  • Gaurav changed the title to Morning Intermediate Drive - Badayer - Sharjah - 02 Dec 2023
  • 2 weeks later...

It was controlled chaos from the start and especially at the end, just before the exit. As I planned it was a 2-hour drive, with half an hour's break. What I loved most about this drive was we conquered all the Big Dunes & Bowls that came in our way. Iftar Bowl , Super Bowl , all big dunes .

The sand was wet as if it rained the previous night, but I guess it is going to be like that in the foreseeable future due to the dew during the winter. The upside of the wet sand is it makes climbing dunes a tad bit easier, the downside is all the vibration while driving on the churned-up tracks, there is no escape from that hell.

Thank you @Jona, @Tareq Al Turq, @Amir Amiri, @Joseph Raju, @Cha, @Imteeaz, @Pacific and @Sunil Mathew for your participation in the drive. I hope you enjoyed the drive.

Super drive @Looper..everything was a surprise, including waking up to an empty drive post in the forum , which put some doubts in my head 🙃.....and the final "Survive the chaos"  segment 😁

Just now, Cha said:

I knew we were moving fast but didn't think its anywhere at 28kmh average moving speed, while climbing the medium and big dunes, thank you @Looper and the rest of the convey.

I was actually hoping we’d do 30+ kmph moving avg speed, alas. The problem with Gaia GPS is if you stop for say 2-3 min or even a bit more and then start driving, it doesn’t count it as stopped time dragging down the overall moving average speed, as the time is not considered for as stopped. It starts to count as stopped but if you move it removes it from stopped.

don't drive like its your last one.

then we definitely exceeded 30kmh, we had a couple of refusals and lost track.  but also because all these I could sync more with the Pajero!😈 look forward to more chaos this Saturaday!
