@Anish S Wonderful drive as usual and I can see that Lisaili is quickly becoming one of your favourites! Technical was challenging, concentration was at the max! great lines and very satisfying going through this technical area. The long range dunes were great as well with some tricky ridge riding. I had a flat tyre at the end which is a recurring issue that I will get fixed before the next drive. Everyone did extremely well! @Zixuan Huang - Charliegreat 2nd lead, @Sunil Mathew tremendous help from sweep position, and yes my house has a lot of dead branches now adding to the interior decor @Charbel hope your passenger was better on the way back and will see you soon on the dunes. @Pacific @Anoop Nairalways a pleasure driving with you! @S Jacob you did really well for your first fewbie plus!

We had this for a while on our Big Blue Pajero as well. I removed the terminal, and used a scrubbing pad to completely clean the terminal itself, and the clamp also separately. Thank you everybody for joining the drive and Thank you so much @Sunil Mathew for a complete drive report and video as usual and also for being a good sweep during the drive. I was blessed to have a nice team on this drive where all of you has great team spirit and are fantastic drivers. I drove with all of you previously in numerous occasions and your growth is just amazing. I was really delighted to see how you all of you were exceptionally supportive and pitched in to help to shovel on both occasions when @Anoop Nair and I got stuck in similar positions. This one of the most important mindset that is needed in this sport and i highly appreciated that. @Zixuan Huang - Charlie had the toughest job as second lead especially in the technical areas. However, Charlie always exceed my expectation by being very focussed and also ready to execute any necessary changes for the rest of the convoy. It never happened that you missed any instruction on the radio in any of my drive and always open to learn new things and very helpful to the team. @Chris Wing It was nice to see you after long and i was really glad to see how you were guiding the team where to shovel during the recoveries and was stand by to do a rope recovery. After the drive, I also noticed a beautiful piece of wood nicely placed on the second row, to be honest I initially thought it was a decoration for the car🤔. @Anoop Nair was little unfortunate with the gear issue, i can understand that it can be really frustrating to have the gear stuck and managing the fear of the gear getting stuck again. Since you were calm and resilient you made it successfully till the end of the drive. Well done and i hope the gear issue will be soon solved. @Pacific for you it was smooth drive and you drove without any difficulties. Thank you for assisting with the recovery. Bravo @S Jacob you managed your first Fewbie plus drive very well. You were not far from me so i could see you all the time, you drove perfectly for your first F+ drive, well done👏. Sorry for you@Charbel, you had to exit earlier but this was the right decision. Safety and health is vital. However, you conquer the most technical part of the drive, just missed the long range dunes. I hope to see you soon in another drive and i hope your friend recovered after exiting. Thank you to my lovely co pilot @Veedooshee for the support and especially on this drive for recovering the car when i got stuck. Absolutely amazing technical drive under the expert guidance of @Islam Soliman along with the support from @Lawrence_Chehimi and @Veedooshee. all the cars and drivers were really amazing, was a bit intimidated by the H3 but loved following it. I should not forget mentioning the amazing pictures @Anish Shelp click, thanks for that. Can't wait to take more technical drives and challenge my skills as well as my 3L Montero.

Very enjoyable FB+ drive with @Anish S's favorite spot Lisaili, where we had a bit of everything, technical, long range, night drive and shoveling. Thank you Anish. Good job @S Jacob, I never lost the sight of yours in my mirror, no matter technical or long range, you are very capable. Please check the volt meter reading when the engine is running. If its more than 14.2 V or less than 13V then definitely the alternator is going through a slow death. Check the battery voltage when the engine is off. If its less than 12V then the battery is dying. Both of these can cause terminal corrosion. As its a sealed Amaron battery there is no reason for you to fill the battery acid and cause this and hence can be ruled out. You said you noticed it recently which means definitely either the battery or the alternator is dying off. If your car has done anything above 150000 kms probably the carbon brushes of the alternator has worn out and a good electrician can replace the brushes. Can be your battery is reaching the end of its life too if its too old.

I am Muhammad qasim with FJ cruiser. New to the desert drive and I have completed all the important gears. My fj got front and rear factory tow points. flag, radio, compressor etc.. in hand.

Overcharging your battery can lead to terminal corrosion. Moreover, if you overcharge your battery, it will result in a heat up. Also, it turns your battery into a kinetic energy storehouse. As a result, your battery expands in volume. Consequently, there is an electrolyte push out. This push-out occurs in both flooded and sealed battery types. It can find its way out through the vents or any cracks in your battery.

Try grease, I think it's Lithium based. It helps reduce the salt formation

Good day lead , sweep and rest of the convoy ….. first of all I would like to congratulate @Srikumarfor his century hit as lead. Second we need more of this type of night drives as it was fun to have a drive like this after long time where I was sweating in that cool breeze with challenges . Thanks to rest of the convoy to help me recover from many refusals I had . Special thanks to our senior lead @Asif Hussain, @Gaurav, @Frederic to boost our night vision that kept us moving . Dear All, My drive description was just humorous. Actually it was one of the best drives I had till now in Carnity. It was fun, safe and quite adventurous. Cars getting mechanical troubles into a drive is not unusual. This is not a drive on the tarmac but inside one of the harshest environments on the planet. The most important aspect of the drive was it was executed with total safety in consideration when crazy drivers in ones and convoys were driving like mad men all over the place. Everytime we encountered a rash convoy we stopped at a safe place and allowed them to pass. In terms of level it was a notch above IM drive scaling each and every dune in Badayer area. The convoy responded very well by doing what was asked of them. Looking forward to more drives like this which will make me understand my car and its abilities more.

Drive Report We started off with a nice short climb into the dunes, and then moved around the low gentle slopes as we made our way to Pink Rock and with only one or two refusals in a challenging route then I knew this Newbie convoy was ready to climb Pink Rock. One by one we went up with only two reattempts as @Daniel Rodasand @Alfred Alinazar sussed out what their Pajeros could do. As we left Pink Rock I took the opportunity to talk about the dunes that lay ahead, low , sweeping curves…..yummy. With the convoy happy to give it a go we took those dunes , gently and smoothly and then found the delicious dune that allows you to make your way down, steep, controlled and wonderful to see as everyone manage it with zero issues. I did increase the challenge as we moved through the dunes and we had a couple of minor refusals as we went along. As to be expected. The shovel nor the rope was used in this challenging terrain is a credit to the convoy and to the support team for talking everyone through self recoveries and of course the drivers for listening to instructions. As we headed towards Big Red Alfred announced his engine light had come on, we tried to resolve the issue but to no avail. With time not on our side , I decided it was best to exit the convoy as we were still some way from Tarmac. We took a gentle route to the closest exit point and inflated. I was very impressed with everyone in the convoy. @Gertjan had a very good drive, with very few issues @Marky B and @GratefulKRD likewise dealing with refusals you had with ease. Well done @Manish Kashyapfor handling your raptor in some tight spots. Shout out to the Pajero Posse at the back who @jeetu sharma @Alexanderrr@Alfred Alinazarand @Daniel Rodas who all handled the sands well and again got themselves out of trouble by listening to and following instructions. Many thanks to the excellent support today, to @Looperr for being a great 2nd lead to @Hisham Masaad who was always there to talk everyone through tricky spots and to @Rawad who swept everything at the back and kept the convoy going. Thanks again to all of you for indulging me as I led you through Cowboy Country, it’s a pity we had to finish a little earlier than planned, but we never leave anyone out there. @Alfred Alinazar I it’s an easy fix. To be honest I don’t hide that I was bit nervous while on my way to the starting point , and when I stoped for gas on the way I just said to my self if you were so lucky of having all the support and encouragement from day one I joined Carnity offroad club then it shouldn’t be hard to make them happy and proud to see their fruitful result. The encouraging smile from you and all drivers gave me a booster that morning to start clear and focus. knowing you were my second lead as well as @Rizwanm2 in the middle and @Hisham Masaad in the sweep was a bonus to my calmness. Also thanks to all the fellow drivers whom they did very well despite the few refusals and stuck in the second part after we crossed pink rock and we needed the rope once only in a no time gentle tug by @Hisham Masaad. Some one said it’s the first dune you cross and all comes next , I understand now the feeling . It was thrill fun and responsibility ✌️ I am so happy that every one enjoyed safely and will do my best to keep it up to my fellow drivers in safe desert driving as I learned from the Carnity family . thank you all again and see you soon in the sand 🙏👍✌️ Mohamed

A good mix of technical and long dunes... both offering its own set of challenges to learn through.. last bit was good teamwork on recovery..... It was a wonderful drive today. Not only the terrain. It became more interesting when @Foxtrot Oscar increased the challenges. Thank you very much @Foxtrot Oscar for leading us. I like your style. You are definitely one of my favorite marshal. Will be happy to join your drives again in the future. Unfortunately my car wasn't healthy today so we had to take a very easy route to the closest exist. I managed to get home anyway. Didn't notice anything serious yet, despite of the alarm and the indicators.. However, I will bring the car to workshop to check further about the transmission. Many thanks too for @Hisham Masaad and @Rawad for guarding us today. The convoy would not be that smooth without you. For the rest of the convoy, thanks for the awesome convoy today. Excellent ,great drive with a mix of everything - technical, long range, good pace. Its been quite some time @Anish S since i joined one of your drives. I was a regular in all your mid week fewbie drives back in July, and it really was very good to be back in your territory of Lisaily. We were driving smoothly and just swooping and flowing through the small bowls, riding the ridges and crossing all the way and having fun. Minor issues with @Anoop Nair's car which resulted in the latter half of the convoy exploring a different track from what Anish took , @Charbel's passenger and the final side stuck from our Marshal recovered by a team shovelling and @Veedooshee at the wheel, the drive was pretty uneventful and we had radio silence all along, which i didnt want to break with "all good at the back" announcements, being the sweep!! We were truly a FB+ convoy and congratulations to @S Jacob for his debut who did really well following tight on @Zixuan Huang - Charlie's 2nd lead lines. Was great to drive with @Chris Wing again, hope that piece of wood you found is now neatly resting in your beautiful garden ...sorry to reveal the secret here , hope your tyre is all good and now you know the difference between my car and Anoop's @Pacific - i believe it was a smooth and easy ride for you as well and it was good to just follow your corrected lines without thinking twice. I have mentally marked the DIY of the half roof rack and 4 way deflator hose....one day..surely!! TIll we meet again, looking forward and coming back for more...some random clips from the drive

For the first time, I feel the joy of adventure in the desert in this way, with a beautiful morning🌞 and wonderful weather. We started the journey with what seems to be an ordinary adventure, to turn later into a wonderful thrill of speed and sliding on the sand dunes, with his words @Islam Soliman on the radio to push the car to the maximum. Atypical and completely new driving style, thank you and I will try to join any of your rides in the future, @Lawrence_Chehimi was and still is a great source of support with his valuable advice, thank you. thank you @Veedooshee for the support, @Sudhanva Sonawane your driving and the stability level of your car was impressive, I look forward to the adventure with you in the future, Thank you everyone for the good company on this tour and we hope to meet on future tours.
