  1. Thanks @Tbone for organizing great afternoon drive and to @Wrangeld for leading convoy no2!

convoy2 experienced a bit of everything! Some long range dunes, few small bowls, then into cross cross as the drive led into the soft technical sections. And some reduced visibility at times too due to wind blowing the sand around!

a few stucks and refusals gave perfect opportunity for the convoy to learn.

    in no particular order . . .

@Juzer Gandhi had stuck at angle while criss crossing. Here, the car wasn’t fully on the ridge as Richard explained before trying to turn down. A bit of digging and he was out but we all got the opportunity to learn here!

@FARAZ MOHAMMED became stuck while side slopping. Here, a reminder that momentum is key and to not try to fight gravity. Great self recovery to rejoin the convoy though!

at one point in the soft sands we had 2 or 3 cars stuck but all resolved with digging (even in the heat). Great guidance on where to dig from @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil

@udit completed his first fewbie. From the back it’s always re-assuring to see drivers steering down when they begin to fishtail or loose momentum rather than trying to maintain the line of the driver in front against gravity. A few refusals as you continue to learn how to handle your car but Well done!

see you all in the sand again soon !

  2. Great drive today! Thanks @Gaurav for leading us all (and my parents!) through the dunes. Thanks to @Melenany for support and @Gregory for fantastic job as SL. Towards the back of the convoy everyone was driving well with only minor refusals as the drivers were learning to balance the exact amount of gas needed to maintain momentum through to soft and churned sand. Always a pleasure to be the convoy sweep. See you all soon in the sand.

  3. WHAT . . . .A . . . .MORNING! @Hisham Masaad you taught me how to use Toyota v6 power during some climbs at fewbie level, this prepared me very well for todays adventure. Amazing first drive at fewbie+, I am still buzzing! Thank you leading us through the amazing terrain. Thank you to the rest of the convoy for not making to much fuss when I left a bit more churned sand than ideal! @Joji varghese, @Gregory, @Rsjiv Samuel, @Matt.T. Thanks @Davie Chase for the kind words and @Thomas Varghese for keeping us all safe.

@Rob S thanks for sharing your experiance with me. But i have a question how did you adjust the speedometer? As going with larger tierd will affect the speedometer and i think the AT shifting?

Did you face any issue from tgat point?

    thanks.

Not sure what the circumference difference was, but My Speedo is now reading the same speed as my gps rather than 5-10% below it :)

can’t say I have noticed any change in auto gear shifting, but also assume this is based more off throttle position, gear number and revs rather than road speed.
