Please take note of the following things:

    • Make sure to bring your Offroad gears: Deflator, Shovel, Pressure Gauge, Compressor, Walkie Talkie, and Offroad Flag. Without a programmed radio and Offroad Flag you won't be able to join the drive.
    • Tune in to Channel 1: 446.00625 Mhz when you arrive at the meeting point.
    • Please be on time, earlier is even better so you have ample time to deflate and put up the flag.
    • Senior Supporting members on the drive are @Lawrence_Chehimiand @Dodi Syahdar. Whenever you are facing issues during the drive, please communicate this clearly over the radio and listen to their instructions.
    • Faqa is a wonderful area, and combines nice open areas with very tight technical dunes. Make sure to always keep enough distance and keep your focus (and Walkie Talkie nearby). As the convoy is very long, proper communication will be even more important.

See you all on Saturday morning !

Hi all, my name is Felix and I joined few hours back. I fell in love with off-roading about one year ago and collected a lot of drives and experiences since then. Unfortunately, one of them was not that great. I had a roll-over in January at the well-known iftar bowl. I was driving up the dune and decided too late to break up was too slow when I turned the wheel and rolled down the dunes with my boys at the backseat. Luckily it was a Jeep and we all survived without an injury but shocked.

Needless to say, that the car was a write-off. I did some drives till then, but the experience is not the same, even if I know what went wrong, I see now dangerous situations everywhere in the desert. That’s how I found you – I love the drives that much, but I want to do it right and learn it from scratch again. My new ride is again a Jeep Wrangler but not with the same lift etc. I want to restart small and eat the elephant piece by piece.

Looking forward to a lot of rides and adventures!

Good luck with your come back, and if you don't mind me telling where is this spot, i will love to go there. Thanks

@qaiser ijaz I note you did not yet complete the Absolute newbie drive. You may want to consider carefully if a technical skills drive is your next Carnity outing because the drive is designed to hone skills that are in development. Having said that you have an outstanding choice of vehicle for this type of drive ... :-) so plese confirm the AN is complete and then you can join.

@Wrangeld I will be taking my first ride on Friday. And I have taken one technical ride before with other group. And I don't want to miss this.
