Hello and welcome. In this drive which is composed apparently into two parts the “ no plan “ plan is to explore the land which is situated between Dubai and Abudhabi. Never been in such area before . We will be heading south and south as if “there is something about Sweihan “ calling 😄 but I don’t think we are going to go that far .. well let’s see how the fun and our enthusiasm will carry us . hope we will finish on time . However prepare yourself for an extra hour drive in the dark .

DRIVE DETAILS

When:  11 Dec 2022, Sunday 

Meeting time:  13:30  - Sharp (Without any exceptions)

Approximate finish time: 17:30

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit and fire extinguisher.
 

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Saturday - 9 AM
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

It was “unstoppable “ train indeed 😅 the  team spirit was the real fuel that we didn’t even need to use our jerrycans🤣

Eventually I got the chance to feel the dunes of the Empty quarter “ geographically “ and to look up in to the sky and just be in moments of a trance while all were asleep and the camping lights were totally off . 
 

It was a trip worth each Km I drove with my little copilot my companion who just loved every bit of it .from the beginning till the end it was one of an unforgettable time spent with all of you dear friends. 
 

Indeed , Thank you my friend @Chaitanya D for arranging and leading this successful drive and the lovely road trip together on the way to the meeting point and back.to Dubai🙏 it was fabulous and the kids enjoyed it very much too.

It’s in same area , either adjacent to start point couple feet near track or bit inside ( deflation needed ) within 200 to 300 meters ) I would prefer to be bit near the track

Thank you @Rizwanm2 .. actually after the last time in Sweihan III we learned it better . If at all possible try to avoid the rope being in super tight and always try to keep the recovery car at the best gravity advantage . Even if you use 10 ropes . I remember ( somewhere in this thread maybe you will find it ) Richard used a very long connected ropes to bring a car stuck at the base of an ascending soft ramp .

keeping this thread Alive I put this from Sweihan drives V 

I got wedged as you see in the picture below after shoveling the sand wall from behind the rear tires and right front and made it to be prepared for what comes next . I asked @Imteeaz to go back and forth from where he is supposed to recover me to prepare a track for him self . After that 4 ropes connected ( 50 meters ) and I was redirected . Comments are welcome always so we can always learn develop and improve

What a lovely brisk drive in a beautiful morning that was. Thank you all  for coming and enjoying the last episode of Sweihan drives at the intermediate level. You all rocked today. Amazing . It was a pleasure meeting @Arda Yagcioglu for the first time and very good to catch @Lawrence_Chehimi after a long time ( not counting  the rescue drive we had couple weeks ago 😅) . @Imteeaz as usual flawless second lead and thanks for pulling me so smooth when I got wedged ( was it the driver or the 100 meter long rope or both 🤣 ) . @Gok Krish nice to see you after a while and today no one was left behind 😄 thanks a lot .

welcome to Sweihan drives and in its fifth epic version which has been modified bit from my initial plan in terms of start and end only however the terrain remains almost same. What do you expect from Sweihan ? Expect to be in high focus and vigilance as we will be driving pretty fast. Will be climbing tall dunes with climax at NAGRA heights . Just follow the car in front and if in doubt don’t hesitate to exit at any point and announce and the  convoy ( we are short convoy ) will come back and pick you up and try again or reroute as needed. 
please be on time 06:30 with full tank till the brim. Deflate your tires to 12PSI regardless of its type or even lower ( not lower than 10pSi )  if it’s all terrain. 
don’t forget to charge your radios and keep it on channel 1 please .

we will be taking the reverse route starting from Nahel Side at E95 and ending at E16 

In this month of the year still it’s ok but January/February it fall really low in the heart of the desert night
