  2. Ahoy Sand Sailors, Greetings from the land of pyramids. I have been on move since I woke up for the drive this Sunday. Feels like the momentum we gathered during the drive has continued till now πŸ˜€, it was some good pace and action throughout the drive. Thanks for joining in and making it a fun exploration from Faqa to Little Sweihan or as some call it The Middle Earth (land between Dubai and Abu Dhabi) πŸ˜€. I had my doubts (had never attempted it before), however with the strong convoy as it was, we managed to accomplish the mission we had set out for. Overall we covered around 63Km with an average moving speed of 28.8Kmph - an awesome stat considering the unlimited number of long ridges we travelled and the mysterious bowls in Little Sweihan area we sailed through, especially with treacherous nature of sand this weekend. While it was a FBplus drive, your response to challenges pushed me to maintain a level no less than Intermediate throughout the drive. Brilliant work all especially @Mahmoud Taha and @salah2u our FBplus sailors on this drive. You guys were no less at any point of time. @Looper thanks as always for being a solid cf throughout. @Imteeaz and @salah2u - hope you enjoyed being the SL in this fast paced drive. You handled the challenges very well - especially there were many crazy tight and soft spots that we crossed. @Niki was good to see you after a long break - your shoveling skills have only gotten better during this long break, as promised we gave you good enough time to flaunt the same πŸ˜€ @MMansoor - another brilliant drive for you. Thanks for keeping the convoy together while sweeping the convoy during the first half. @Mahmoud Taha awesome drive for you, minor refusals at this level is perfectly fine - it was surely beyond a standard FBPlus level drive and for that you did really well. As we discussed, a bit more planning while approaching a challenge makes a lot more diff. Thanks all, hope to see you all soon.

  4. Dear Friends Hello and welcome to Sweihan drives II . Along Al taf road E16 and further south will be our start point but this time we will head east toward the rising sun β˜€οΈ . The plan is to cross Sweihan from west to east direction ending up somewhere at E95 Nahel road. We can expect all kind of stuff along from medium to large dunes and in a time it can get very massive ( leaving Nagara and old lady dune for part III 🀫)πŸ˜„ . Sand is always soft to super soft which entails to keep the momentum running appropriately to get through it . Possibly we might get to relax for some time at ghafeten bowl before it gets technical afterwords till we catch the track to exit . please check on your cars and gears in advance as we still have time . Stay tuned for further info Good day Seidam

  9. @GauravSoniIt was an amazing fast paced, adrenaline filled drive. @Simon DawoodYou have been very supportive and patient throughout the drive. @Haitham Khattab @Sam K @Ignacio QuindΓ³s @Tareq Al Turq @Gerrit Bus @Salim Akhtar @salah2u it was amazing knowing you guys. When my car jumped, my right lower arm was bent which got the tyres completely off alignment. Luckily it didnot break. I had to drive back at a speed of 40km/hr on a road of 140πŸ˜€. Took me ages to reach back. Car is completely fine and all set to test the limits again.

  10. Thanks @GauravSoni for the thrilling adventure you have took us through, after warming up our engines and selfs we stoped for a few minutes to enjoye the sun rise, before we roared our engines all the way to badayer . As we had to cut it a bit short due to some unfortunate incidents of closed fences and a few refusals and a broken lower arm bush of @Yusuf Esafcar. But other than that everyone drive amazingly well. Thanks@Haitham Khattab @Sam K @Ignacio QuindΓ³s @Tareq Al Turq @Simon Dawood @Yusuf Esaf @Gerrit Bus @Salim Akhtar @salah2 for the fun company. I just have a few points to remind you of ( including myself ) and i hope everyone accept them with a welcoming heart. even the best of us sometimes needs to be reminded sometimes. 1. Following Radio communication protocols is extremely important . a. If you have a refusal or stuck situation immidiatly after ensuring your car have stopped and you are safe, announce your situation , name , position number.( preferably 2 times) . b. When you hear on the radio that soneone is having a stuck or a refusal, please stop immediately (safely)as you never know where did the car with the situation have stopped. 2. When someone is trying to recover himself or the marshal and or cf is moving please hold position and dont move unless you have been asked to, some really bad accidents might happen . Thanks again and looking forward to see you all again in the sand soon . @Yusuf Esaf i hope your car is fixed and ready for the next adventure πŸ˜‰

  20. @Benjamin well done on your recovery. the halfdesert is a very popular on the weekeds. Personally i venture sometimes there when i am not in the mood to drive a really long time to get into the sand as its really close-by. Just a few advices out of my experiance to take into consideration before you help anyone next time to avoid getting yourself in some serious problems ( could even be legal at some point). 1. Never help a car with no license plate on. 2. Never help a car that have signs of damage or accident. 3. Never get into someone's else car to try to drive it out( i am refering to people you just met ) 4. ALWAYS use your recovery gears ONLY even if they do propose to use theirs. 5. Remember that recovering random stuck people in the desert is not the same as recovering your friends at carnity ( many of them might not have a safe recovery point, that is if they even have one ). 6. Follow your instinct if you feel uncomfortable ( for any reason )just bailout. 7. Tell them that some damage might occure to their vehicle due to the recovery and ask for their verbal consent to proceed( thier are some really rude people out there). 8. Always consider your safety and the people around you on the 1st place Cheers and see you on the sand

  22. As @Looper previously mentioned, the drive was a proper intermediate drive that required a lot of focus, especially in the first half with high technical dunes, one small mistake you would end up in a pocket or would have had a poppout .We all experienced our fair share of refusal, but this didn't stop us from reaching the target distance that we had set and enjoying the drive as well @JeromeFJ thank you for exploring such area and driving through such terrain, As once remarked by our great leader @M.Seidam if learn how to control your car in technical areas, high dunes and pacey drives will be easier for you. @Chris Wing thank you for the 2nd leader and hoping to see you new FJ soonπŸ™‚ @Santoso Marjuki it was pleasure driving with you and i was impressed, with your self recovery inspite both of your front tyre been airbone, diff lock of rubicon is too πŸ‘ @Rajiv Sam its been a while we drove together, was fun. @Looper thank you for tugging us all out,it is always a confidence booster to see you in the convoy list.
