Hello off roaders. Thank you all for signing up and being on time. It was a WOW!! drive once again with every one of you and enjoyed it. We were all set to hit the sand and by 7.10, we began the drive. It was a sluggish start as after few minutes of the drive we had a pop out in @ASAD. vehicle . It was done quickly.. but after inflating the tyre ,, found that there was a puncture and the air was leaking . Thanks to @Looper as he landed up with the tire repair kit and some how with multiple ideas, we fixed the issue . We were fortunate today that we didn't come across many cross tracks. It was nice to attempt few side slopes and ridge riding and every one of you did it great. After the initial pop put and fixing it...It was then a smooth drive with out much of issues. It was good to meet another carnity convoy under @Foxtrot Oscar and @JeromeFJ on our way. In approximately an hour after the break, we had to deal with second pop out of the day with @Vinod Damodaran car and this time it really took some time to fix the issue and i appreciate your patience.. thank you guys. But even after fixing the pop out it continued to lose the air prompting @Vinod Damodaran to exit the drive. After exiting him to the tarmac we continued the drive. On our way to the play area and exit, ..we had to face a few refusals and re attempts.. BUT it was superb to end the drive with a blast.. Thanks to @Looper for the support and helps in recoveries . It was nice to use and practice your tire repair kit.๐. thank you bro for your help in fixing the pop outs. Thank you @hugo for the second lead. You did really well except for not following the tracks a couple of times. Thank you @Tom B for being an Excellent Sweep. You did an amazing job today buddy. @Andrew McCarthy. did a good job with your Pajero buddy. It was nice to see you confidently negotiating the dunes and ridges and did a good job stopping your vehicle when you lost the track.๐. @Issaa..xterra !! we share the same spirit bro. you were amazing today with the X and was nice to see you performing effortlessly. Good job. @Joseph Raju with Y61..did great today bro. You were all cool and silent making it with ease . Well done. @ASAD. did well bro. All went good after the pop out and was nice to see you enjoying your drive. keep up the spirit. @Vinod Damodaran..i think it was a not a very good day for you with your Lexus. You did really well in managing the heavy beast,, but unfortunate towards the end. Hope you sorted out the issue and back home safely. @Reggie Landicho you were really good buddy. and it was nice to see you after long. Thanks for your help with compressor and did excellent with your JK๐.. @Michel Van Woudenberg.. superb bro. was nice to see you charging with your beast and i believe you are in full sync with your new desert toy now. Thank you all for a superb day and see you soon. Some pics in the gallery ๐7 points

Thanks @Chaitanya D for the lovely afternoon drive and thanks all for a fun filled drive. Starting from Lisali the convoy cut through some technical and some long range dunes. Driving southward we passed through the tricky Desert Championship waypoints to end the drive next to love lakes....and what a busy end point it was, felt more like entrance at Expo. It was a signature @Chaitanya D drive with learning perfectly blended into fun - the track n terrain ensured all our tools - ropes, shackles, shovels, jack etc were out on sand and the nervous faces on the ridge and smiles upon accomplishment reminded me of my first FB drive with Chaitanya in Sweihan almost an year back .. i fell in love with Criss crossing that day and was clear yesterday that the whole convoy had fun with it as well. Overall we drove around 43Km at an average moving speed of 21Km/,hr, a good effort considering the decietful Lissali terrain we traversed through. @Rob S and @Bruno Finel you had perfect drives. Thanks Rob for executing SL role to perfection . Lisali is not an easy terrain to lead and demands a strong SL, you handled it very nicely. @Shahid Mehmood @Patrick van der Loo and @Bhaskar you all handled your ships very well. As we already discussed during and post drive, the long ln. entails more tendency to fishtail, so stay focussed on right momentum and lines. Again the rule of thumb - when in doubt steer down. @FARAZ MOHAMMED a fun day at work for you, that's what FB drives are for. Every refusal, crest, pop out makes one a better offroader and you had it all.๐. Was nice to see you self recover from that crest. Do get all your tyres checked before the next drive. @Prakash Anoop @AlexM @KAMALIO The Wrangler Boys just sailed through the terrain and so did our lone FJ @Pierre de Maigret. Beautifully driven. Thanks @Kailas for your guidance throughout and keeping the long convoy together. Hope to see you all on sand soon.5 points

thanks a lot @Shaaz Sha for the amazing drive. Thanks to @Looperfor the support and especially the puncture repair kit . I went straight to the tyre shop to get the tyre checked and cleaned, the guy said the repair was proper and did require to be redone so an excellent first time repair to both of you. Thanks to @Tom B for being a wonderful sweep and to everyone else for the being sport during the pop-outs and refusals. Im glad we all got to play a little bit at the end, made the drive all more satisfying. Look forward to see you all soon.4 points

@Shaaz Sha thanks for an excellent drive this morning and entrusting me with the sweep position. Your drives never fail to deliver. Apart from the stops to repair the pop outs, it felt like we covered a lot of ground and kept a fairly decent pace up. Certainly helped by the fact that there we so few refusals/stucks today. I guess that shows we are all improving! The bowl at the end was definitely worth extending the drive for. @Looper thanks for your support. I enjoyed watching you do the side sloping and seeing how it should be done. @Vinod Damodaranhope you got back home without too much bother. Bet you can't wait to get back into the Jeep! @Michel Van Woudenberg enjoyed following in your tracks. Your new LC has some serious power. I took some pictures along the way, including one of everyone as they attempted the large bowl at the end. Have posted on the gallery.4 points

An excellent early morning drive on a weekend by @Ale Vallecchi. Had all the hallmarks of an Ale drive. From Point A to Point B with a convoy who doesn't shy of the route or challenges. Of course its an IM level drive and this is what is expected. The radio was silent 99% of the time except Ale transmitting about the unexpected bumps in between or about the encounters with camels and oryx's. All the drivers showed up on time and we started the drive with Ale giving the convoy order just before the drive as expected of a Mystery Drive. I was expecting to be the 2nd lead as I had been his 2nd lead in number of drives now and yes he recruited me to be his 2nd lead. Thank you Ale for the confidence in me. Hope I had fulfilled your expectations. @Dodi Syahdar got his only chance for pulling out a car today when @Anoop Nair got his Jeep crested. The rest of the time he could just enjoy his drive while sweeping the convoy. I believe this speaks about the expertise of all the drivers who participated in the drive. Some pictures are posted in the gallery. Thank you all for joining the drive and see you soon again in the sands.4 points

Good morning everyone. Thank you @Brette, @Vanessa8580 and @Alfred Alinazar for a good drive and all the assistance provided. It was a bit of a challenging drive with all the churned up soft sand in parts closer to Pink Rock. Picked up some more good tips, which are all appreciated. Have a great week ahead.4 points

Thank you @Hisham Masaad again for an amazing 4x4 adventure and the coffee and the lovely dates hospitality, which gave extra energy for the next amazing drive phase of the trip where you took us to some incredible dunes which I and the the rest if the convoy loved. Evening all, just wanted to say what an amazing amazing drive. I'm not just saying this but it was one of the best carnity drives I've been on and lucky enough to sweep on. Absolutely bloody brilliant!!!!!!! Thank you Hisham and team. The pure skill shown by all was proven by the minimal stop times. Can't wait for the next drive! Ps Hisham I'm going to order a new radio from Amazon let me know the brand please as I forgot to take a pic. Cheers all and have a great week. Imran3 points

@Shaaz Sha Many thanks to you and the rest of the group for a great fun drive on my first Fewbie gig. Hope I didnโt screw up the tracks too badly for those behind me. I am still looking for that lost track thoughโฆ @Looperthanks for your help. @Vinod Damodaran no need to apologise for your pneumatic misfortune. I am sure it will happen to us all at some point, if it hasnโt already. @Tom B thanks for the cool pics. Onwards.3 points

Thank you @Chaitanya D for the great drive and @Kailas, @varunmehndiratta for the support! I particularly liked the attention on proper learning, when you gathered us all and showed ridge riding with the toy car, it helps to visualize the technique. @varunmehndiratta thank you for the tip on fishtailing, getting more used to it by the day! Will keep it in mind for future drives. And can't agree more with the love lakes point! It did feel like half of Dubai wanted to feel some love yesterday! Looking forward to more!3 points

It takes a certain amount of bravado (or blindness as @Srikumar puts it) to take on a night drive. With the reduced visibility comes increased uncertainty on what comes next. But seeing how the convoy snaked through Qudra last night, one would mistake you all to have driven many times over, offroad in the dark. Any trepidation that each of you were feeling was certainly not visible. With very few refusals, every single driver last night should feel absolutely chuffed with themselves. In the few refusals we did see, it was the lack of momentum which is usually exaggerated during night drives due to the fear of not having any orientation on what's beyond. It is completely normal, and something you'll just get better with over time through abandon Firstly, thank you Doc @Chaitanya D (a doctor both for the sands and the hands) for a smooth rolling track. Your eye (or blindness) for finding the gems in the dark are exceptional. I hope the convoy here someday get to see you lead us through Lisailli in the dark to send our adrenaline even higher off the charts. With plenty of little breaks and chit chats (ones we missed at the height of restrictions through last year), you gave the convoy the opportunity to mingle too. I met so many new faces last night. @Srikumar, it was a pleasant surprise to have you join the convoy and get over that itch. You (and a certain someone who still wants to remain a mystery) added such great humour and banter to our comms. I particularly liked seeing your Jeep show up like a shepherd giving the back-end of the convoy a beacon on where not to stray. My radio was given a stern talking to after I came home for failing to hear you. It has been grounded until the next weekend. I absolutely love your brand @Looper, and how you're geeking out over this. That sweatshirt also looked super comfy. I can't wait to see you lead your brand of looping drives in the near future. To everybody else in the convoy (including that one radio giving us a live feed of your cold air gurgles), it was a pleasure to drive with all of you. At the back, we were happy with how little churn you were throwing up for us. @Rob S, you drove really well and as you've seen, you don't need a ton of lights but instead shades if you get put in @Sanjay Malik's position. @Roger K - I loved seeing your Cabela's tee. It brought back a flood of memories from driving south from Ann Arbor on 23 to my fix of adrenaline at Cedar Point. And finally, a special shout out to @Jessica Lambert for playing an excellent SL, on a night drive nonetheless. With barely any rerouting, you set an excellent pace and rhythm for the remainder of the convoy. I look forward to seeing all of you, out on the sands soon ๐ต3 points

Hello Every one, I am so sorry for the trouble due to my car tire issue. my apologies to all ๐.๐ฅ Very very grateful to Shaaz, Looper , Reggie and so many of you for excellent support.โค๏ธ It was hard work, thank you all again. I drove straight to Qudra petrol station and then checked the pressure, surprisingly the pressure was 44psi on the popped out tire. I deflated down to 34psi. probably the leak was due to sand stuck on some area of the rim which got set in motion. However due to early exit, went to ACE and picked up some recovery stuff to be quick ๐ช in case it happens again ( hope never again ). Got an Air Jack ( Bushranger balloon type ), ARB Compressor, a Long arm Shovel and few other essential stuff.. And Yea Tom, sure I will be with the Jeep next time, and destroy the way for Reggie with my zig zag driving... ๐. See you all soon , Cheers !2 points

Two things to check if the car is FOB (fresh off the boat - never owned used UAE locally): 1: check if the car has a major accident, no affect to chassis/frame, engine, not flooded burnt - search the car vin number on google you should find the accident images and relevent information before UAE. 2: make sure the car is 4x4 - the car must have 4x4 control knob/lever of 4high 4low US cars are cost effective options, and they tend to have higher spec than GCC ones. My dream is to find a V8 pathfinder R51 here, it was only available in US market1 point

Totally agree @Davie Chase, you briefed the drive very well. Amazing day, with amazing team. Everyone was on time ready to move, we had to wait sometime for @Ahmad Shaker since he did not message or notify he is not joining. Started moving 7:20 am, weather was nice, and everyone was ready for the challenges. After sometime, warming and moving to real area, I have realized I have strong drivers, controlling, know how to handle, which gave me confidence to push the level keeping safety always priority. Every one was good, met all challenges and knew the capabilities of his car. Usually these drives, we donโt reach so far, but we managed to spread our drive almost every where, reaching Iftar bowl. SL @Mohamad Anwer you were amazing, following notes and instructions, @Junaid120120 as CF good job, and well done @imranaasghar81 for being our SW today. @Joji varghese @Vaibhav @Ben84 @Waqas Parvez @Davie Chase @Rsjiv Samuel @MMansoor pleasure having you today, you made the drive. @Hisham Masaad once again thank you for the absolute blast this morning, was amazing scenery, challenging quick long range dunes , with very little interruptions from refusals and stucks (except mine lol). Thanks for the dates and Coffee the boss was especially grateful for he coffee Great support from @imranaasghar81 And @Junaid120120 sweep and CF respectively, you guys did a great job keeping use all together and most of all safe. There was also some great radio work from the team which was much needed as there was a lot of traffic out there today a lot of whom were not as disciplined as the Carnity team., so it got a tad hairy in places. Great to see old and new faces, sorry if i missed anyone as i cannot remember all the team players. @MMansoor@Vaibhav @Ahmad Shaker @Joji varghese @Ben84 @Waqas Parvez @Mohamad Anwer you guys made it an extra special day. Good banter, excellent team work and most of all everyone was patient with everybody else. Thank you all for making Saturday morning special. thoroughly enjoyed it1 point
