hour, the mighty big beast of @Abu Muhammad wanted to take a day off, after realizing there was something wrong with the 4x4 system on a tricky slope inbetween bushes where my winch was useful. We exited at the nearby village to say goodbye to our friend. I hope the mighty Sequndra is riding again soon in our convoys.

From Batayeh, we made our way to Falaj Al Moalla, that belongs to Umm Al Quwain, and is knows for its fort and three watchtowers, of which the one we passed by was the West watchtower. We found some funny vehicles in the village, probably from a collector, and made our way through town and onto the next farm track that would lead us to Ghail.

We've seen loads of camels, occasionally becoming part of the convoy, and i had to reroute quite a few times to steer clear of them. Obviously we didn't want to scare these wonderful ships of the desert. Unfortunately the wild donkeys seemed to have a Friday day off, as we have spotted not a single one.

After reaching Al Ghail industrial village, we inflated a bit as we needed to drive on the main road for a few kilometers to cross the road and make our way to Al Ghail town. We took a break at some nearby ghaf trees and had some lunch.

The last part of the adventure was a riverbed trail (wadi) that meandered around the mountains and gave us a glimpse of the activities in these small mountain villages. We exited at Asimah, a little village a few kms north of Masafi.

@MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ you were the perfect second lead, rerouting and correcting where needed and always focused on the task at hand. Thank you!

The Pajero team @Hossam Anwar @paolo dassi @Trekado took this challenge with bravoure, drove amazing, and showed how capable a Pajero is in its stock form. @Bhaskar proved that the Montero Sport is equally capable in the right hands. Well done guys !

@kolinrrj with the mighty Landcruiser. You have really impressed me with your driving skills and attitude. Always positive, calm, and learning very quick. Amazing !

@Melenany keeps taking that F150 through every town and every dune magnificently. Man and Machine perfectly in sync ! Thanks for the nice photos and relive video !

@Werno and @Sara EL FANIDI proved once again the capabilities of a short wheel base Jeep Wrangler. Seeing the Jeep Wrangler having progressed from @Jeepie her powerful utilitarian beast into a comfortable modern 4x4 in the same convoy is amazing to see.

@Sajit Modiyil as usual so capable with the beautiful Xterra, not putting a foot wrong and gliding through the dunes effortlessly. Superb !

@Ahmad Shaker being the only FJ today showed the amazing capabilities of these cars and enjoyed the scenery from the back without much issues or struggles. Well done !

This concept, started by @Ale Vallecchi who has proven that it works and there is traction in these kinds of drives, will definitely be repeated as long as the weather permits.

See you all soon in the sand again !

@Frederic count me in for the next full day drive 🙂🙂🙂🙂

You are right, @N@ved, it wasn't you crested, I indeed wasn't sure who it was. Fixed the report 😉, thanks.

Oh, @Lorenzo Candelpergher, since you are fixing reports, can you please correct my F1500 to RAM 1500. Just for accuracy 😂😂

@Paul Zeitoun mate that is border line racist comment against the Pajeors....hahahahahah.... to be honest i had the same impression before joining Carnity and seeing some of the magic Pajeros can do, had to take my thoughts back.....

About reaching the top (guessing you talking about Faya)..... well so far i have not been able to reach the top (my car has reached the top but not me, that's a story for when we meet) so i may be filling the gaps of the Pajeros you talking about 😄

@N@vedI bet you this time you will 👍👍👍
