Hello off roaders, Thank you all for joining and showing up on time. Yesterday the climate was awesome for a morning drive and we were all set flagged and deflated to hit the sand. Right before our briefing and radio check, @Thomas Varghesefound that his passenger side door was not closing and the lock inside was fragmented. He had no choice other than exiting from the drive. As suggested by @Tbone , moved @salah2u to the sweep and we started moving to the desert. After a few minutes drive @Tbone was not happy about the power discharge of his XTERRA and finally he decided to leave the car and join me to continue the drive. Even though there were many tracks we could still find some beautiful dunes and make our way through. We had our initial stuck when @Nafizslided down to a pocket and ended up stuck in an angle where it was not safe to tug him out. After shoveling for around 20 minutes @Chinthaka Ruwan could give him a tug from front just to move him from the churned up soft sand and later pulling him down from behind. Though we had few refusals on our way to pink rock, the drive was superb and the convoy responded well to all the challenges came our way. well done guys. At the pink rock we attempted climbing few times (which could be the last in that area for some time, since there is a news about legal restrictions driving on the high dunes) and the 4X4 of my car disengaged and we decided to end the drive and exit..But with some luck i could engage it back to 4wheel drive mode and continued the drive making it through all other exciting places and ascends in big red area. Thank you all for making it a wonderful drive. Thanks to @Tbonefor making the drive possible for me and it was a blessing to have you on board with me. It was like a practical class for me about the dunes, the approach angle and much more. Thank you. @Ben84 did great as the 2nd lead, well done and keep it up bro. @Prakash Anoop,i believe it was a nice experience for you with your wrangler and very good performance. keep it up. @Peter Hagerand @Marwan Haddad were really good . You guys were amazing in every long climbs we attempted. Good job gus and keep it up. @Nafizwith LX470 had some issues and finally was in sync with his car. Did great towards the end..nice work buddy, and keep smiling the way you do.. . @Chinthaka Ruwan, thanks a lot for your help and support as the CF. You did all the recoveries to perfection and did amazing at the high dunes. Thanks and keep it up bro..😄. @MMansooryou did very well and handled your beast, the Y62 with ease and to the perfection. nice work buddy 😅. @Thomas Varghese, it was really sad to see you stay back while the convoy started and really wanted you to be a part of this drive as sweep. Hope every thing is fine with your X now and hope to see you soon buddy☺️. Thanks to all once again. It was a great experience to drive with you all and hope to catch up with you guys soon.

Hi off road enthusiasts. Hope every one is back to ur base safe. Thank you guys for showing up on time. All of us were at the meeting point at around 6.45 , after the briefing and a radio check started to set out, after @Matt.T got us all lined up for the drive. We were all cruising smooth and had plenty of side slopes and nice bowls to play. Despite the traffic and cross tracks we all managed it well to make it enjoyable. You people were all amazing and did extremely well. Being a strong convoy, We had very few refusals and stuck and we made it to the faya area with ease. Thanks to @Wrangeld for organizing this event and @sertacfor making it possible for me. @sertac, thank you for guidances and advices and for your help in recoveries and refusals. @Warren Flay, you did a magnificent job in your first fewbie plus drive. Your Pajero SWB could make it through without much troubles. well done. @S Jacobhad some refusals and a couple o stuck, which is an inevitable part of this sport. You did keep a positive attitude and kept up the spirit to make faya climb possible. well done. @Charbeldid a wonderful job with your X. I don't think you had any issues and hardly heard you on the radio. keep it up bro. @Gilbert KhalilThe only FJ in the convoy and was an easy peasy for you. Did great al the bowls. keep it up buddy. @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil, did a wonderful job as CF buddy. Thank you soo much for your updates from the center and for all your help in recoveries and tugs. great work man. @Tareckwith his ultimate off roader.. the Y62 did amazing.. You did really good to make it through some slopes and pockets where we had a very limited room for a big car to maneuver. Good job. @Pacific and @Werno..guys i believe you had a good day on the dunes.. you guys were excellent at the back and were a treat for the eyes. did great guys. @Matt.T, Did a great job at the sweep buddy. Thank you for all the detailed updates on convoy from behind and did a great job in recoveries. Thanks you guys and see you soon on the sands. Some images in the gallery.

Hello guys. Thanks to @Thomas Varghese, @Chinthaka Ruwan, @Russand @Rawad @Ranjan Dasfor your reports and feed backs. I believe you all had a wonderful day in the desert. we were all at the meeting point in time, all set and ready to hit the sand. Just before the start @Chinthaka Ruwancar was reluctant to start and we did our best to make it alive..finally had no choice other than parking it safely at the entry point itself. @Chinthaka Ruwanjoined @Russand we started our drive delayed by few minutes. At the debut we had some refusals,.. as the cars and the drivers needed a warm up and in our third attempt to climb the preliminary dunes at Badayer area all cars made it to the top. For me it was a different level of feel as a lead for the first time and thank you guys for all the positive vibes and for making my day. The area was too crowded and cross tracks all over, it was a difficult task to make our way through but with such strong convoy and super lead at the second lead position we could cover most of the areas and make it back to the exit. On our way back to the exit @Abu Muhammadcar had an electric failure with his cooling fans and started over heating. @Luca Palanca Falsiniand @JeromeFJexited him safely to the nearest exit. After a few minutes of drive @Thomas Varghesexterra had its check engine light on and the car came to limp mode. It was difficult to make it to the exit with his car and we had to leave the car at the spot and head to the exit with rest of the convoy.
Thank you @Luca Palanca Falsinifor your TRUST/ADVICES/TRICKS AND TIPS and for providing me an opportunity to lead the convoy, (which every off roader wish for).. Thanks for making it my day sir. Hope i made it up to your expectation. Thanks to @Abu Muhammadand @Ranjan Dasfor your well executed CF roles and hats off to @Russ for your great work as the sweep. You did an amazing job at the back , controlling the convoy, assisting the recoveries and your updates from behind helped me soo much buddy.Thank you for your help after the drive in recovering the limp car to the exit. did an excellent job which was not all easy. It was your best day to start off as support team and all the best ahead. Thanks to @Thomas Varghese, @Javier Lucero, @JeromeFJ, @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil, @Amir Amiriand @Rawadfor making it a wonderful drive and you guys were amazing. Really sad for @Chinthaka Ruwanas he was there all the way, but couldn't make it.. hope you sorted out the issue with your X. @Abu Muhammad and @Thomas Varghese...guys wish a speedy recovery for your desert comrades. Thanks you all once again and see you soon. Few more images in the gallery..
