Thanks @Hisham Masaad for an amazing scenic drive this morning, and thanks to @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler @Rob S and @Mohamad Anwer for supporting.

Some tight technical areas, some extremely soft sand, some wildlife, a great sunrise and a group of experienced drivers all made it a fun morning out!

    See you all soon 🦖

A little different than the signature @Hisham Masaad “yalla push” drive today, but fantastic scenery, changing terrain and some very soft patches to challenge us all! Thanks @Hisham Masaad!

great job to @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler in SL and @Mohamad Anwer looking after everyone from the back!

Limited number of few refusals and very good self recovery, especially from @salah2u. The perfect balance and combination of throttle and steering.

as everyone said over the radio at the end, fantastic morning with a really great group of people!

week off for me next week, so hope to see you all in a couple of weeks time!

Second everything @Mark D and @Rob S have written. Thanks again @Hisham Masaad. Was a fun morning out.

    Hi everyone,

A bit late, but I had some issues accessing the forums.

Here is an image of our route.

Also, I am attaching a GPX file extension. Open your Google Earth and then drag and drop the file into it and you will be able to see the full drive route including vehicle heading.

If you zoom into an area and you see the vehicle going back and forward in the same spot, that was when I got stuck 😁

    Enjoy

    Sam

So far I am finding the bottle jack is the best option. Still searching for one with double lift cylinder. Mush more compact in size and weight.

Put off by the size and weight of a 2T floor jack, I researched alternatives. Settled on a hybrid bottle jack design, supplied by Powerbuilt.

Have tried it out a few times in the desert and am very pleased with it. It's very stable and easy to operate, with good height range. For non lifted cars it is a little tall, but one or two shovels of sand in the area you want to place the board quickly gives enough clearance.

  4. @Srikumar thank you for an incredible drive this morning. As the title suggested, it certainly was an adventure! The early start and long drive to get there was well worth it; large open dunes, no tracks and beautiful scenery as a back drop made it a memorable drive. This is my third time in Sweihan area and it never disappoints.

Criss crossing “old lady dune” during our “warm up” was certainly one of the highlights.

Everyone drove superbly this morning, with minimal refusals and no stucks. And the two pop-outs didn’t hold us back for long. Plus gave me a chance to try out my new toy!

@Warren Flay great job as SL. Not an easy task today.

@Mus_hus78 thanks for sweeping this morning and I hope the dreaded engine fault light isn’t anything too serious.

I managed to take a fair few pics along the way and have posted them in the gallery.

See you all in the sand soon.

  5. @Hisham Masaad, what a drive! Brilliant fun with a superb crew.  The best drive I have had in Badayer so far. How these cars hold up with the endless climbing I will never know.

Everyone drove superbly and the few stucks we did have were all self recovered which meant we were able to cover almost 60 km this morning!

@Rob S, as always, great job as CF. And @Pacific as sweep.

@Warren Flay and @Mohamad Anwer you guys drove flawlessly today and thoroughly deserve promotion to IM level.

Enjoy the Eid break and see you all soon.

  6. Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for a great drive yesterday afternoon. It was fast paced and even though we didn't achieve our target for the two hours, we can take solace in the fact that we hit the 30 km mark (or thereabouts) within the first 60 mins.

Getting to see the Oryx at the end of the drive was a nice surprise also!

@JeromeFJ and @Gaurav Soni thank you for providing great support to the convoy.

I look forward to the next installment!
