  1. @Zed if you are so techy and sold on this video for an idea of crawl control you're really gullible. Anybody can get a car stuck on flat surface and reverse out even without crawl control. The thing about electronics is they need a certain parameter to operate with, if the car was at an angle would it still engage. There are no magic buttons, just experience you can use to get yourself out of different situations.

  2. @Mario Cornejo no part is a small part. If we don't full in the gaps the adventure is not complete. All the pieces of the puzzle fitted perfectly today and I'm loving the responsibility the younger members are taking on for all to enjoy comfortably.

@Junaid120120 your enthusiasm and positive energy is felt from way back all the way to the lead. I am happy you are enjoying this beautiful sport and looking forward to a Fewbie trip with you.

@Watteau I've seen the End Game and a fat Thor is still Thor deep under. I love the humour that Thor brings and the intensity when required. Looking forward to completing our very own Avengers team.

  3. It's good to see newer machines with new technologies incorporated, but I fear these technologies and modern gadgets as if electronics fail you have no back up. Call me old, but I love the mechanical cars which can always be recovered incase something goes wrong. Old is gold.

  4. @Thomas Varghese, not at all a long post. If you think you were stupid atleast you were trying it in an Xterra. My first stuck was to save 30 minutes from Sharjah to Dubai when there was an open desert between the 2 cities, I took my Mitsubishi Eclipse GSR4 Turbo AWD 1991 model sports car in the desert. It had no ground clearance, and no 4 High or 4 Low. That prompted me to take up off-roading to learn a bit about crossing from Sharjah to Dubai saving some time, but soon they put a fence between the 2 cities and I just got intrigued with this sport. I am very happy to have all these wonderful people I have come to love @Carnity and it is a true blessing for us all.

Please find your names and convoy numbering above. When you arrive tomorrow morning, you can start deflating your tires to 15psi if you have normal/highway tires, and 12psi in case you have off-road tires.

Please arrive on time 7:00 AM, earlier is even better so we can help you out with deflation if needed.

We will be using Carnity Channel 1: 446.00625 Mhz.

Seniors on the drive are myself, @Satish Mungse in second lead, @Jeepie as center forward and @Mario Cornejo who will be sweeping the convoy and we will all help you out in case of refusals, stucks, which is all part of the game (and fun) :)

After deflating we will do a briefing to emphasize on the aspects of off-roading and the teamwork involved when becoming part of our off-road community. Since the number of cases has gone alarmingly high, I would recommend only drivers to be out for the briefing with social distancing rules.

In case of emergencies, you can contact me on 050 674 9099

    See you tomorrow !

  6. Hi @AlexPol. Form a relationship with your vehicle, feel it as you learn how to drive. Let it be an extension of yourself. If you feel that your car needs harder suspensions than you are right and nobody can make a general statement on that. Harder suspensions do help with the traction on cross tracks and softer sand, but if the vehicle is your daily driver also the ride on the road is compromised.
