    Hi @Yasirimam

Please have a look at below post:

Recommended models, and these are also the models where we have the programming instructions for:

    - Motorola or Crony MT777 (+/- 150 dhs)
    - Baofeng UV5R (+/- 75 dhs)

    Both available in Dragon Mart.

I ordered the Crony MT777 online and delivered next day to Abu Dhabi

  2. Very enjoyable drive and could see the skill levels improving as drive continued. Driving behind Chaita proved to be an easy task as he managed the drive to the skill levels of all.

I am still learning about “Momentum”…it can be your friend if you learn to build and control it. Each driver and their vehicle develop momentum in different methods…learn with your vehicle how to develop it as your greatest friend…especially when you are in soft sand.

    Looking forward to next drive!

    Drive Brief
Sweihan is the most impactful introduction to the intoxicating beauty of Abu Dhabi dune driving. Red sand, swooping high dunes impossible crests and long, long slip faces.

We will start at 6:00am roam around the place for quite a while, enjoying the long ranging and yet everything but easy dunes in the area and the beautiful views from an elevated position across the expanse of what Sweihan has to offer.

Dubai drivers - it's a long weekend and this is the chance to enjoy without time pressure of the weekend with the family. If you have never ventured out of the safety of Dubai, it's worth the drive to experience the wonders of Sweihan.

Definitely a wonderful drive. It was my first drive at AD and definitely worth the long drive from Dubai. The trip was fun as planned and had a lot to offer in terms of scenic and huge dunes.

Thanks @Aisha Sfor the rear tug and thanks @Gaurav for noticing the wheel spin and avoiding the Oops movement. Actually the car was not engaging in 4Lo and I had to move it R and D twice before I could get it engaged and it left me diverted. Also thanks for the tip on the self recovery. Will work on it.

For the first Fewbie experience....WOW!!! Thanks to all for that excellent adventure Friday morning and especially to Gaurav for taking us through those dunes with minimal stoppages. It certainly was a learning experience for me and thank you all for your encouragement and fine examples of driving for me to observe. I look forward to the next time out.

  6. Sri, had a great time yesterday!! learning more about how my FJ handles in the soft sand...and learning more how to negotiate the dunes. Looking forward to my 5th Newbie drive next week.

Josh, good work also as the sweeper and reminding me to close the gap...it is too easy to lose visibility of the car ahead if you are not paying attention...and several times nearly made a wrong turn.

I do have a question...several places we drove past a small pocket or hole that appears to be very difficult to exit if you accidentally drive into one...how you recover a vehicle out of a situation like that?

    See you all next time!

And sorry so late to offer up the maxtrax boards for getting that one vehicle moving...I was sitting there watching for several minutes as the vehicle moved slightly forward and back while not getting traction before thinking if there was only something to put under the spinning wheels...then remembering what i had in the back of my FJ.
