@Beide Worku @Santoso Marjuki @Mus_hus78 @Imran Kashif thank you all for signing up.
@Mus_hus78 and @Imran Kashif i see you both had joined back to back drive, @Srikumar's drive at sweihan on previous night where the drive will end at mid night and my drive will start early morning at LIWA which is around 3.5 Hrs drive form sweihan to meeting point. Please re-think your decision before joining any of these drives. Minimum attendees for this drive will be 4. Even one drop out from current attendees will force me to call of this drive. I request everyone to confirm your presence.

@Beide Worku @Salim Akhtar @Karthikeyan Govindarajan @Santoso Marjuki @Ashutosh Garg @Mus_hus78 thank you for joining the drive.
To ensure that everyone has a fun and safe Liwa trip it's important that you go through the below checklist :1. Please ensure that you are there at the meeting point at 7:00 AM sharp.
2. Get lots and lots of rest the previous day. The more the better as Liwa will not only challenge your vehicle but your mind as well. We would need your complete focus and fatigue due to less rest is the last thing that is needed on such a terrain. For those who prefer camping the previous night, you can do so at the starting point as it's a nice spaced-out area. Bring some firewood in case if you wish to have a bonfire to keep you warm.
3. Ensure that your 4x4 is well serviced recently and all the lubes and fluids are topped up.
4. Arrive at meeting point with full fuel tank. Last ADNOC station https://goo.gl/maps/rKe2DFTu4vn55yuR6
5. Spare tire should be in good working condition. Ensure both front and back tow points are in good condition.
6. Bring lots of water (at least 5 ltr per person) breakfast, lunch, snacks, energy bar, cookies, nuts, etc etc for yourself and your passengers. We shall be having breaks in between the drive.
7. Bring garbage bags along to carry your trash. Littering in the desert is strictly prohibited.
Convoy position and radio frequency will be announced at meeting point. See you all on sand,

Hej Ashutosh, yes it is my plan:), but probably only around 8pm. I will drive with the fewbie group but the starting point is the same for both groups. There will be a few more people, I guess from both groups.
Staring point is same for all drives day 1 and day 2. If anyone wants to camp previous night you can and also you can plan to camp after the drive. I am planning to end my drive at start point if time permits as plan A. Plan B is different location further down at E45 towards mezaira around 25kms from meeting point and you can drive on road after inflating your tires.

Thank you all for signing up for this drive ! I hope you are all excited and looking forward to it !
A few but very important pointers below. Please read them carefully.
1. Please ensure that you are there at the meeting point on 7:30 AM SHARP. Late comers would be sent back. As there is a long distance to drive if you leave in the morning, make sure to leave ahead of time and keep at least 30mins spare time for refueling or a tea break.
2. Get lots and lots of rest the previous day. The more the better as this terrain will not only challenge your vehicle but your mind as well. We would need your complete focus, and fatigue due to less rest is the last thing that is needed on such a terrain. For those who prefer camping the previous night, you can do so at the starting point as its a nice spaced out area. Bring some firewood incase if you wish to have a bonfire to keep you warm. Cleaning up after the bonfire is mandatory.
3. Ensure that your 4x4 is well serviced recently and all the lubes and fluids are topped up. A vehicle breakdown in this terrain will result in not reaching our beloved Yellow Truck so please do the needful to get your 4x4 in the best possible condition.
4. You will be needing 100 litre total fuel amount before starting the drive. For example, if your existing fuel tank is 80L, then you need to bring a 20l jerrycan with you, safely strapped inside the vehicle (or outside if you have a suitable bracket or holder). Make sure your main tank is full. There is an ADNOC 15mins away on the way to the meeting point.
Location of last Fuel Station:
https://goo.gl/maps/Ug1sGJE1PP6eJBJNA
5. Spare tyre should be in good working condition. If not been used recently, ensure that you take it out and check the condition properly. Also ensure that you have the wrench that can be used to remove your tyre (if needed). In the past we have seen that people upgrade their tyres but still keep the the original wrench which is of no use to remove the upgraded tyre. So please ensure that your car has the right tool to remove the tyres (if needed).
6. Air compressor, proper shovel, flag, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, radio
7. Fully charged radio (tuned to all Carnity Frequencies) with spare battery / radio. If you have a car charger for your radio, please bring it along.
8. Car charger / battery pack for your mobile.
9. Plenty of water, approx 5 litre per person.
10. Bring along your breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc in easy to eat packing. We shall be having breaks in between the drive.
11. Dry food, energy bar, cookies, nuts, crisp to munch while driving
12. Bring garbage bags along to carry your trash. Littering in the desert is strictly prohibited.
Please make sure all the off-road gears and jerrycan is strapped properly.
Please take this event seriously and understand that this terrain, due to its remoteness and size of the dunes will challenge everyone on this drive. If you decide to bring passengers, please make sure they have spent a full day already in a vehicle in the desert and are used to it. There are hardly any nearby exit tracks and rerouting might take hours, so once we are in this terrain the aim is to complete the entire drive and visit the Yellow Truck

What is Yellow Truck ?
Buried deep inside the Bu Hasa Desert near Madinat Zayed City, there is an abandoned water tanker truck, which due to its remote location, has become a pilgrimage for many Offroaders all over the UAE.
How did it get there ?
That remains part of the mystery.....
What's the location ?
You will have to join the drive to find it....
And why exactly should we go there as a club ?
This area, together with LIWA Moreeb area, is the ultimate playground for offroading, where you will find monstrous dunes, stadium-sized bowls, and the sheer size and remoteness will make you really feel you are in a different world ! This will be an unforgettable experience and will make you become part of our yearly pilgrimage team !
When?? When ?? WHEN ??
We have several drives lined up during the UAE National Holiday Weekend of 2022.
Check the drive calendar and BOOK NOW !!

@Gaurav we deflated to 0Psi and kept the leaking part facing down, lowered jack then turned full right and left few times. It created a gap between the tire bead and rim bead sitting area which was enough to clean the sand by spraying water.

@Mus_hus78 this was a different trip at Hammem towards Liwa 2 weeks prior to Moreeb drive. It was a warm up drive 😃

An old story forever locked up within me! Today, I have decided to get this outstanding drive into words, still not being enough.
Driving through liwa dunes every winter is always a pilgrimage journey for me, where I get the chance to explore more, and this time my plan was to pierce the proper liwa dunes. We had attempted the planned track twice before, which we were unable to complete due to reasons.
This time, I had planned on starting from Liwa city, towards the moreeb dune where we can find one of the most tallest dune in the UAE and one of the largest hill climbs in the world. On reaching the moreeb dune, my further plan was to return back from where we had started.
Returning back to the start point through the slip face was really challenging for me, but surely @Frederic made my plan much easier by sharing a track which helped me execute it better. "Thank you my Freddy boy"
It was quite a short distance, around 70km, with extreme challenge being faced. I believe this track could be the maximum level of dunes which can be attained filled with number of pockets, bowls, sharp ridges and massive slip faces which is next to impossible to climb, and of course the unpredictable soft patches.
The dune formation in Liwa is totally different from what we usually drive through. Climbing to the top of the dunes is really challenging, and once you reach to the top, the rolling dunes are marvelous, making it really enjoyable to drive on those sets of rolling dunes.
We had a very short and sweet convoy
@ShereenMK in his Land cruiser was my second lead promptly correcting the tracks whenever i had an obstacle. @Karthikeyan Govindarajan was behind him in his LC followed by @Mus_hus78 with his co pilot Khaleel bhai in his pajero and finally at the end @Rob H with his black panther tundra. I salute you all for driving in one of the most challenging dunes without a single stuck which is really commendable. It was a beautiful morning on February, 27th 2022 and @Rob H was the first one to arrive at the meeting point and he was waiting for us with deflated tyres and flag on. Everyone showed up after me and we all were set to go on time.
After safety briefing and few tips from my previous attempts to cross on those monster dunes, we left to explore them. It was really challenging for me to lead the track and find a easy way out through the pockets and soft patches all over the track. I was the only one who got stuck and recovered 3 to 4 times. At one point, at the time of recovery I ended up with flat tyre and after inflating we noticed that the air was escaping through the rim bead. The challenge was to pop out the tyre to clean the sand. I learnt a new technic from @Rob H (Rob Harper) who is by profession a race car expert on how to pop out tyres without moving the vehicle. After a quick fix we reached moreeb dunes prior to the planned time. We all had lot of fun trying to climb the slip face straight up and exit straight down for almost 1 hour. After fulfilling our quench to play and having quick snacks we planned to drive back to the start point which I planned parallel to the track we went. It was really challenging to drive back through slip face but we did it and exited the drive on time by 3pm. It was a wonderful experience for me which is one of my the best desert drive and looking forward to drive in such terrains again.
Salute to all of you for your support and for joining the drive and make my dream come true. See you all this winter - "LIWA Returns"
And last but most important, would thank my daughter Zaina, who navigated me throughout the drive and has already started reading the dunes.
