ADVISOR This level is the cornerstone of Team Carnity Structure as you will always remain an "Advisor" first even when you attain a Marshal rank. As an advisor, you will, constructively help, support, and advise other advisors with "respect" being part of this big multi-cultural family. You will be learning the basics of leading the convoy in the desert in three Leaders Lead Sessions: Advance sand reading, planning your lead, terrain, level, and emergency exits. Lead with navigational software to systematically scale the lead for all the cars in the convoy. Ability to lead, recover and manage the convoy in the most extreme desert available in the UAE. Thanks for your message. We will try to keep it in mind when planning drives in future . There was a request for more night drives considering the hot weather and hence you can see more night drives planned. Of course as we all are volunteering (as per our availability out of our free times, family acceptance, car readiness , availability of support especially on NB/FB drives) to coordinate and lead drives with some amazing support from all the seniors, we also like to keep it varied (in terms of drive level, terrain, area, duration of the drive, and time - AM/PM/Twilight/Night along with rotation to lead/support ) to keep one motivated for the challenges which come along. You can join other drives which are already planned during the time you are asking for. Thanks for your understanding @Dodi Syahdar

This week I will complete my 10 IM drives to qualify for the pre qualification drives for extreme promotion. I don't want any more upgrades to be done to my car except the usual skid plates and tow hooks. Carnity's motto is drive with stock cars and that's what I intend to do. I'm already at 7 IM drives completed with 1 extreme. And with 3 more IM drives this week I will have done my prequalification part. Nobody can beat our enthusiasm to drive in the desert. So this week we drive together in many many drives. I'm excited.

Dear Desertnauts. Last update before this afternoon's drive. It will be Faqa (north/central side, to avoid unpleasant border encounters), it will be fast (as much as the terrain will allow), and it will be long (as far as the daylight will allow). The general plan, as mentioned, is to push westward, following the sun, looking for different terrains as we go, alternating open with tighter areas, taller and longer with lower and smaller dunes., At meeting time it will be warm, so please deflate according to what we expect to be soft sand conditions. We'll choose the radio channel on the spot, based on the less occupied frequency. The convoy order will be as follows: @Tero Vallas in Second Lead @Thomas Varghese at #3 @GauravSoni at #4 @Hisham Masaad in #5 @Amir Amiri at #6 @Rob H at #7, and @Abu Muhammad will Sweep As usual, with Intermediate drives, there will not be rigid convoy responsibility, other than SL, with the task of perfecting the lead's tracks, and Sweep, tasked with making sure the convoy is driving together. Everybody else, including SL and SW will be involved in assisting recoveries, of the cars in front or behind, based on opportunity and need. Looking forward to seeing you in the afternoon.

Hi @Goutam I believe no need to major upgrade solely for the purpose of extreme drive , still you can go stock , my opinion .

The forecast is predicting clear skies, and a gentle breeze so lots of star gazing away from the light pollution of the city . This is a fun area with lots of nice challenges which will present further challenges in the dark. Let's see how we do but the plan is to exit around Solar Park. Hi @Chaitanya D thanks for your message.. efforts, flexibility and availability of all Seniors at @Carnity is truly remarkable and reflects the spirit of the club. Promptness and positive attitude with which Seniors respond to every requests is just awesome, despite all personal/professional engagements that we all have.... Our request on this one is mainly as the drive was already planned and change is purely due to the new structure rolled out...So if we can continue with the drive at Intermediate (or for that matter any level) would be great.. some of us planned our weekends considering this drive, so will help us continue with the same ..ofcourse if not feasible due to any reasons that's okay as well and we well understand the same. cheers @Lorenzo Candelpergher

@Lorenzo Candelpergher As this extreme drive got cancelled, can we have intermediate drive instead ? There is one intermediate drive at night 4 June with @Chaitanya D but I still prefer to have morning drive if available.

Yeah I am in. Need to build that 10 Intermediate drive track now quickly to join the extreme drives. I think the car needs to be upgraded as well. Don't have no lift or larger tyres. Most of my upgrades are for convince only.

Hi @Hisham Masaad. I have never used that particular meeting point since pre-Covid times, being aware that it's impossible to reach. No worries 😅. We'll meet in the sabkha north of Faqa (make sure you take the exit before Faqa town), and move from there, away from AD's border.

In this summer I am trying my best to transform into a night rider . Heat has its own impact on the driver and his machine as well

It’s nice to have night drives during this weather, honestly the early morning drives are very exhausting for some, for example, I have to wake up at 3:30am to catch the drive this leaves me with only 2hours of sleep.

Yeah @Lorenzo Candelpergher read the thread after posting .....plz make it Intermediate and let's go ahead...😉 In any case with three drivers, we can have flexibility on the level...😉😉 Official level is secondary it's the fun of exploring the new terrain with a small convoy

Dear @varunmehndiratta, During last week the new @Carnity ranking system has been rolled out and as a result a new Extreme level (above Intermediate) has been created. At the moment only 9 members have been ranked Exteme. If you scroll up this thread, you'll see I have shared a specific post about the first 9 promotions.

Oh ... Hi @Lorenzo Candelpergher last week both me and Abu attended the extreme drive, perhaps i didn't followed, are there change in concept? Can we translate it to Intermediate drive instead if not extreme.?
